Same here. Dunno if it takes a reflash, but meh

i put it in flight mode and it managed to solve the problem some how...weird

My guess is that teamwhiskey did one of two things with bionix 1.3.1
1) used the buggy version of my pre-compiled Settings.apk with the am/pm toggle mod directly in their rom release without actually reading my posts to see that it had a bug. I've since pulled the Settings.apk entirely.
or
2) implemented the hack themselves, either by decompiling my mod, or using my original source code, but somehow used the bugged source code (which I fixed and updated within the first 24 hours, so I really have no idea why they wouldn't use the fixed code.)

Where is the Bionix 1.8 Hybrid Thread?

I installed the Bionix 1.8 Hybrid on my phone, other than the call volume being too low, it is working fine..
Where did that thread go and why did it get taken down? Is there a problem with that Rom?

Why?Is there an issue with that release. I don't want to be the only one on an orphaned rom...
Guess I will try a different Rom
I have it, and there was some few differences between it and his current Master one. Mostly, 2.1 Market, default puzzle lockscreen(i think, need to check settings), most of the samsung apps gone.
It was pretty much a stripped Bionix, nothing really special unless you REALLY hated the TW apps.
Yeah I installed the bionix hybrid too, and I really like it.
I'd be interested to know why it was taken down too, if anyone knows what the reason was.

[ROM] AOSP MIUI (fascinatemtd) 1.6.10 TEST#1 [6-11-2011]

Ok I'm not good at these threads, but here is the 1st build I've put together. This is built from JT's CM7 and MIUI.US Vibrant.
THANK YOU JT, without whom none of this is possible.
THANK YOU #miui-us, for guidance and a vibrant base to start from.
THANK YOU Nitsuj/TSM for pushing me into playing with this idea.
Working:
Calls!!
Bluetooth!!
3G data
WiFi
SMS
Camera/Camcorder
USB mass storage / sdcard
Not Working:
Sensors/GPS/MMS
Main ROM

Patch (Must be done in Orange MTD Recovery) "adb reboot recovery" is the best way to get there. 3button is not good.
Theme Manager/SuperUser (Thanks MIUI.US Vibrant team)
Rogue Roaming Indicator (Thanks times_infinity)
Signal Strength is now accurate

Work Around for Deep Sleep/No Call bug:
1) Install this app "Load Monitor"
2) In the app settings, check "Add Notification", then check "Wake Lock"
3) Set the update interval to 5seconds
This should prevent your device from deep sleep which is of course a batter drain, however you will receive calls. If its worth it or not is up to you.

[ROM][3/16/12] MIUI ICS v4 2.3.16 BETA [4.0.3][Icy Glitch v14]

