One thing that has thrown me since I picked up my Tbolt last night is the fact the old market is on board and not the new one with the arched carosel etc.
Anyone have any insight on why this may be and why its not updating to the new one?

Not sure if we have a way yet to Root the Thunderbolt, but here is the APK for the new market...
Have to say I'm a bit shocked by that as well. Normally I would have the old one on my since until I went in it and exited it would update. Not the case here. Several reboot later still old market.

I've rebooted 3 times... nothing... Did you get it to refresh to the latest version?
No I didn't, maybe there's issues with it. It will be pushed out eventually.
If you want try taking the above apk and place it in /data/app naming it com.Google.vending or something along those lines and reboot

The Market will be pushed automatically, when I bought mine yesterday, it had the old market but after a couple of hours, I had the new.
New market here...Hmmm??
I still have the old market. Several reboots too. Plus some of my games are no longer available. But I think that is an EA scamming me, issue.
I noticed the same thing. I picked mine up when the Verizon store opened and it seemed to have the old market on it when I got it home. After a few resets and reboots (for other reasons) it seems to always have the latest market now.
mine came with the new market...
Got it to work finally... Force stopped the app, cleared cache and data and rebooted a few times and it finally updated to the newer version.

Mine updated the moment I opened up the market.

Guys, just wanted to share- yesterday after installing swiftkey x phone froze a few times, did factory reset- everything is perfect, tried installing it today few moments after it was done, while selecting it as the default keyboard - same thing display turns off while the captive buttons are on.
Yeah, I had to uninstall it cuz after I installed it, my sdcard would unmount itself out of no where, and I would lose 3d both in the YouTube app and the green hornet movie. I've had this phone since last month and never did that ever happen. Led me to believe that that version of swiftkey at least wasn't playing nice with my phone at all.

That's odd. I've been using it since it first came out. Never had a problem with any version of the app.
I tested it for 30 nuns or so and it did well enough. I liked the colors and prediction but i can type faster on default. Plus the buttons are too small lol. Didn't see any crashes though.

Maybe it sounds crazy, but where did you get the application from, i got it from amazon, maybe something to do with that (although i doubt that)
Weird been using it since it first came into beta then bought it they day it became paid in the Market, Haven't had a single problem with it. I like Swiftkey X better then the stock gingerbread keyboard and I thought no keyboard could ever beat that one. I hope you can get it figured out.

Works great for me I've been using it and earlier versions no problem. I have a feeling your having a different problem.
No problems here. I've been using SwiftKey for almost a year, first on my OG Evo and now my 3D. Maybe it has something to do with downloading from Amazon. I got mine through the Android Market. Did they ever figure out how you update an app you downloaded from Amazon?
Did anyone use Swiftkey back when each button would contain 2 letters and you could swipe to one side to choose the letter you wanted? The buttons were much bigger in that version.
The buttons are tiny in the current version. I really like the old version with 2 letters per button.
I am not sure but I tried putting it back on and got different wierd problems uninstall, and everything is back to normal

Yeah that bug started happening to me to (the one about losing 3d in the youtube and other applications) but I have no idea if it is because of this... I also have the version from the market place... So idk

I haven't had any problems at all I've been using it since it was the regular SwiftKey so. I had a free upgrade to "X" and its awesome maybe it's the amazon version.

No trouble here either. Used the beta of X. Then back to regular and back on to X when Amazon had it free. BTW original was an Amazon DL. Sorry your having trouble.

I have been using the new Android market for a week now and it suddenly does not respond when I open it. I just see the screen greyed out and the spinny saying it's loading. The thing is that it never loads. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice?

I was having the same problems with the new market. Just uninstalled the updates. Too slow and too cluttered.

Agreed. It actually felt good to go back to the original... I think the update that got leaked was unfinished or not optimized for 3DEVO

Same thing happened to me. It would take forever to load the first page, even over wifi. Uninstalled the updates, and it works great now. The new market is pretty, but I think the old one is more functional
Never had this problem.. hah.
I don't like the new market. I tried it for a week, but just got a new Evo 3D and won't install it on my new one unless we are forced to take it.

I likethe new market but damn is slow, some apps won't update or took forever when to the old one and it works great ill just wait for google to work out the bugs and push the update instead

When I booted the phone, it went to the old-style market. After a couple of hours, I went back in and it had changed to the current version.
It will always convert to the newer one unless you continually go back and swap it back. No use in fighting it, just get use to it.

The tmobile rep for my Target mobile kiosk (where I work) said the market looks different depending on the phone you have. I told him it always updates to the same one on all phones and he denied this... He said the green one is for some phones and the new dark one is for others. It pisses me off when ppl working in an area don't know what they're talking about -_____-

That's what I thought, but I have had my phone all day and using it extensively and it has still not changed.
i like the new market though! Very nice, simple, and fluid UI. Something I felt the Android was missing
New market 3.x sucks - it's buggy as hell.
Hopefully the downloads to /cache bug is less of an annoyance on our devices than the Infuse

I'm having the same problem. It seems when they switched to the play store, they might have changed servers and things got mucked up. App devs, are saying they aren't receiving their money from purchases. I can't even download apps that I purchased, and some don't show up in my purchased apps. Big headache.

If you clear the play data it should work. I still had issues after that tho . Twrp 2.0 the latest rc had messed my system up. Went back to Cwm 4.0 no issues.
I unrooted to just to make sure and it worked back on stock everything . Rerooted and went Cwm route no issues with market.

Hey all. So I haven't downgraded yet (issues with the tool version of doing it) but I have successfully bricked my phone several times today. This is my problem...using the same gmail account for everything, since my og EVO. When signing in today, after bricking, it doesn't register any of my purchased apps. Including xda premium, lpp, utorrent pro and a few others. What happened and is there any way to fix it?

You do realize it will take up to a half hour for the market to actually download the list of apps that you had purchased.
It's been about 7 hours and it has most of my purchased apps. I finally downgraded and everything at about 5 am. Almost immediately, it had most of my purchased apps. It is still missing a few. I just hope I backed them up
