[Q] N64oid - Click Themes and Apps

Hello,
Have anyone runned successfully N64oid on our Tattoo's?
I tried it on Gingerbread.
But when i started game it FC.
Anyone has runned any game?
Thanks.
Edmunds.

Is that a N64 emulator?
nice, I thought it wasn't possible.
I'll check it out

No one has tried N64oid? I think it have to run faster than PSX. becouse of ROM is small.

I wouldnt count on that...
The developer refuses to release it for amrv6 devices because he thinks it is too choppy.
Well I have one of these and I am running almost every ps1 game I tried at playable speed...

psx4droid on HTC Wildfire

Can anyone confirm psx4droid (playstation emulator app) running playstation ROM on HTC Wildfire ? I tried it with games extensions .ISO, .PBP and even .bin, but the games do not start at all.
I think Wildfire speed is not a issue (I am running @710 MHz with CM7), since somewhere (in XDA forum only) I read it is running on HTC Hero which was running @600 MHz.
Below is the Youtube link showing it runnig on Nexus One:

Err... Wildfire is also a 'droid....
I have gotten it running, albeit slow as crap of course. OK for some 2D, Turn-based Strategy Games like Legend of Kartia (love that one). But it should still at least boot. My only guess is that you have a bad BIOS (or incorrect BIOS for the region of the game) or a bad CD-RIP. Try using ISO Buster to rip your games into BIN/CUE format.
PBP is an EBOOT file. You are not trying to play PSP games on a PSX emulator are you!?!?!

Hi @jonusc,
It is nice to hear that psx4droid working on HTC Wildfire. But, for me, it is still not working. I am using SCPH1001.BIN BIOS file. Can you please suggest any other BIOS file ?
I tried with Legend of Kartia as well but still no success, only black screen for few seconds and the application comes back on 1st screen. Is something wrong with my setting ? Can you please share your setting info ?
Edit: I am using com.zodttd.psxlite (psx4droid lite version)
I can't right now sorry, I'm in some deep hackery to try and get the Patched Market working on our Wildfires again. But I remember following the VERY extensive guide, found here on Google Docs - http://bit.ly/bDsevs - or download from here - http://www.mediafire.com/?5i7p63a5c55a145
Here is a compatibility list - http://psx4droid.wikkii.com/wiki/HTC_Wildfire
Note that it's a pretty futile attempt, at least until psx4droid gets some better optimizations for Software 3D rendering (maybe never, harrass ZodTTD if you like lol). For example, Diablo1 notes are - "Run's at roughly 2FPS on rooted CM6 Froyo o/c to 768mhz". LOL!

All the PSX games that don't lag and the best Custom ROM/Kernel/Overclocking for this

I'm currently running on Mik's OS and Kernel Overclocked at 768/122 using SetCPU. I installed PSX4Droid and tried opening Resident Evil 3. It lags like crazy.
Now, I understand that this phone doesn't have 1ghz which is regarded as a standard for any PSX game to run on Android. However, I also see different threads here where someone said Megatron ROM can handle basically all the emulators. Is this the only ROM out there that can do it efficiently? Are there others?
Also, I see that there is a thread dedicated to all the PSX games which can run on Xperia Play.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034472
I say, why not we have one? I can test games and consolidate the list every week. However, I need some advice as to what are the perfect settings to run these games. How about giving me some?
I'm on Ginger-Lol 1.5 and my phone doesn't lags so much....

Best playstation emulator?

Are there any playstation emulators that are working on the galaxy tab 10.1? All of them seem to have weird sound or poor fps. I think psx4droid worked on the xoom, but it's not playing nice on here.
Would also like to know this. Psx4droid just doesn't run any roms, and Fpse works, but lots of frame rate and sound issues running FFVII ( which according to the internets, is one of the best running roms out there).
I've seen it running really well on a phone, don't see why it should run badly on a more powerful device.
using FPse with Crash bandicoot and it works fine for me !
After I updated to Touchwiz UX FPSE started working alot better for me. Before I wasn't getting any sounds in FF9 and the sounds during regular gameplay were very choppy. Now I am getting 52-60 fps and sound emulation is great.
+1 for FPSe
Went through many emulators and the is by far the best.
Using an older version of psx4drioid (pre v2) works the best on tegra devices, havent tried it yet on my GT but on my old g-tablet it was the best emulator. Version 1.2 or 1.5 if I recall correctly.

