Is there a faster music player? - Wildfire Themes and Apps

Hello folks,
I've been searching for a faster music player for my Wildfire android phone. Because the default with the sense skin is ****. It loads and scrolls very slow. But I didn't found anything usefull.
Someone knows a minimalistic/fast music player, just only the basic stuff, no equlaizer, visual things ect.
Thanks,

i used winamp for a period of time... it's free on the market

I'm using Music PlayerPro and very hapy with it.
It looks nice and smooth, has got a nice Widget and Lockscreen

-nevermind-

Music PlayerPro FTW.

i'm using Music PlayerPro too.. n work well

Tiny player
Search for "Tinyplayer" on market its free n just 60 k app it dsnt hv much of Eye catching features but is lightest

I use Miui Music (QVGA)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929727

just have a look at
ttpod
real player
winamp
double twist player.... and choose the best that suits u.
consider lyrics and subtitles support if u need.
so many other players in the market, if u r free to search.
and im not sure whether the above miui music player works with unrooted phones also.

Player pro is nice, especially with the pure white skin.

I use Rockit

I use tinyplayer.

I see the topic has risen after 2 months, but for the sake of it - try Vanilla Music Player. It's really lightweight, has a cool widget and seems to drain less battery than any other player.

I use Poweramp which is the best player out there!

For me, it's Rockbox
It's not the prettiest by default and it definetely takes some getting used to, but it's by far the most functional player available.
I've been using it on my Cowon D2 and I'm glad they made a port for android
Rockbox supports pretty much ANY format there is (hell, it even plays NES-roms and tracker formats), supports ReplayGain and gapless playback, has a proper shuffle mode and countless options to tweak the sound to your liking (Crossfeed )
There are 2 prebuilt apks for our screen size here. The upper one is portrait. There's no switching between both modes atm

+1 for poweramp. First app I purchased, and I do not have any regrets.

I like PowerAMP, its almost only one with EQ ! I really love the preset Bass setting in EQ combined with Koss portapro headphones

Ill send u a tip in private msg.

For me it's between Winamp and Playerpro, Winamp is free but Playerpro is a little better IMHO. Both are good, if you don't mind spending the Benjamins then get Playerpro, you won't be sorry, otherwise get Winamp... Both are brilliant. Oh and you might wanna root your wildfire and run CM7... It's the way to go... But yeah if you're worried about warranties etc. then I guess you could stay on Eclaire... it's just like you're holding your phone back...

Any Good Alernatives to Android's MP3 Player?

i got a question about the native android mp3 player. its VERY slow in scrolling though songs. and pics of albums take time to refresh. its annoying. is there a faster mp3 player in the android market but that delivers the same sound quality of the native android mp3 player?
Sound quality, get PlayerPro or PowerAmp.
Want functionality and extreme style, nothing beats UberMusic for me.
There's more on the market, but those are tops for me.
Ubermusic is awesome give it a try. I turned off the album art cuz it downloads a band pic for the background. Pretty snazzy.

Ubermusic is extremely stylish and has a great UI straight from Zune, which IMO is the best UI. I also use MusicFX for my EQ and it seems to work well with Ubermusic. To use MusicFX, after you download it, go into your stock music app and go to settings and there will be an extra menu Sound Settings. Enable it there and Ubermusic will use the settings as well.
For the best of the best in terms of features and sound quality, you can compile your own build of Rockbox.
Or just ask me to make a build.
Only drawback is that it's not written for Android, but rather, other portable digital jukeboxes. The amount of features though far surpass those of any other apps.
You should give PowerAmp a try.
Miui player, no doubt. Beautiful ui with lyric download support. Smooth scrolling.

But then you have to be on MIUI, which can be problematic...
Nope, nothing beats UberMusic for me.
Another vote for Rockbox for sound quality
I also like MortPlayer for its focus on folder play.
If PowerAmp were priced more around $3 and the UI wasn't so 'customized' I'd go for it.. It's just over the top.
Zune UI? Ugh. Really?
I've tried a bunch and honestly I keep just going back to Music Mod. It's an updated version of the Froyo music player with a few added features and nicer widgets.
TTPOD
I have tried all of the above and only miui came close to ttpod perfomance....For me TT-pod is the best music player and its absolutely freee......
you dont have to be on miui for the player... there are standalone versions to download here in this forum

You don't need to. The apk is standalone.
none of you guys ever in to gapless albums? so far i've only had Jukefox that satisfies my gapless needs
I strongly recommend Jukefox, Mixzing or PlayerPro in terms of functionality.
Another vote for Rockbox.
Gapless, ReplayGain, crossfeed, proper shuffle and equalizer and it plays virtually any format, even tracker formats and nes roms. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once you know what to do, it's great.
There are some precompiled builds for different screen sizes here:

