[STATUS ICONS] HoneyComb REEDITED WHITE - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi everyone again,
This time I present to You HoneyComb inspired status bar icons.
185 icons, some of them are reworked from my previous theme (You can find it HERE). New battery icons, and smooth charging animation. WiFi status is a bit strange, but after a few runs You love it Hope You find them cool enough for You devices
Icons have transparent background, and they will work with all themes for SE Eclair roms, but just in some cases, like Black HTC Theme (by draco_ag) the icons are full compatible. What that mean? It means that the battery icons will update every 1%. In other themes cases the battery stat icon will be updated every 10%. This is about the xml files in framework-res.apk. Not every theme is capable to update battery icon every 1%, sorry... Please notify themes authors, maybe they consider updating.

Tutorial HOW-TO-INSTALL:
- Open framework-res.apk with 7zip
- Select "res" folder from downloaded archive, and drag him to opened 7zip window
- When prompted "Are sure You want to copy...?" select "YES"
- Close 7zip
- Push framework-res.apk to your phone

Please have in mind, that it's the only fast, and safe method. Don't try to update framework-res.apk another way, or You get a bricked phone after pushing file to system folder!
If You aren't sure how to do this please ask. Asking don't cost, and can protect from messing up Your phone!
The safest way to push framework-res.apk to Your phone is using ADB Mask Controller. When You f*ck up Your phone is always a chance to get back with this app. Please be careful, and read everything before You try to install!

Well, You can try color them in photoshop. I think it's not a big problem. For now it's just white version from me.

i need to integrate these icons into cyanogenmod...but for that I require bigger icons 25*25 pixel
i had made a request for bigger icons in your other thread too...please can u provide them (i need the icons from ur older thread, not these)

Sorry, I don't do nothing for the CM until it's out of beta.
You can always resize these icons by yourself. Just canvas images to 25px if You want to keep the quality. Ofc notice me if You do that.

Resizing the image degrades the quality....
Canvasing the images preserves the quality but the icons look tooo small in cyanogenmod...
thats why i want the original icons in 25*25 dimension

wow nice man!! this would look good on black htc theme... =]

how long does this usually take? uhmmm just tried it now, and its almost 5 min... will play dota and check out after 30 min,,

i manually replaced the framework-res.apk using root explorer, phone automatically died after pasting then hangs on the SE screen... more than 30 min and nothing happened...
care to share?.. T_T

do you think i still need to set the permission like this?
if ever this one is the missing link, can you help me combine your two themes... sorry for posting in your two post, =[

Thanks a lot to Twolf for the icon
Feedbacks and Donations are my inspiration.
Gratulation, work fine on HD.
Great idea. Would be good to be able to change the order of entries as well.
Gratulation, work fine on HD. but also create a new folder in start menu. There already is an original icon.In new folder does not give the new icon.
Looks great, will try it, thank you.
Your probably not taking request for now, but here are a few future ideas....
- Icon themes. ^_^
- Change icons order: Changes the values from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\*\Rank
- Save/load icons order: Backups the full regkey from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\StartInfo
- Change the icon's size: Changes the StartMenu_GridScene_***x***.cpr XML or overwrites the Windows .CPR pre-stored in the app's folder.
- Change the star menu columns number: The same as above.
My contribution:
Only did 29 icons, wont do the hundreds of others for other softwares, hehehe, sorry about that.
Included a 200x200 px and 45x45 px pngs, also the original FLA where I made them, it opens with flash CS3.
Enjoy.
Congrats again on this great software, if you need a Icon for it, let me know.
That's creepy, I had just started work on a very similar application last night, but fortunately you've approached it differently than I have, so I doubt our projects will clash.
Hope you don't mind, but I might 'borrow' some of the suggestions you've got for start menu ordering. Themes could be done by simply saving the values in all of the registry entries in a simple XML file. (Remember nested folders, which it doesn't look like HComber can handle right now)
Might take me a couple of days to complete mine, it's not even got a real name yet...
Out of interest, which language have you written HComber in?
Very nice found!
Works pretty nice for a alpha release...
Twols: Awesome Icons! Hope you'll make some more for all the usual WM6.5 stuff
thanks mushipkw for your god work...and twolf for your fantastic icons....my samsung i780 have a great menu now...
awesome stuff mushi. no more flashing roms just to get the pretty icons thanks for icons too twolf! and is it just me, but when icons are put into folders, say i move album into multimedia, i loose the actual icon. it reverts to the old style icon. not necessarily related to the app. i think just 6.5 in general. although, if i copy the icon back into the folder from start menu, it will get the new style icon to display. just weird i thought