honycomb does not play nice with psx4droid
use FPSe
- download scph1001.bin from the net
- go to FPSe settinges
- than system
- bios loading and choose scph1001.bin
- restart FPSe
- enjoy with the almost 100% working games with sound and everything
I've found most RPG games have messed up sound with FPSe, anyway to fix this issue? Final Fantasy 7,8,9
whenever i get ff9 fpse wont load it, where are you guys getting your working roms from?
Fpse is the freaking best man, it even works flawlessly on my nexus s
+ 1 fpse
I wish I could get FPse working for me, I have the correct Bios, but when I load any game it shows a black screen for 30 seconds and then force closes. I know the roms are working because they work with PSX4droid (however PSX4droid randomly crashes and sound clips). Do you think its because I'm using the Starburst ROM? Or possibly I have a bad bios file?
FPSe loads FF9 fine if I have the BIOS file loaded, except:
1) Graphics look like crap. There are settings that VASTLY improve graphics quality but these make it laggy/choppy
2) No sound in many areas. Basically, there is no background music
Well FPSe is working great in terms of frame rate and all that ... But yeah getting a weird sound issue where the music in FFVII seems to be chopped off a little.
Notes don't' seem like they are completing or something. Kind of weird.

I'm having trouble with fpse. What files are the Roms you guys are using? Do I have to unzip them or rename them? I'm a little lost. Thanks.

Make sure you enable spusync or whatever under the audio settings. FFVII works great for me <3

Runs perfectly smooth with no slowdown in FMV sequences? Because I am not having a similar experience. I have messed with the settings a lot, and I can get generally smooth gameplay and battle sequences (50-60fps) but I cannot keep the FMV scenes from being stuttery/jerky at time.

I have spusync option on under audio and frame limiter + frame skip 50fps. With these settings i get smooth gameplay in any game I have tried including FFVII and FMV scenes.
Try it out, the frame skip 50 fps allows some games to run normal for some reason with out any jerky gerky. (make sure frame limiter is active)
Happy gaming!

Emulators

Hello guys,
Is there any emulators i can use on my G5 to play some classic games like the old Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Golden Axe etc? If so where can i find them?
Thank you
Pretty sure it works for most android phones
> Market
> Search (Emulators) should show a bunch of systems people have made for our phones.
> Roms, either find Rom Gripper or search the net for roms.
Hope that helps.

Thank you so much!
Searching the name of the game then ROM should work like "Pokemon Emerald ROM" or the console then ROM like "GBA ROMs" that should work well or http://www.romfind.com/ to search for ROMs.

I got a few from slideme.org from a developer named yongzh. Here's his page:
https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
I've tested all of the emulators except for N64oid. They all run very smoothly. It's even better when you use the Wii classic controller or a Sixaxis.
I also tried the two Playstation emulators on the Android Market - FPse and PSX4Droid. Both run slow depending on the game, but FPse is better. The only game I tried was Tombi, which was playable, but is overall slow.

Depends on the device as well.
FPse runs about 50-61 fps on my droid incredible.
Any game and all I have played have caused no slowness.
It's hard to play since I only have a few HW buttons and multi-touch registers only two touchs. A third touch is canceled out.
N64oid runs.. decent... Around 10-20 fps. Depends on the games too, Zelda runs kinda smooth but the sound crackle kills it.
Mario party is merely unplayable and Mario64 is super smooth.

[Q] Emulators after ICS not working

Anyone else try nesoid, snesoid, n64oid, etc?
None work after I updated to ICS. I get the intro screen on the games and then a blank black screen and force close. There goes one of the best things about the tab..
I'm assuming I'll just have to wait for an app update for ICS

My N64oid and SNESoid both work fine after ICS....

For me, snesoid seems to be hit or miss now. Donkey Kong Country would load, but after the logo the screen would turn black but with audio. Can't close it afterwards and have to force close.
Games like Final Fantasy III and Super Mario World loads and plays fine though.
Edit: Downloaded SuperGNES and those games now work.
I am also having issues with SNES and ICS. IT will load with a black screen and audio then force close. I have gotten it to load once and it was super smooth for like 10 minutes then my TFP suddenly restarted.
Hoping for some updates or more stable emus! This was one of the main reasons I invested in the keyboard dock for USB controller support.
Anyone else having luck with SNESoid since ICS update?
I have no issues with emulators on ICS. I have snesdroid, Genedroid, Neodeoid, & FPse. All work great. Its always been some roms are hit or miss. Depending on the source you get it from. For me all my emulator games work fine.
SNESoid not working
I am also facing an issue with snesoid with ICS. When i open any rom it goes blank and again returns to the select ROM window.
Update: I installed supergnes and everything works perfectly
What about nesoid? Its very choppy for me on ics. Its on Xperia play.
