Hello, yesterday I tried to make a backup but when the phone re-booted it has stucked on the LG screen...I tried to open the phone with KDZ Updater (after i downloaded the .kdz), I entered in Emergency Mode but the program is saying: "PHONE NOT FOUND". Any solution for this? Thanks

Actually just disable in Device Manager under the Modems section : LGE virtual Modem. You should have results with this .
On another set of ideas ... you made a back-up with what? Do you have Amonra's custom recovery installed ?
If you do you could just manually go into it ( Vol down + Home + Power ) and then reinstall your ROM .

ha ha...oh my dear...with ur russian 2.3.3 u have flashed a new baseband( what is baseband?....look here...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseband)old roms, which includes all custom roms works on the old baseband.now u have two options left to get back ur signal
1) use kdz and flashback an indian froyo 2.2(aka downgrade)and then perform zroot then do what u want.
2)head here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 or download this and flash its a baseband fix by MIK..http://www.multiupload.com/R9CEDO2HS9 (Q: I have new baseband, how fix gsm? (you have new baseband if you upgraded your phone to official 2.3.3)
A: Flash this: gsm fix (support for new baseband, this is not baseband itself).
WARNING: Data don't works, wait for new fix.).
by using 2nd option u would not be able to use edge or 3g..only wify.

I have rolled back now to Gingerbread Stock V20B .. Now network is fine
I am thinking to get back to froyo stock rom.. Will i face the same problems again if i do so.??
Between what went wrong, why had my IMEI and network details vanished when i installed devoid-froyo-final.??
Because it does not work with the new baseband

for a few weeks and all was working fine until today. All just worked fine until some moment that all stoped to work. Now i dont have any service anymore and when i try to reboot it and it starts again i get:
-No widgets load
-"Process system is not responding" Force close or wait.
-Cant boot into xRecovery
-Flashtool wont recognize the phone
-phone keeps making notification sounds for no reason
-i get no service
-cant connect to wifi
-wont recognize SD card
-randomly freezes
I found on this forum that this problem causes because i install a new busybox thats what created this error. But i cant get back in to xrecovery again or back to my SD card since my pc doeosnt connect to my phone. So also SEUS doesnt connect, what can i do to reset it all or atleast to get back into xrecovery?

Try reinstalling xrecovery from flashtool. You should be able to even with force closes.

Go to Application -> Dev Tools -> Bad Behavior -> Crash the system server then reboot. Give it a few minutes to settle then if that doesn't work, download xrec v0.3 from below. If xrec installs then wipe cache & clear Dalvik cache. If none of those work you have no choice but to reflash.

How exactly are you trying to root? Have you tried the flashtool, z4root or super one click?

I've tried all of them. Flashtool has always worked for me in the past but all I can do on it at the moment is flash the stock firmware it won't let me click the root option.
Z4root would go through everything but then when I donloaded busybox it said I wasn't rooted.
And with super one click it would spend for ever trying to find the device, never find it then the programme would freeze.
Do you have any other ideas?

Z4root & Superclick are my backup procedure in case I'm not infront of a pc and I always use the flashtool to root.
Are you sure usb debugging is enabled? I know I've made that mistake before then realized that it wasn't enabled. Stock 2.1 does not enabled this function by default as far as I know.

Yeah I made sure I wasn't making that mistake I've tried turning usb debugging on the plugging in my phone, plugging in the phone then turning on usb debugging, I have no idea whats going on. It has really confused me :/

BTW what firmware are you using? If you are still on the branded firmware that might be the reason why so flash a generic 2.1 firmware then try rooting again. Here's an example:

If you look at the last few posts Uberlight25 was using branded firmware and had the same problem as yours. After flashing generic 2.1, he/she was able to root again.

Thanks but I worked out that the problem was that I didn't have the debug driver installed, I fixed this by reinstalling PC Companion

I have the exact same problem. Did you solve it?
I device maneger SEMC USB Flash show up with a yellow warning sign that indicate that drivers are missing. I have tried to install SE companion but that did not help. Also I cannot flash to a stock rom via SEUS.
Someone suggested to install xrecovery again ... but how?

hi guys, i bought a Galaxy S II GT-I9100G two weeks back and everything was running good and i updated the firmware through the official site to DZKJ2 (Android ver. 2.3.6) and now when i connect my phone to my pc via usb it shows unknown device and i dont see the usb mount option on the drop down notication menu .. and now i am in total mess .. can only transfer files via wifi .. someone help me out .. havnt rooted my phone as yet .. but first this needs to be fixed in order to root the phone i guess ... H E L P

the DZKJ2 has quite some bugs in it.. and as for now, i suggest u to use odin and reflash the stock rom DZKJ1.. use this if u dun have the stock rom http://www.multiupload.com/6L8BALT56F

doesn't have to root your phone to use odin.. and put your phone in download mode then odin can detect the device

Reinstall your usb drivers on your computer (Kies) there not working properly, but first try to use another usb hub on your computer than the one u are using usualy

sorry but to tell u.. thats the firmware problem.. not the usb driver.. even u tried to install the driver again it will show as failed to install.. thats a personal experience for me..

