[Q] Need some Opinions/ Advise? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My brother ordered his TB on Launch day and paid overnight shipping. Friday at 3pm he still did not have phone. Went to local store and the had in-stock so they called corp and my bro canceled the online order since the women said for some reason it wasn't processed yet. Now Monday morn rolls around and he get the TB from FedEx. And the charged his bank account. MY ? is should i just give him the money and activate it on my account (we have separate acct) since it was there screw up? Or will they end up charging him the $500 if he doesn't send it back? Thanks in advanced for any help!!

Call them as no one knows for sure how big red likes to play.

BuyMobilePhones caution?

I have ordered a T-Mobile upgrade thru BuyMobilePhones.net. Having never heard of the company before I was a little cautious. They do however have one of the best deals I've found for my situation:
600 mins
500 texts
500mb internet
18 months
£30 a month
19.99 for the phone
The closest mobiles.co.uk have got is £35/m and £50 for the phone. And as its an upgrade I don't have to fanny about changing my number over which is a Brucey bonus.

I rang on bank holiday Monday and spoke to a bloke who basically said he cant do anything today as its a BH and he would be on the phone to T-Mobile for too long and he took my details and would call back Tuesday. 'Hmmmmm' I thought, and agreed.
I got a bit antsy in my pantsy so rang back an hour later. I spoke to another bloke who took my details and said he'd ring back in ten mins after speaking to T-Mobile, he took the telephone password for my account (the one you tell the operator when you ring up), I was a bit apprehensive but gave it too him anyway (I have changed it now). He rang back after about 20 mins and said its gone through and I should expect delivery on Wednesday. I said goodbye but was still suspicions.
I then rang T-Mobile an hour later and asked if there had been any changes to my account. They told me a dealer rang up questioning an upgrade to a Motorola Milestone but nothing had been put through. I rang back BMP.net but they had all gone home.
So I rang them today(Tuesday) and spoke to the same bloke and he said they have to put it through as a milestone to get the best deal. 'Fair play', I thought, but the big question is will I still get it tomorrow (Wednesday). He told me that he thought there would be enough stock in for my order but there may not be and I may actually get it Thursday.
I have just rang up T-Mobile (Tuesday 18:20) to ask if any upgrades had been put through on my account and they said 'No'. I will call BMP.net a call tomorrow (Wednesday) at 09:00 to chase it up again.

I've had a the same order as yourself, but it's been stuck on the processing stage since yesterday morning when I click on order status.
How long did yours take to process?
As mines an upgrade I don't get access to that part of the site

I had a 'mare with Buy Mobile Phones a while back. Ordered a new phone, they dicked me about, finally sent it, when it arrived the box was open, so I sent it back and they told me they wouldn't accept it because the phone was 'used'.
I had to scream, shout and threaten them with the office of fair trade before they'd even concede that it was them that opened it (or someone previously); and even then they gave me the old 'as an act of good faith' line. They are, without doubt, the murkiest phone shop I've ever used.
I wouldn't trust them any further than I could push them with my piss.

The confirmation email says delivery, sadly the tracking number isnt tracking. Will phone cancel tomorrow if no delivery.

Got the same deal as thread starter, got tracking info via email from BMF. Should be with me tomorrow.

I also ordered the same deal as the first poster and I have a tracking number for City Link that is giving Wednesday as the delivery day with it currently underway to the delivery depot.
I ordered it 'new' despite being eligable for an upgrade with t-mobile. A new number for the specified deal appeared on my existing account ( a couple of my kids also have t-mobile contracts on my account) on Saturday along with the dispatch e-mail.
Therefore all looks OK.

How long was your order processing for mate.
I also ordered the same deal and got a city link tracking number which isn't tracking, but I'm told delivery is due tomorrow.... fingers crossed but will cancel and get elsewhere if any problems.

I ordered on 11th of April and my order was 'processing' until Saturday.
This was a new order.
Status is now that it is on the delivery van. Unfortunately I won't be there to receive it today and touch and go whether there will be anybody at home at all, so may have to wait an extra day.
Just had an email response to say that they have a massive backlog of orders for the galaxy s 2 and that is the reason for the delay in processing my order.

Has anyone NOT been charged for their Note?

I got a shipping confirmation yesterday for my phone and it is on the truck right now for delivery via fedex, however I have yet to have my debit card charged for the phone. Has this happened to anyone else?

