Is anyone having issues with texting? When I text I get random major lag. It will hang up for 10 for 15 sec and then catch up then lag again. Ive tried restarting with no luck. I was wondering if this was a software issue.

Hey, i'm having this annoying problem.
In browser i can't browse for 5 MINUTES without a hang, saying after 20 sec of freezing "wait/close". I have tried 2-3 browsers, and the same thing!
Same **** in youtube. And In youtube sometimes the clips, freeze on 1-2 frames and constantly repeating them, and then the tablet restarts (rare, 4-5 times happened). Sometimes it let me to go to settings and clean the cache, and it's ok. But sometimes just reboots.
And same with the ICS, it sometimes hangs for a 2-3 sec, before responding to my touches?! It's usable, but super annoying.
I have disabled "Force HW Acceleration". I'm WW, so i'm still with .11 update.
I hope .14 coming in monday to WW to fix this or i'm giving this for replacement.
If you guys have some solution, i'm looking forward to reply's. Thanks!

Straight to the problem: sometimes (and in a very unpredictable manner), when i have an incoming call, plenty of problems show their ugly face. First of all, i sometimes can't accept, or decline an incoming call, because the screen isn't responding to input. Sometimes i can go around this by pressing the on/off button twice, and that would enable the screen. But, sometimes even that doesn't work. The phone just keeps ringing until the caller eventually gives up. When that happens, the phone continues to function normally.
Another problem is constant vibrations i noticed in several occasions. Instead of vibrating in "pulses" or "waves", the phone just keeps vibrating constantly, which can be very annoying in combination with the problem mentioned in the first paragraph.
At first i though it's a bug in my ROM (CM9 port for legend), but have heard people experiencing the problem on other stock devices (Galaxy SII on stock ICS, for example). So it is not that rare, but to this day i haven't been able to find a solution.
Did anyone manage to solve this problem, or find any information as to how this can be avoided?

Reflash, reflash, and if it happens again - reflash. The screen lock/unlock workaround was working about 90% of the time. I gave the phone to my father (clean new flash) and he didn't experience any issues with the rom so far.
Hey guys. My S3 started freezing randomly a few days ago. What happens is that I will be playing with it and then it will literary become unresponsive along with the hardware buttons except the power button. The weird thing is that the animation on the screen is still active: say I was writing a text and the little blinking bar keeps blinking as if nothing is wrong but the phone is simply unresponsive.
I did a factory reset and it is still happening.
Anyone have any idea what the heck is happening? Is it hardware or software related?
Have a read of the freezing thread in general forum, sounds like the operating system is dealing with bad memory blocks.
Well, same thing happens to me, i looked up on that tread about bad memory blocks: well i even tested the memory and works fine, no bad memory sectors, my hardware power button responds to restart (no need to pull out battery). When it does freeze it doesn't unfreeze at all after some time ( i once let it unfreeze for entire night on charger and it stood on the same screen after 8+ hours). I even reinstalled a different software (JB 4.1.3 Darky edition) and it freezes very rarely now but when it does, it's still same kind of freeze. When it freezes it freezes mostly on Twitter app but sometimes random app. I don't know now is it really a faulty memory or just software bugs... btw dummy file didn't freeze my phone (to be clear) after i reinstalled the software, but did it before on old one

I have exactly the same problem, when phone freezes nothing works except power button, when pressing it about 10 seconds, the phone reboots. I have exactly the same model (GT-I9300), but Lithuanian. The freezing lasts from 10 minutes to an infinite time. All the freezing started about three weeks ago, when google play started updating iron man game. I tried dummy file geterator, the phone hasnt freezed at all, but the phone freezes randomly when opening internet, other apps or just anytime, even when phone is on stand by. I tried flashing DarkyRom 4.1.2 XXEMB1, but the phone started freezing even more, then i recovered from the Nandroid backup, and the phone is now freezing not so frequently, about 1 freeze in 2-3 days, but it still freezes, and i also have a strange "Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped working" problem. I tried every solution to this problem, but none of them works. Also, i think it is somehow connected to the freezes, because after those messages phone freezes sometimes. I dont know how to solve these super annoying problems, because i tried nearly everything, and nothing works. I think this might be a hardware issue, and that i should buy a new phone. If you know somehing, help me!
Hi, i am experiencing an annoying issue while making calls.
it occurs when, i start to make a call but cancel it before it gets connected. and try to make a different call afterwards.. After i try to place the second call; it gets delayed for like 10 seconds. in that 10 second time period, the phone runs other programs normally . and suddenly it starts calling..
This gets very annoying . I reseted and reinstalled the system via Companion tool its still the same..
Anyone experiencing this issue and any ideas how to fix?
* I was using Truecaller and other calling related programs. Uninstalled and still the same.

In the last day or so many push notifications have stopped working or only randomly work. Also a couple days ago i had to clear play store as i couldn't install a few apps. I am on Ls992 zv4, holding off on updating joint for root. I will open gmail and sometimes be messages will pop in after a few seconds and sometimes i have to manly refresh and the messages will have a receive till of several hours ago. Sometimes i will get push notifications grim Facebook sometimes not. Another app I'm having problems with is Remind. I won't get push notifications but when i open it there is a new message there. Another issue i have it's the phone now randomly hangs and has locked up several times. I think the only time it has locked up was while using hangouts for video chat. Also since almost day one watching videos on YouTube or web browser videos will freeze while audio keeps going. If you pause the video it may play for 1 second or 30 before it does it again. And the phone can lock up for several second too when this happens. Its like the processor gets backed up and everything at once. Resetting the phone fixes the video and hanging issues for a short time but it will come back. Again i wasn't too concerned about the video issue at first going for root and costumer to fix the issue, but that looks doubtful now. Anyone else have any of these and a fix?