Sharing Ideas/Themes/Icons

Hi everyone,
I just recently learned how to theme and create icons for your status bar, so I feel the need to expand on that and help others and create good looking things for them. I'm posting a screen shot of what I have done with my phone and would like to get ideas and/or things that you have done. I know there is a screenshot thread, but this isn't the same. This is coming together to make the best looking icons or best looking color scheme for our phones.
I am using JBoogies Orange deblur Froyo rom and I flashed his red ginger theme for a base to start. A lot of what he did is no longer there, but it was very helpful since I am just starting because it gave me a good idea of what needed to be done.
I don't know how to create a flashable zip, so if I provide you anything it will be an apk that you will overwrite your apk with, unless someone can explain to me how to create the zip.
Anyways, share your ideas.. Here is a few pics of my work so far.
Widgetlcker modded, changed battery icon to draining android, changed wifi icon, themed signal bars, themed dial pad, with the help of JBoogie created a black swype keyboard, themed the smaler icons like vibrate, alarm etc. (I have also had the circle battery icon and the regular one of course just colored. )

Yes, blurdialer.apk, you need to go into res>drawable-hdpi
You can modify the colors in there, but do not mees with any file ending in .9
then you need to change the permissions before you overwrite the existing app.
should look like this
read write execute

I know but what file exactly do I have to change?
I mean the background of the Dial Numbers!
Ahh, As far as I know the only way to do it is to theme the .9 files. Here is how you can do it http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/draw9patch.html
I have not tried, if you do let me know how it works out
Have you done the Theme above?
There the Dial-Numbers have a square around them. How do you do that? Which file did you changed?

It's the dial text field, I guess I have messed with the .9. I know usually those aren't editable, but apparently they are, I just hadn't noticed that is what I was editing. Just made those straight lines rather than the round look
that android battery icon is 2big imo
what i do like is the slidebars on widgetlocker... do u know how I could do that on default lockscreen that comes with jboogies rom?

[MOD] Blue and White battery% + Status toggles mod (Based on p3001ee's) HD Icons

Completely re-done this mod based off the great status bar mod made by p3001ee
This is an ICS mod with status bar toggles and the battery changed to my custom percentage battery icons.
To install just flash in CWM. Tested on stock ICS and KA10 but should work with any.
Now four versions!
StatToggle_BlueBattery.zip - Blue battery
StatToggle_BlueBattery_BBar.zip - Blue battery plus brightness bar
StatToggle_GreyBattery.zip - Grey (desaturated) battery
StatToggle_GreyBattery_BBar.zip - Grey battery plus brightness bar
UPDATE (20th July) I have replaced the toggle icons with higher res images and the nice gradient bar.
This is the blue battery version:

Yeah thats looks pretty sick, well done.
What about a version with the outline of the battery removed, might make it more even compared to the other icons?
I can't use it to confirm .73 right now but i will be soon.

So taking the great work of kahei036 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24297751&postcount=14 I have further modded the battery to blue instead of green as I use a blue theme across my XS. I also moved the numbers down which I think looks quite slick. It goes orange below 20%, red at 10% and glows red at 5% as in kahei036's original.
Screenshot:
To apply I used Root Explorer. Unzip the below and copy the framework-res.apk to your sdcard.
With Root Explorer move it to \system (you'll need to enable read/write) then change the permissions to rw-r--r--
Then move it \system\framework overwriting the one that is there (you might want to copy the original out first for backup)
Reboot and you are done!
I am using this on .67 firmware but it should work with .73 as the Android version is the same. If someone can confirm that'd be great.

I have one curiosity: those files shoudn't be on SystemUI.apk, instead of Framework-res?

can you do this with ICS framework.res please?
or tell us how to do it XD
is it work with the ICS?
Thanks for the great work
Can you please tell us how to do it ??
It's actually quite simple. All I did was pull the framework-res.apk out to my desktop and open it with 7zip. Inside is a res folder and inside that are various 'drawable' folders. The Xperia S is an XHDPI device to I pulled out the drawable-xhdpi folder and inside that are all the battery icons. The painstaking bit was manually editing every icon with GIMP
Once that is done, you just put the drawable folder back into the apk (drag and drop it back into 7zip) and then push the framework-res back to the device.
It's easy really.
I am working on the mod for ICS now. The battery is in SystemUI.apk for that but the process is mostly the same. Looks like the XML in drawable will need editing too though as standard ICS only has about 5 stages of battery images instead of 100
Updated for ICS, see the first page for details and downloads
Great!
Charging icon does not move (im now at 95% batt charging)
worked like a charm
thanks
Can you make a white one please?

Tested both! semi-transparent at first as you recommended and then full transparent. I like both! I think I'll remain at full transparent.
Great work! I hope I don't lose smoothness in my Rom or it requires too much performance. By the way, my Rom has an issue in changing lockscreenwallpaper, you have any Idea how I can add attached picture?

Can you made this lock screen as per my wish

If you're having problems from Settings menu, then follow these steps:
Open the apk file with Winrar/7-zip
Navigate to /res/drawable-hdpi
Replace the file default_wallpaper.png with your own png file
Push the apk to /system/app/ with 644 permission
Clear data of Lock screen (Settings>Apps>All) in case wallpaper doesn't display

Not working on Ultimate HD 3.0.2 :s

Oh, great! Thanks for fast reply. I tried it, but my 7-zip always said "not implemented" - so I searched more a little and found this

A- Goto settings->Display->Lockscreen (if you are on JB lockscreen)->wallpaper->choose wallpaper and click ok.
If it doesn't work for you then follow these steps:
1. Crop you desired wallpaper (480x854).