Don't get your hopes up guys. You will get charged for it eventually.
Mine was charged FAST. AT&T is usually quick to withdraw money from my account. Then again, it could be the possibility that it's up to the bank or AT&T still getting authorization through the bank to withdraw. Some bank are slow.
No charge, not even a hold showing on my "available balance". Which is odd, usually those holds go through right away.
hey, this is what's happening with mine. week ago, i've placed an online order through attwireless which cost me 300 plus tax. but right after i've submitted my order, I somehow ended up on the bestbuy websites promoting their $50 giftcard with its upgrade plan. so i've decided to call them to cancel my order within 24 hours. when i got a chance to talk to the lady i was surprised because she couldn't cancel my order since it's in the "process" and she just told me to send the phone right away when i receive it. this order was done in last tuesday, Feb 8th and it's hilarious that i couldn't get it to cancel the shipment the day after, because it was too late. So what the heck, i just went to the BBM and preordered mine.
right now, i have a galaxy note package right on my desk sent by at&t but when i see my bank account, i do not see anything debitted by at&t yet. i've been talking to 4 diff. reps and they all say they charge your account right away at the checkout page. only exception was the iphone, she says, which had taken extra 7days to charge the customers.
but my question is will i be able to sign a contract on sunday when i go pick up my galaxy note with BBM even i have the actual note in my position from att?
will their system block me from getting another one? if that's the case, i guess i have to send it back before sunday so i don't have any trouble receiving mine at BBT.
since, att has 30 days return policy, i was maybe thinking about keeping it til i see the "-317.99" on the bank statement.
what do you think guys? should i take the risk?

Account still hasn't been charged

My note was one of the few shipped by USPS, it was processed thursday and finally out for delivery today. However, my account still hasn't been charged for it, anyone else experiencing this? Am I getting a free Note?
Just wait 1-2 weeks for AT&T to clear and so does your bank to process. I was charged the moment I put an order online.
Yeah, I would definitely make sure your account has enough money in it if it's a checking account. I've been screwed over by a gas station before because they withheld charging my account until the end of the month and dropped it on my right before I had my next deposit. Wouldn't want that to happen with a 300 dollar purchase to say the least. haha.

Yes I'm aware but as AT&T said themselves, as soon as the phone has shipped the account should have been charged, my account has done no such thing.
I'm in the same boat as you. It was clearly stated when I preordered the phone(in-store) and in the conformation email that my account would be charged when the phone was shipped. It was shipped on Thursday the 16th and I haven't been charged yet. However, I'm not complaining.
They'll catch up to you in a week or so, they always do.

You have to be a new or an add a line customer.... Upgrades are not eligible :-(

Just to verify. I called and tried as hard as possible and spoke with the manager but they will not honor this price if you got the phone as an upgrade. This ONLY applies to new customers or new lines.
I highly suggest the OP or a MOD updates the title to reflect this info, so that it is not misleading to anyone.

So I take it that you would have had to order online as well. I went into a corporate store 20 days ago picked the skyrocket and then when note was released paid the difference. It would be awesome to actually get 50 dollars back from skyrocket purchase LOL. I am a new customer as well.

If you bought it as a new line or new customer, then you won't need to bother, just call 611 and get the credit. If you were an upgrade then I highly doubt it will work.
AT&T just honore it!!!

Give us more details on what type of representative you spoke with, and was it a manager? Also did you upgrade online or in store?

That is what customer care told me to do since I got mine at a physical corporate store..if anything return and order online. customer care supervisor refused or rather say she cannot credit the difference.

I called the regular wireless 800 number and talk to first rep that answered. I upgraded monday in local store. He really resisted but I told him that I could take it back and just buy it again...Also told him I had been with ATT for long time and didn't really want to switch...He said...hold on one minute. Wouldn't give refund, but did put $150 on my account...Hope it works for you guys...If It does, just hit the thanks button...

Anyone else preorder from Best Buy?
They sent me an email saying I can come in tomorrow, but it seems like only the wireless charger is in stock. No updates on the actual phone.
I received an email as well however mine makes mention of the phone and nothing of the wireless charger lol
The phones and chargers are there, I work for best buy everyone got their stock today worst case they will be unboxing it when you get there.

Does it vary store by store? If you look at the Check Shipping and Availability option, some stores have:
"Pre-Order Now
Pick up 04/10/2015"
and most others just say "Unavailable"
It depends if the stores processed the check in. Some wont have it done until the morning. Once the sku is in the system it auto emails the pre order customers.
Since you work for BB, can you tell me what I should do if my phone has the scratched screen issue? Will they let me have another one right away?

I love how everyone is trying to narrow it down to the minute I know we're all stoked, but come on now guys. Just give the store a call every now and then after they open to find out when it will be available. worst case scenario is you get it 2 hours after they have it available.

Cancelled and went to AT&T store. Complete waste of my time, chance at a free wireless charger did not make it worth it.
My BB didn't even get 1 single Edge in today!?!?! What is that? May just cancel and grab one from AT&T. Kinda amazed myself.

Lol. This is my exact experience. They didn't have my 64GB Edge on ATT so I got my $50 back and walked to ATT. Not only did they have the Edge, they had it in 64 and white. My exact preorder. Super happy. No scratches !!!!

the best buy manager called me in the morning saying they got their shipment late but would arrive 1-3pm. He called again later when the shipment arrived and I made an appointment.
It took a while to actually get the phone once I was in the store because of some computer glitches, but I have mine! and I am happy.
