[Q] market in cyanogen mod for folio 100 - Folio 100 General

Hi all!
I have installed Cyanogenmod 7 RC0 - Android 2.3 / Gingerbread for Folio 100 rom from DerArtem ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933989 ) and I am not able to find the market app.
Also the option to add a google account is missing. I have read the post of the rom and didn´t see any answer to this. Is it a known issue of cyanogen 7?
At the first place I thought that could be that my sd card hadn´t an ext3 partition, but I created it and reflash the folio with the rom and everything is the same. No google anywhere.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!

ok, it seems Cyanogen doesn´t have the google apps anymore (not sure since what version) and now y have to download a zip to flash the google apps...
now looking for that zip...
P.S.: yes, I am a newbie with all this...

I continue answering to myself... just in case this helps any other newbie...
As I found in here * now we have to install google apps after installing cyanogen mods.
but... I downloaded the zip and flashed it and... still doesn´t work... I am not able to add my google account to the tablet...
* i cannot put outside links yet (new user) but if you go to wiki [dot] cyanogenmod [dot] com and search for Google_Apps in the wiki you will find the page I was trying to put here.

I have the same problem. I flashed the Tegra app image but i cant add an account. I also have problems with the folio buttons not responding good.

it looks like that we have to mount /system in recovery before flashing google apps.
I saw the thing here here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11614708&postcount=23
I am using the one in cyanogen wiki page for cyanogen 7 http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps
For me it is working fine right now...

[Q] market woes Vegan 7 Experimental

Using the latest Vegan experimental build based on gingerbread and loving it. However the market is kicking my butt. It opens and shows apps, although not all apps, and even shows that i have purchased some apps if i come across them in my searches. However the "My Apps" tab is always empty, showing no downloads. I've tried all market fixes i could find and have used market enabler to no avail. Am i the only one with this issue? I should mention that the market was working before with TNT 4.2 and then with Vegan 5.1. Help is appreciated!

seems to be a gingerbread issue with our tabs for the moment. Can't purchase apps either.
Ok,well there is some comfort in numbers! Just curious if i had done something wrong with the install and was the only one havong the problem. Thanks for the info, i'll just keep watching the forums.
Has there been any status on this? Running latest Vegan-Tab 7 Experimental, and now my market myapps is empty as well.
Been using app center app (found in apps section of this forum) to fill in the missing holes from market place works rather well
I've tried every flavor of Gingerbread rom, and it's the same thing on all. When you first install GAPPs, and open the market, everything installed and all purchased apps show up in the "My Apps" section, but as market or something updates, and as soon as you exit that first time it's empty since. When I flashed the latest version of Vegan Ginger back on the 8th I used the universal CM7 gapps off the cyanogen wiki page.

I've still had the empty "My Apps" but am able to download and purchase apps with no problems. As best as I can tell, I have as close to full market as you can get. (Haven't searched for anything that I couldn't find)
Can't find the Market App on Vegan Gingerbread experimental.
Greeting,
I rooted my Gtablet with latest Vegan Gingerbread experimental.
It all went smooth until
Part Three – Install Flash and fix Android Market
Step 3.
Open the Market app. Once it loads close it (press the home button).
I installed flash, but I can't find the Market App of Step 3. Is that expected?
The tablet functions really well in everything else.
Thanks
It's labeled Experimental for a reason. I'm sure when Gojimi gets back from vacation he'll have more time to get more up to date on some of the cm7 fixes. This issue is known in the thread for that rom. If you need a stable market go to 5.1.1. Me I'm dealing with the market woes for now myself.

I wouldn't follow the walkthrough for that step. On the vegan gingerbread thread, gojimi put the market update file there to download. It's on the first post of the thread. Once you install the market with clockwork you can find flash 10.2 in the market. The walkthrough you're following links to 10.1

Thanks,
This tip help clear out my confusion. I expected the market to be there. I had no idea it needed to be installed on it own.
Thanks again
My newbie two-cents
I soft bricked my gtab one hour out of the box, but thanks to the Almighty and you guys I'm running vegan-7 and loving it. Market works great and so does flash. This was my first Rom mode, but it won't be my last. Thanks to all who post here and let the games begin.

[Q] Quick Question

I just install CM7 to my Aria for the first time with no problem at all and im just wondering, where do i start to get Games, Apps such as Facebook ect... Because I no longer have the Android market place on my phone. Help please
After installing CM7, you should also install the Google Apps separately. It's listed at the bottom of the first post of the CM7 thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=956223
Install it the same way you installed CM7. Don't wipe anything, just install this on top of what you have now and it should work.
Genius thanks so much

Android 6 for LG-P712?