Oh wow, someone actually compiled it and put it up for everyone! And I was thinking I was going to offer builds to the community, but I guess someone already beat me to it!
Thanks for the link.
For me, gapless, replaygain (omg replaygain! I don't know any other mobile player that supports it other than Sansas), and I can use my themes and configuration files across 3 different devices: Android, my Toshiba F, and my Sansa e200.
Glad I could help. I didn't make the builds nor do I host them, though. I just found that link on the rockbox forums
I bought poweramp and have been using it this while and its very good and is pretty extensive in terms of features that one expects from an audio player.(normal user audience and not audiophiles). tried ubermusic today and it sounds better than poweramp(or may be just louder) but does not have any equalizer options for now. Also scrolling is a pain if you have more songs/albums.
Will try rockbox as many here have recommended.from the precompiled builds link which apk should i download for sgs2?

[Q] What is your favorite app for music playing?

So what is your favorite app for music playing? and why? key word APP so no flashing or anything hard. Just like from the market. and I know this has been asked a few times but I would like to know what you use. Like what you like about it. Simplicity? Features? etc. thanks in advance.
ALSO, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. It is regarding apps but I wasn't sure if it should go in Q&A cause those questions seemed a lot more general.
TTPOD. and UberMusic. Poweramp is cool sometimes.

viva la MIUI
Poweramp is the best..
eq makes a huge difference.
PlayerPro - tried some apps, but PlayerPro has all I was looking for: A nice interface, lockscreen controls, can play videos and runs very stable.
Player pro is the best! Ubermusic is nice too but very simple interface for me..
I use poweramp.
Ubermusic
I love the UI although some said it's a mock-up of wp's music player.
Google Music 4.0.1 currently. Although I search for another one.

Nice and loud.
I can honestly say after trying various headsets, IEMs with all the music apps available, the best match of music player, phone and headsets are all different. Since poweramp, Zplayer etc all make a slight difference to the sound quality, you should try all to find which is the music player with your favourite signature sound.
If you like to EQ, try equalizer or Volume + in the mixture as well
Lookwise, I personally like Zplayer.
ease of use, probably playerpro for most but poweramp for me cuz I really like the way it divides the folders.
Google music + beta, that's where I store my music. I mean after all placing 6000 mp3's on my sd card would just be crazy.

Music app
I use gtunes...its cool, its free, music is free...the downside is that not all mucic you search for using gtunes will be available.but for free music is great. There is a new version of it on the market called music downloader if my memory serves me right.the correct gtunes app is difficult to find now days.
My favorite is definitely Google Music 4.0
The new UI is leaps and bounds better than 3, despite not changing a whole lot... it just feels cleaner. And the addition of being able to stream and cache makes it the most feature filled imo. If you're an EQ guy (I typically want flat, because hey thats the way the producers intend for it to be heard) their is an inapp option that takes you to your EQ of choice from the market, and it feels very fluid, almost as if it were part of the app itself. Google has come a long way in the music department in the year I've had my phone.
I'm using Fede's Music App (wp7'ish)
PlayerPro looks like really cool!

[Q] Best Music App

I have a 16Gb Class 4 MicroSD card. Ill be putting my music from my iPod over on to it plus some other stuff I have. Should total around 8Gbs worth of stuff.
Im looking for a music app that will allow me to keep great battery life, simple, nice/intuitive interface. Album art and lyrics arent necessary. Perhaps something with a nice EQ.
Google Music is great, but not necessarily what you are looking for. It's main purpose is to free up space on your card by streaming music from the cloud.
I've only used that, and the built in player for CM7. Both worked great.
PlayerPro has a great UI, skins, and an addon equalizer you can download. I love it.
I like using the Standard HTC Android player. With either DSP, or Beats Audio it has really great sound.
Best one has to go to poweramp
Sent from teh epic pony using XDA Premium
I use a mix of poweramp for music on my SD card and Spotify for music streaming.
PowerAmp is pretty good, you can try the trial and see if you like it before you buy which is great.
Any more suggestions? PlayerPro and DSP slow my phone down bad.
Hello all,
I'm new to XDA, looking forward to talking to you folks, so here goes my first post
I like using these 3 music apps
3 - I think its called cubed but yeah search "3". Very nice music app with a slick UI. The only reason I don't use this solely is because its shuffle feature isn't so great, a lot of repeating songs, other than that its great. Free and donate version
Zimly - Nice media player with a few options I don't need but I use it anyway. Free
MixZing - This player has very nice widget options as well as EQ settings, lyrics, artist biographies...I could go on. and its all free
I was going to post links but as I'm a newbie I'm not allowed to do that yet
PowerAmp
In my oppinion, the best music app is a PowerAmp. It has great design and fuctions.
I am using poweramp right now, it's perfect, beatuiful UI, skins, EQ
Yeah i would also recommend poweramp.
personally im a big fan of google muic. with the skyrocket there was some ****ty samsung media player that couldnt locate some of my music. weird.
Google music
Google music need more improvements and time. Maybe few months later.
PowerAmp or PowerMP (it's changing name to second one) but i offers great functionality and various of options (searching for album arts, eq and tag editor etc.)
First post for me and first to suggest Mortplayer. It's a fast and easy player with nice widgets.
I don't use genre playing etc. I have a sd card with folder MP3 and within that several folders. In Mortplayer I select the main folder and within that I choose my folder of music I want to listen.
It supports playlists, has a nice equalizer and just works great for me I have no wish to change to another player.
After reinstalling PlayerPro it hasnt been as laggy. PlayerPro is what Im leaning towards due to its superior DSP tuning options. It offers the most bands of EQ from what I can see.