I don`t think firmware prevents a usb connection between pc and phone. It might not see the phone but there is a connection

previously i had the same problem just after i update the firmware.. and i tried most of the solution include the one u said.. nothing works.. but then somehow, i found the solution to solve by flashing the previous version firmware

when i'm still at stock rom.. i used the manually search for update and it helps me to update my phone from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 and thats where all the problem starts

man i had the same problem with my sgs2 .. i cracked my head for a while, but i found some solution that worked for me.
go to Settings---->Applications---->Development----->Uncheck the Enable Debugging mode ...

I am sure there nothin wrong with the usb drive in my pc because i tried all the slots and i even went to my friends house to check , but still the same issue .. So it's the firmware update that's causing the error. And i wana know whether if i use odin and flash my phone back to 2.3.5 will i lose all the apps that r installed on the phone ?

there's a way to root i9100G.. since normal i9100 ways doesn't works.. u can try to flash this kernel http://www.mediafire.com/?vudqw1fd711uov8.. by the same way u flash the stock rom.. and u get a CWM and root
The usb connectivity issue got fixed automatically .. Don't know how but today when i connected to the computer it automatically installed the drivers and i was good to go ..
Now that it got fixed i need to root my phone . And i only have experience rooting my earlier phone Xperia X8, could you tell me the steps i should follow to root and the files needed as well as where to get them . And as u see my phone is GT-I9100G so the files on the ordinary S2 won't work on mine .. And i am scared that i might brick my phone lol . So help me out here .. Ty

actually there isn't really any proper root for i9100G.. but the post before is the easiest method already.. just flash the kernel using odin by ticking the PDA slot and put this GKernel http://www.mediafire.com/?vudqw1fd711uov8... after that your phone should boot itself.. after booting your phone will have CWM and superuser by that means its rooted..

hi all..i'm from malaysia..how can i reinstall my x10 mini stock firmware with xxxxxx006 baseband..last day i change my default.prop baseband to xxxxxx015 and my kernel to 2.1xxxx..then i update my e10i using SEUS..it successfully change my kernel and baseband to xxxxxxx015 and 2.1xxxx..but the problem is this firmware cannot detect signal in malaysia..telco in malaysia is celcom..and after this upgrade i'm not able to charge my e10i via usb on pc and its only can be charge using wall plug..after that i try to change to cyanogen mini mod..but its still the same..how can i get back my kernel and baseband to 2.0.0xxxxx and xxxxxx06 becoz my warranty was expired..please help....thanksss

with this program you can rollback your phone to android 2.1 and fix your problems.
if show them message that say your phone have the last update are you want to continue press YES!

hi i recently bought a second hand s2 which i was very happy with. then i learnt that ics was out and decided to update it.
when i tried to update it using the phone it seems to update until it rebooted and an error message flashed across saying can't update.
kies says i cant update it and ive tried an app to see if it was rooted which came back saying it wasn't

running gingerbread 2.3.3
anyone have any idea or even how i could update it thanks

So, when I connect my phone to Kies I get the message... "Your device does not support Software upgrading via Kies" And when I right click on my device name under 'Connected Devices' the 'Firmware Upgrade' option is greyed out (see pic below)
I've tried removing my sim card and memory card before reconnecting to Kies. I've done factory reset many times... I've uninstalled / reinstalled Kies many times... also on different computers not sure what else I can do now?

That is (XWKF3) an unbranded firmware with a UK CSC (XEUKD1) you currently have installed. Are you in the UK?

may b its some defect , thts y i don preffer buying 2nd hand an the seller could hav updated it to ics ,so y dint he i gess????? but try flashing 2.3.3 again an try and u need atleast 30gb i think for a proper update ,but u say tht is no issue..so once jus flash stock 2.3.3.

It probably is a defect with the phone. I think I'll take it to a phone repair shop and see if they can flash it for me. Thanks

Everything was fine , rom installed , the phone booted , and everything was flawless till I found I miss Icon for entering a Phone Settings menu , yeah it was really missing....well I though it wasnt big deal cuz I got icon from status bar , when I tryed to press on it in order to enter setting menu , it gived me an error "System PI stopped"..... I got Root but rom dont have CWM preinstalled and thats the problem , I CWM.apk on the SD card but in order to install it I need to turn on unknown sources....as I said I cant enter setting menu.....also I cant enter my google account , also gives me some error.I got root and superuser installed , I got ES file explorer which got root explorer but I cant edin anything from it idk why..... I tryed to flash stock ftf from flashtool , but still need unknown sources and USB debugging on......so thats it , sorry for my bad english , but I really need help , I have flashed so many roms and things and , thats the first time something like that happened , am also with unlocked bootloader

Since you are on unlocked bootloader just flash a custom kernel... That will get recovery back from there you can try installing rom again...

I tryed to flash custom kernel but still cant do it , I cant get the device into a fastboot mode. When I connect to device into PC flahtool recognise it and its all okay , when i click flash icon and choose fastboot mode , the device just disconnects , when i try to connect the phone via fastboot mode (menu button) nothing happens.... please got any other ideas?