Hello, community! I was wondering if there's any Android 6 rom for LG Optimus L7 II (P712). I was told that CyanogenMod supports through CM13 a lot of LG devices but P712. But I decided to give it a shot anyway and I will share my experience with you.
I took the risk yesterday and I installed CM13 on my cel phone. The installation process was perfect (I used ClockworkMod Recovery), I also installed Gapps perfectly. I rebooted my device and it loaded and updated all the apps (it took like 10 minutes). After that, I had to setup my wifi network, google account, etc. Everything was good so far, but then, when the menues loaded my camera and radio fm weren't shown. The rest of the apps were right there and it recognized my wifi and mobile service provider like a charm (I called and texted myself from another phone). But... after a couple of minutes a pop-up started to show up saying "Unfortunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped" and since there, it was a nightmare haha. I couldn't access to my keyboard at all. I understand it's an issue with CyanogenMod and they are trying to fix it.
But after that situation, I decided to flash my device using "Flash Tools 2014" and Android 4.4. If any of you know about another rom with android 6, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
What gapps was used, and which cm13 build?Seems P712 is all like my P713,and on mine i got no lags(excepting camera app, just needs to install another camera and delete stock one).

Hi DS_katauri, thanks for your reply. About gapps, I tried to install different packages (mini, full, nano, stock), I downloaded them from opengapps. But it seems many people are reporting issues like the one I had. Btw, the rom I used was the "cm-13.0-20160330-UNOFFICIAL-vee7-RC2" (I'm a new user so I can't attach links... I downloaded it from androidfilehost, the user who uploaded it has useful things there). Thanks again, for your reply!!

Yep,Neutrondev made a lot of pretty things for our LG.
About ROM,try this one(latest build from Weritos) ,use version for 713 and gapps provided.IDK will CWM work,if no use Neutrondev's TWRP 3.020.Also,gapps should be installed after ROM but before 1st start.Lags are - built-in camera(use snap hdr and delete stock camera and gallery via root),wifi(sometimes connects only manual),no function on qmemo button(not critical at all)...And a specific feature - no internal card only SDcard I'm using it now(actually writing from it).Only three apps make me angry, katemobile(russian vk.com social network alternative client) - can stuck phone(idk why),viber v5x or v6x(both can FC in unknown reason,v4x all okay),and Opera4android(chinese idiots forget the "clean cache" button).
Oh,and launcher,Nova still remains the best.
Good luck and don't forget to backup your current ROM to SD.
Hi DS_katauri, thanks for your reply and all the info you shared with me. Unfortunately, it didn't work on my smartphone. Yesterday, I installed the rom and gapps by Weritos but the camera didn't work at all, it kept asking me for my sd-card (even after I formatted it). For the same reason, I couldn't download photos, take screenshots or anything. And I couldn't install whatsapp because it wasn't compatible with my device anymore, so I had to give up. Thanks anyway for all your help!!

Will look on new release of Weritos CM13 soon, probably it will help

ROM with MIUI and without gApps

I like MIUI itself or lets say that what xiaomi.eu or other make out of it. But it is annoying that gApps is pre-installed there. So I am looking for a ROM which comes with MIUI and without gApps. Anybody found such one?
Is it difficult to take a rom and just remove the gApps from there? I mean before installing it on the phone..

I think MIUI chinese ROM doesn't come with Google apps preinstalled, the global one does.
Yes the chinese ones don't come with gapps, but therefore have a lot of other chinese bloatware on them...
What I found is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969755
But it surely doesn't apply to Android 5, does it?
experimental solution to remove gapps
I tried to block the gApps within Droidwall/AFWall+, but these still send/rec pakets which pisses me off.
I found a solution. Credits go to:

I have xioami.eu ROM HM3_6_18_v8-5-1. From there I extracted the update binary specific for my Redmi
This is the list of apps which I have deleted is:
/system/app/GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter/GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
/system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
/system/app/LatinImeGoogle/LatinImeGoogle.apk
/system/app/TranslationService.apk
/system/priv-app/GoogleBackupTransport/GoogleBackupTransport.apk
/system/priv-app/GoogleFeedback/GoogleFeedback.apk
/system/priv-app/GoogleLoginService/GoogleLoginService.apk
/system/priv-app/GoogleOneTimeInitializer/GoogleOneTimeInitializer.apk
/system/priv-app/GooglePartnerSetup/GooglePartnerSetup.apk
/system/priv-app/GoogleServicesFramework/GoogleServicesFramework.apk
/system/priv-app/Phonesky/Phonesky.apk
/system/priv-app/PrebuiltGmsCore/PrebuiltGmsCore.apk
With TWRP I MADE A BACKUP before and then I flashed the attached zip file.
As the google keyboard is also removed, you should have another one already installed!
Do on your own responsibility! I am not liable for any damages.
Issues
- The browser "JumpGo" doesn't seem to work anymore ( dns error) (the built in browser of miui as well as a lot of other browers does)
- Davdroid doesn't work anymore (dns error)
- The apk package installer from google is not removed at the moment
Very good? May be useful for me later after I got my first Xiaomi phone.

Hello retakal, thanks for your helpful post! As I'm also looking for a google free MIUI android system for my new Xiaomi 3S International.
As I'd base it on a the official global "land_global_images_V8.0.3.0.MALMIDG_20160805.0000.29_6.0_global" your bloatkill content
might not work the same (?).
Looking at the file structure/content of the extracted image I'm still not sure what file the META-INF data contains.
After a quick search I'm not much wiser - could you pls help out here?
