Software used HTC Sync 3.0.5422
Does not detect the phone.
Detects as My HTC (driver version 2.0.x)
Fix?

It isn't sense. You can't use Sync with it. There are many topics about this same issue. Learn to search...
The reason I posted is due to difficulty in finding this issue to be honest. I searched, but did not find much.
Now that I am aware that it is sense issue... There is no 2.2 sense? I tried FROYO_2.2_v1.8_Android_Stock + Sens 1.8 - still no luck with htc sync...
Any thoughts?
There is no HTC Sense on froyo for the hero.
Why not use Google or Exchange ActiveSync to do your syncing?
So ive gone through my phone and froze most of the stuff that i can tell i dont need. I have a list and i was wondering if some1 had some input about possible side effects of some of these services. i know i can just do trial and error with titanium backup but it may not be so obvious. list is as follows:

htc sync ( will this mess with updating the weather on the clock widget?)

I knew there's a sync tool on HTC(HTC Sync), but really didn't need to use it daily. Are those stability issue or really useless tool that people get rid of it? Any suggestion?
No reply though! It seems no one admires this tool til now, I'm just curious why HTC and Google android can't build up the entire platform like iTunes. Or Google just doesn't wanna follow up what Apple done?

When I had my Evo, HTC Sync kept messing up my contacts birthdays and couldn't handle any variations in recurring appointments. I bought gSync and it is working flawlessly.
The latest version of HTC Sync is working well and without any problem. I am using it to sync my contacts and calendar with my PC. easy ans fast..
Has anyone noticed HTC Sync misses the last part of the information stored in a contact when it is bigger than a certain number of characters?
I know how to handle this in Active Sync, but not in HTC Sync.
Any idea?

I have two HTC phones and two google accounts.
On my HTC ONE I entered both accounts, on my HTC ONE X only one.
Problem
I manage to localize the HTC ONE using devicemanager with the account only used for one phone.
I do not arrive to localize the ONE X with its account used on both phones.
Same settings made on both devices.
Nothing found so far
Who can help?