Another Media Player thread..

I know this has been threaded many times.. but with updates to players and new players, I'm wondering what you all are using these days and pros and cons.
I've used PowerAMP fairly exclusively and when I wanna stream for some music I don't have or wanna hear different things, I use Slacker Pro.
I love PowerAMP, but am getting a little tired of keeping all my music on my sdcard. So I have been toying around with Google music..excuse me, Google "Play" Music (eyeroll)... Combined with DSP Manager, I must say its pretty good. But I don't think its good enough to ditch the power of poweramp.... Id put it at roughly 80% of the sound quality of PA.
Yes im using a Rezound, but I HATE beats audio. All it does is add some bass.
So what are you guys using?
Winamp any good? I heard it syncs with desktop app...?

I didn't like winamp....ya it works with your PC wimamp software but I suppose only it's pro version.....
I use power amp I've tried other music players but its the only one I keep going back to, it just has the best sound quality IMO.
Power Amp is well worth the five dollars. Its customization options make the difference - you don't want the same level of bass and treble on everything.
Spotify + DSP Manager
poweramp and miui
poweramp and miui. but i like poweramp most. they both got shake gesture controls
Since I've recently kissed windows goodbye, Banshee is what I like to use in linux.

for me I use n7 power pro and the stock music player. Sometimes cloud skipper they are all different I just try to see which one sounds good to my ears.

I personally use Winamp, although it is slowly turning bad (paying to adjust sound levels?), poweramp was alright when i tried it, but i see no reason to pay for a media player when the stock ICS media player and winamp do the job just fine.
N& Player for me, i like the interface of that player ...
And i also prefer ZPlayer because of the Windows mobile music player interface
Have you tried PlayerPro or n7player? are great

or why the hell they haven't made other widget options like transparency.
I still use Google Music or Winamp Pro ... beats audio mod
I stand corrected: they have a whack looking little 4x1 widget that it looks like someone took five minutes to make. Shame that such a great music concept has received so little polish.
I use N7 player because i like the interface
I personally like PowerAMP
I use Google Music, haven't even tried any other player...
The beats audio thing is good only if you have Beats headphones. It recognizes it and optimizes the equalizer for the headphones you have plugged in. My Beats Solos sound quite good on my Evo LTE. I honestly haven't tried any other players yet but just wanted to point out that the built in stuff works good with Beats specific headphones.

Best Music Player for Android?

Hey guys... I was just wondering what is your best music player for android?
In my own opinion, PowerAmp is great but its more music freaks. I really do not need an equalizer and all the fancy features that PowerAmp has. However, I do like PowerAmp a lot because it was able to play almost every kind of music file I threw its way.
Another great music player in my opinion is PlayerPro. It is easy to use and it is interface is nice. It does not have any of the fancy feature of PowerAmp such as the equalizer and that is a plus in my book. However, it is able to play almost any type of music file and that is awesome.
I like the Google Music player too. It does what I need it to do for the most part but I don't like the fact that it supports a limited amount of formats.
I found this site as a cool site for more about the best android apps:

After having paid for launcher pro and having the dev abandon it with empty promises, I'm kinda reluctant to run with uber music.
Player pro (paid) has the best interface in my opinion. (ics theme), and very good folder support. (keeps the parent folder intact) so I can browse my folders by artist and more.
BUT it is a bit buggy. Id tagging doesn't stick, notification widget on jelly bean freezes, no fade in/out on play, pause, resume. Average song quality.
Power amp is less buggy, notification widget is perfect on jb, and it has better sound quality than playerpro (could be placebo)
Unfortunately I find the interface less intuitive and way less user friendly, and the folder browser plainly sucks. It doesn't respect parent folders, so i cannot browse by a folder structure. Good id tagging though, but doesn't do bulk tagging.
I've been going back and forth between them (having paid for both), atm I'm running power amp.
I wish I could have a music player with proper folder browsing, proper bulk id tagging, simple interface, great quality playback, fade in/out play etc
Most players have very poor folder browsing support, such as default players, google music, apollo, etc.
I'd love some good advice on the perfect player (playerpro and poweramp marriage?)
