I recently remove the built in facebook app mistaking it for something else, I can't re-add my facebook account in "accounts & sync" cuz it because the app is no longer installed, can anyone help me on this. I have a back up but its 3 months old! Can anyone share the facebook sns or any assistance at all?

Did you try reflashing your rom? That should work.
Install Facebook App from market, that should do.
It would work fine.
It won't be integrated as before but it surely works good just as before.
Restoring the just the system back solved my issue, thanks!

Since yesterday I keep getting notification, saying that it can't synchronize with Facebook service. It asks for making another authorization. When I click on it Facebook app says that "Sony Ericsson Xperia application already has permissions. Click ok to continue". After I press it, Facebook app closes... and that's it. 1 minute later I get the same notification about synch issue. I've already tried to reset Facebook app, logout and login, changing synch settings but with no effect.
Also I'd like to add that actually I have no issues with contacts, photos, timescape or callendar synch with FB. Everything works just fine.
I'm running on 2.3.3 stock ROM and few days ago I made FB app update.
No big deal afterall, still help would be appreciated

I am gettting this issue too...good to know I am not alone!!
Same overhere, driving me crazy, tried removing and reinstalling facebook, disabling sync. Still same problem.

I just deleted the facebook accounts from ' accounts and synchronisation ' in the settings menu. After that is stopped bugging me.
Damn, I didn't expect so many folks to have the same problem. I assume it must be some kind of problem with FB service then.
And it's really annoying to see blue icon on your notification bar every time you unlock your phone!
I have a diff FB sync issue. I tell it to sync only with friends in my contact list, but it just syncs all my FB Friends and adds them into my contacts. (Which is the same as if I say "Sync All")
Yahoooooo, happy to know I'm not the only one....
Damn it, sad to know that so many people are having the same issue...
Oh well, hopefully it has something to do with a possible FB app update, to make it look like the web FB in mobile view, since the Iphone has got it already...

I fixed it by going to facebook(browser), privacy settings, apps, removed my x10 from the list
Then from the phone in accounts and sync i removed the main facebook accounts(fix gets removed atomatically) and adding my account again
Just got the authorize message twice and after that i havent seen it again since yesterday

Apparently the problem solved itself. No notification today. The phone works fine.
^^ yep, it seems authorization issue got solved globally.

It's not issues of fb spp. Its issue of fb inside xperia2.
Solution :Make a backup and factory reset your phone. Or wipe your data via xrecovery

This afternoon start, my SE xperia Neo are not able to connect to Market, Gmail, Calendar, Facebook but I can surf net using Browser.
I didn't change sim card or google account, it just can't connect.
But my tablet got not problem.
May I know what could be the issue and how to solve it??
Sorry I have fixed the problem.
Not sure when the date has been changed to year 1980 (I never change it)...
After I changed back to 2011, it back to normal.

I have just bought Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro. I was having HTC ChaCha before this.
So before selling my HTC, I backed up my Contacts, SMS, and Calendar using an application 'MS Backup' from Android Market (Google Play).
The Calendar entries and SMS were saved as XML file.
Now when I bought my Xperia Pro, I went to Android Market and tried to find the same application, but it was gone.
I somehow managed to restore my contacts and SMS, but I am still unable to restore my Calendar Entries which are very important for me.
Can anyone help me how to restore my calendar from that XML file?

Have you searched the web for that app you used with your htc?
I think you still can find it.
Maybe your phone isn't compatible and thats the reason why the app isn't listed.

Yes, I have searched Google Play but the application was not found. I also thought that the application is not compatible with my Xperia, hence I opened Google Play on my friend's HTC ChaCha, but the application was not found on it too.
Did you backup your Calendar entries with your google account? That would have been a better option.
you probably live outside US. download and use market enabler.
then try searching the apps you wanted

i have a Mini Pro with CM7
it vibrate when it starts, but no bootscreen whatsoever

i have synced some contacts with gmail, but some are not

is it possible to extract contacts from the phone without booting?
First, I am afraid that you are on the wrong forum. I saw your previous posts and they were in Xperia Mini forum not X10Mini Pro forum.
Second, if you saved contacts on SIM card, just plug it in to other working device, make sync of it. And if you have turned on auto sync, it will sync automatically with your google contacts, so why not check your google contacts again since there are chances.