Since the official MIUI.us ICS ROM has been released, I will not be watching this thread too closely anymore. I will still check in every once in a while to make sure all questions are answered regarding this version. The official forum for the MIUI.us release can be found here. There is also a forum here on XDA: XDA Forum.
P R E S E N T I N G
MIUI ICS v4
Samsung Fascinate
BETA RELEASE
If this is your first time flashing MIUI v4, please read the instructions found here before proceeding: http://goo.gl/8aTyR
Current Version: 2.3.16
Download: http://tinyw.in/ttVR
md5: b77d14b92166f53e9e2fc03f758ec5d7
NOTICE: PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM. THERE IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HOW TO FLASH. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS OUTLINED BELOW WILL RESULT IN BRICKING YOUR PHONE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ODIN READILY AVAILABLE IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG. THE STEPS OUTLINED BELOW ASSUME YOU'RE RUNNING GINGERBREAD MIUI. IF YOU ARE ALREADY RUNNING TEAMHACKSUNG'S CM9, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FLASH THIS NORMALLY.
I have flashed this several times on my Fascinate, so I suspect there won't be any issues with anyone who is experienced in flashing ROMs. With that said, I will not be held responsible for any damage to your phone by flashing this. Flash at your own risk.
MMS WORK-AROUND
1. Download Set DNS from the Market
2. Open the app, click on the dropdown box and select Custom
3. Enter 8.8.8.8 for DNS1 and 66.174.92.214 for DNS2, hit Apply
4. MMS should now be working
How do I boot into recovery?
To boot into recovery, open the Updater app, press the menu button, and select Reboot to Recovery
What works:
Inbound and outbound calling
Sending and receiving SMS Text Messages
4-Way Reboot Menu
USB Storage
Camera
3G Data
Wifi
MMS (Works with work-around above)
Themes (you have to add a folder called theme to /data/system/)
Bluetooth
Music app
Gallery
Backup app
Alarm clock
Bluetooth
MIUI Music app
Possibly other things
What doesn't work:
Signal bar sometimes shows no signal when there actually is signal (Better, but still not perfect)
As of 2.3.16, Root Permissions doesn't work
GPS
Probably other things
Torch App
Changes/Fixes Implemented in This Release:
Updated ROM to 2.3.16
Got rid of that Roaming Indicator Off message in the status bar
Added the MIUI Torch app (doesn't work yet though)
To Do List:
Fix GPS
Fix signal bars
Find a way to make MMS work without having to change the DNS
Find a way to get themes working without having to manually add the theme folder
OTA updates
Am I missing something? Let me know.
I'm working to get this ROM as bug-free as possible. If you guys find any bugs that aren't listed here, please let me know.
Thanks:
jt1134, sbrissen, teamhacksung and everyone else who is responsible for making cm9 a possibility for the Samsung Fascinate. Also, thanks to MIUI China for the awesome ROM.

do you have themes and things enabled in this? not flashing because of issues. just wondering; I played with porting this about a month ago but never got past some of jts fixes so didn't release anything. one issue I couldnt figure out is themes; most of the systemui did not appear to be themed as it should have been. do you have that working right?
also is the music app in there yet? that's one reason I didn't bother continuing work, it was incomplete in the way of miui apps and stuff.

Themes should work. They were miss placed when we were working on it. all you had to do was create a themes folder in the system folder. I think they are fixed now.

Themes didn't work for me. It would "apply" them, but wouldn't actually change anything. It's pretty cool to see MIUI v4 on the fascinate though, I had fun playing around with it. Although without working data, there's not a whole lot you can do.
One thing that should be remedied is the fact the you cannot boot into recovery from the reboot menu. I had to three-finger into recovery which is a no-no with ICS apparently, and even though my backup looked like it restored normally, it wouldn't boot back up, it would just boot back into recovery. Gonna odin now and get back to THS beta 6.
Thanks for working on this though weblexa, I'm confident that with the help of JT and others in the community, you'll be able to make this a great rom. I never see you in the #samsung-fascinate IRC channel, I do see JT and sbrissen in there quite a bit though and I'm sure they'd probably be the most help with ICS. Just a thought.

Yeah, I really need to start getting on irc more. I'm sure it would be very helpful. I'll look into getting the reboot recovery option back into the reboot menu for my next release. Another option would be to use terminal emulator to reboot to recovery. Haven't tried it with v4 but don't see any reason for it to not work.

