I mean, if springboard can do the real flipping action and look neat like
this one, why cant it be done decently on other Android devices?
Ive spent a few hours searching for a decent app... they all suck! Can anyone help me?? PLEASE??!??

About the closest I've found is "Sense Analog Clock" on the market.
I think the MIUI interface has one that is close also.

Is there really a market for this? I've always used HTC so I've always had it, but I don't see why it would be difficult to write one from scratch. What's it worth? I might give it a shot.

Thank you for your response, and yes.. I have tried that app.. but it is not getting updates from the vendor at all.. It think it's just an anonymous data collector.... Can't resize, Cant do Weather... Yadda Yadda, Oh yeah, and it also get's clipped when you go landscape.
Geene Poole- I think there would be a market.. the issue is, I heard that it has been done in the past, and the dev's have gotten C&D letters from HTC for patent infringement... If I were a dev, I wouldn't give two squirts of piss about the C&D letter considering HTC is a China owned company, and we all know how much China respects other peoples patents and trademarks
If I were a Dev, I would have done this a long time ago... Can I assist with anything?

Huh? All HTC Android phones running Sense 2.0-3.5 have the flip clock. ( Those running Sense 1.9 like Desire has it too but it doesn't have the flipping animations though.) Which version of Sense are you running?

the app he's using is fancy widget pro
i do like stock flipping clock widget that comes with regina3d launcher, also this one.

Read the permissions and how the dev never updates it.
I asked for the source code, but he wouldnt release it nor does he want any help with moving forward with development.

yes it does,but don't ask why,but it only works with certain roms,i now i works with ultimate droid 3.3,had it myself

Ok..i bought the lumia 800 on 31st jan,2012, since i found it very intresting at gsmarena....first i wanted to get the n9 but its not in our country so den i ditched the idea(regret a bit ) nyways...
Here it is...i have it..lumia 800..and flaws in a new OS are bound to be there..
1. sometimes call doesnt end...it just goes on and on till i hold the power key for about 20-30 secs(just to let ppl know dat this way it restars...cuz i heard some people leave it till battery drains out.. )
2.Battery drain, but a bit of a fix after the new update
im currently on :
OS version : 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number : 1600.2483.8106.11500
bbattery is better dan before...
bdw...i have checked navifirm and hav a firmware downloaded>>
1600.2483.8107.11501 though product code doesnt matter...seems updated...waiting for a go for a flash...lets see..
i will do it as soon as i find a way to back up the apps i downloaded..:/

3.External sound seems bad....but i noticed dat a better audio quality actually give better sound...and headset is good as well and bluetooth headset sound quality is super!!
4. Now this is noticeable but come ppl wont complain..i guess it does need a small fix..annoying to me..
so..wen u at ur homescreen press the windows button to make sure all tiles are at default position...now notice dat the 4th tile the Tile name is half CUT..like its going below the display area...now i knw its minor but still...needs a small fix..

#7 You can set your own slideshow for gallery tile. Add those pics you want to favorites and set "shuffle background" and it will use your favorites only.

As for #4: it's quite logic. Your screen has to end somewhere... By simply scrolling down you will be able to see the whole tile.
yeaea...but look at the end...it would b better if the tiles end a bit above the edge...this is like the tile name is half cut below....see..its just a few pixels...

Yes I see, but what would you prefer? A black border? No, that would be ugly, because then the border would have to disappear while you're scrolling. I don't think it's a bug
Ok, I'm probably being a bit slow here... how did you get that background on the tiles? Mine are solid with whatever colour I am using as a theme..

okkk...then for the error part..i'll research and do it...thanks anyways..and please do keep in touch...i just left the symbian devices and moved to windows so need a little help...but i figured out some parts..
I've got to chime in on the home screen tile placement complaint. As you play with WP7, you'll notice that it's designed to never have scrollable/swipable things fully on the screen. It encourages the user to scroll/swipe and see what else there is. It's kinda like having your hand held without actually realizing it.
I actually like that SMS/facebook threads are continuous. Have you noticed that you can actually switch a conversation between FB and SMS? Having them in the same thread keeps the flow. Or, maybe it doesn't. Guess it depends on how you like it.
If you'd like your gallery live tile to be more specific, set 'favorites' in your albums. Those images are supposed to take priority in the live tile displays.

I currently have one without weather, but it does have a flipping animation. I am also currently working on a new widget that also contain weather, but this might take a little while to complete so you will have to wait for that.

Good morning! I'm looking for a widget that just shows a (resizable if possible) live map, like a nav app when you haven't set a destination. Does anyone know if something like this exists?
I used a live background that did that? (I'll see if I can find it)
Thanks, yeah I did as well find a nice app for setting up a live wallpaper with different map styles etc. This is the one I tried. It's close, but not what I'm looking for. I want a widget that can cover, say, half the screen, split vertically.
