[Q]Is it possible to mount in CWM? - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to mount the sdcard using CWM so that I can transfer a rom over without having to go through the boot process?
This is not out of convenience. I am currently stuck in a boot loop and wiping user data/factory reset, wiping cache, wiping dalvik and reformatting altogether do not work. I want to flash straight to stock VS 3588.

Will,
You can mount /sdcard for PCs from CWM, but you have to be able
to user power/volume + to start CWM. There is a mounts menu and the
mount USB option is down at the bottom.

[Q] Ater Odin, No storage

It all started today when I rooted my stock 2.2 and installed Voodoo.
After I installed Voodoo, my phone wouldn't boot. So I Odin'ed a stock ROM.
The Problem is, I have no internal/external storage on the phone at all!
I've tried flashing milliions of times, but no dice. Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT:
There was a time where it showed my internal storage and I used the File manager to go in and erase the Voodoo folder and stuff. But still nothing. And everytime I check the "Re-partition" option in Odin, I get an says that Data wipe failed. I'm really stuck here guys!
EDIT2:
Now it says:
"update media, please wait
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl10
(Invalid argument)
E:copy_dbate_media:Can't mount DBDATA:
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions"
If I selsect "format internal sd-card" I get the same error.

If I'm not mistaken, CWM is the only one with that option. I don't have CWM installed.
AWESOME!
Seems to have worked... I got all my storage space back.
Only problem I have is, low application storage.

[Q] Wipe data error (E:format volume failed on dev/block/mmcblk1p2)

- I follow the instruction in this thread "Repartition media and data partitions on Nook Tablet"
-Then, i boot in CWM recovery, install rom from zip file, this rom
-When it done, i choose Wipe data/factory resest, it show:
Wiping data...
formatting /data...
formatting /cache...
formatting /sd-ext...
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2
formatting /sdcard/ .android_secure...
data wipe complete
-then I reboot system, NT always boot in CWM (with or without SD card)
-cause everything seem normal, but this line: E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2, do I have any chance to fix it?
Thanks all!

I am having the same issue and cannot get my nook to get beyond the CWM screen. The question: Has a solution to this been identified?
Thanks.
When you boot into recovery try wiping data to factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache. Then install the ROM from the SD card afterwards.

P7500 - Cannot format /data

On a fresh AOKP installation (r31) I performed a restart then the tablet freezes during boot animation. Tried to reboot it multiple times - same result. I wanted to wipe everything and restart but I cannot format /data partition in recovery: it will stay on "Formatting /data ..." for 2-3 minutes and then will reboot :-(
Any idea?
I suspect something in the data partition is corrupted, may be the partition table. Is there a chance to re-create the partition table?
Thanks.
Problem solved:
Using Odin I flashed the stock recovery then wipe data/factory reset.
Flashed back CWM 4.0.0.4, performed /data format
Flashed CWM 5.5.0.4 installed rom, rebooted, wipe data, format data, format system, adb push aokp rom, flashed AOKP. I lost my sdcard data but now the system is working.
I think we can close this topic.

[Q] Completely reset i9100

Hello,
i really tried to find answers around before asking.
I have tryed different roms on my i9100, cm7, cm9, rr, miui. Now i have a tonn of folders from apps that are not even installed on my phone. Now what i want is to get rid of all the trash in my phone, like leftovers from apps i installed with previous roms and make a clean install of cyanogenmod 9.1.
How do i do that?
I would really appreciate any help. Tutorials, links, everything you guys can give to help me out.
Thank you

Do this step by step :
1. to format internal and external mmc, connect your phone in mass storage mode and format each drive with windows format tool (right click on drive icon -> format)
2. to format flash memory go to recovery wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalviq cache
3. Install rom

[Q] No ADB from Recovery, hesitant to wipe /data

I currently have CM10.2 on my DNA. I had soft-bricked my phone previously and recovered it using RUU; from there I did the CM10.2 install.
I'd like to wipe my /data partition then push what's necessary to install CM11M8 because of the way it divides up the profiles, but I can't ADB from recovery even after trying the numerous driver fixes that have been mentioned in the forum (naked drivers, etc).
If I wipe /data, there's no OS to boot into and I can no longer ADB to push the files. What are my options?
Wiping data should not wipe out the OS.
You should just be able to put the file on internal storage, wipe and flash cm11.
Not sure I understand the dilemma.

When I do "Format /Data" it wiped the OS. Am I missing something? Or am I only supposed to do "Wipe Data/Factory Reset?"