AOKP Build 25 Rom Port

First off, all credit should go to Roman and the AOKP team for creating the rom, JT and sbrissen for making the fascinate able to run this setup, Stephen.k.Spear for the first port of this rom, and anyone else I forgot to mention that was involved (sorry). I'm not looking to take this port over or step on any toes, but I just wanted to share an awesome experience with the rest of the fascinate community.
Link to AOKP main site (changelogs, forums, FAQs, etc.)...
http://forum.aokp.co/
Installation instructions (have latest cwm recovery)...
-reboot into recovery via power button reboot options, terminal emulator, or rom manager (no 3 finger reboot if on any ics rom)
-wipe data / factory reset
-flash THS build 2 (not required if already on an ics rom)
-let phone boot up
-reboot into recovery via power button options
-wipe data / factory reset
-flash AOKP build 25
-let phone boot up
Build 25 download link...
http://db.tt/IBc5scHR
Info, fixes, walkarounds...
I based this port off of THS Build 6, and the Toro AOKP build. I included the gmail, market, and file explorer apps (have titanium backup on your sd card and easily browse through the file explorer to install it...then restore your apps). Everything is working flawlessly except for mms. A walkaround is to download setdns from the market (free)...
http://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co.mytechie.setDNS
Open app, choose custom, set dns1 to 8.8.8.8, set dns2 to 66.174.92.214, hit apply, reboot to recovery, wipe cache then dalvik, then reboot. Mms will work identically to all the other mtd based roms (no mms over wifi).
Currently the option in rom control / lockscreen options / enable fast torch is inop so there is no need to add it to the reboot options menu. An easy torch walkaround is to download flashlight + led from the market (free)...
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight
This app has a nice option that while on lockscreen, shaking (adjustable) the phone will turn on / off the led camera light, along with a lot of other great options.
Currently the option in rom control / lockscreen options / lockscreen wallpaper is inop due to soft resets over all ports. The original dev is working on it.
As far as nav bar options go, under rom control / power menu options, turn on show nav bar toggle. Then, when you press and hold the power button for reboot options, the option to hide / show the nav bar will be there. After toggling this you may have to rotate, or open a different screen to refresh the screen itself where the nav bar was. You could also just hit lock quick.
While docked, and only when using the dock, the miui battery bar shows charging, along with the info under settings / battery. It doesnt show charging on the battery icon itself, or the lock screen. It is charging though. Ill let the roms creator know about this issue.
When rebooting from reboot menu, you have to press reboot then reboot again in order to reboot normally, otherwise leaving it on reboot will reboot you into recovery. Its as if recovery is default if nothing is physically pressed. This is happening over all ports.
**continue to look at the op for newest info, fixes, etc.**
...will edit original post after work later with a lot more info...

Freezing ISSUE SHOstock 1.3

I have been running SHOstock 1.3 for about a week now and I've been getting this persistent issue. My phone tends to freeze for a couple of seconds usually on the lock screen. And maybe at times when I'm texting. I have reflashed multiple times, full wipe, cache wipe, etc. I have also tried reflashing the kernel it self with the kernel cleaner zip. Still no luck I give up on looking around I never usually ask questions. I love the ROM its great to use very fluid and fast. I came from AOKP and I think I made a mistake in doing so. I just need the freezing part to stop. If not I am going back. Thanks if anyone has an answer.

I don't have this problem. But one of the first things I did was disable help on lock screen under lockscreen settings. Report back on if it did anything for you.
Second. As always I Always move all of my apps that are on SD card to phone memory. This keeps the phone in its smooth state. (This may be your solution)
I assume you're running SHOstock3 1.3? There have been some issues reported with the lockscreen widgets and/or wifi - read the SHOstock3 thread and search for these keywords. Not sure if there is a fix, but I don't have any major problems using the lockscreen widgets/shortcuts with wifi. Maybe once in a while, but not often.

It's a known bug. I think Sho mentions in the v1.4 changelog that he [possibly] found a fix.
Yes, it seems we'll have a fix soon:
(v1.4) UPCOMING Soon
-Added Flashlight Toggle
-Added Black and Red INK Lockscreen Effect
-Edited powerprofile.xml for sgs2 (Was set up for sgs3) Also Disabled a bool setting for a notification LED widget we don't have. (both seem to have fixed the lockscreen hang)
-Added JellyBean AOSP Lockscreen Toggle

O no, 1.3.5
I've had all apps on phone storage as well as the lock screen help was disabled. I did over look my apps to make sure thanks for the response.

I'll just be patient and wait it out. I'll end up flashing 1.3.5 as well.

It's a bug with xxlsj. Mentioned all over this and the i9100 section. Just searching my thread would have yielded you results of this. I may have found something since I don't get it anymore but others claim it's kernel related so we'll see. Remember this is a leak.
