From my understanding, with the bootloader unlocked, devs can load their own drivers I.e. multitouch drivers

but how to try?
I'll try to flash it as I have to reinstall my firmware. I will tell you if it worked.
How to install? Through xRecovery?
I think so
, that's sources)
so when I update via PCC is my phone still rooted ?
In x10 threads guys are writing that we can't install it now, cause its only source code, not ROM or sth...
It needs to be compiled...
i said that tooo. IT'S RAW, OR SOURCE!
Do Not Flash It!
(because your phone will be bricked. )
So we won't get 2.2, but MT Support for X8 will be amazing update.
So when we find a way to compile it won´t work ?

It can't be flashed. Don't worry.
Never expected multitouch on the X8, but if this is true then Good Job S.E. Maybe we'll change their heart to give us froyo also.

Wow.....MT on X8,great news everyone ))
x8 has capacitive touch screen (cts) so we don't have multi touch by hardware.

the kernel is working on our phone's coz android is booting without any problems at boot or after boot check the logcat you'll see
but there is no multitouch support in the kernel for mini and mini pro
iv'e just checked the kernel and its only supporting big x10 on kernel level
i think we need to rewrite the drivers and force the kernel to use our driver
but that is a really hard job to do

owain94 : cool , ill wait for it =_= , im a civil eng. person dont know anything about .hex files or c++ coding or what ever .. nothing i can do for now except following some instuctions .. haha lol
maikonbona : i agree with u if its about dual touch with gaming , i play pocket legends without dual touch n feel really sucks , hope someone can port it for minipro , mb owain94 can do ? hehe ,
Mini has no hardware support for MT with this digitizer chip Synaptics T1021A
http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/products/clearpad
Mini pro has much better support - all-point-multitouch with the digitizer chip Cypress CY8CTMA300E
http://www.cypress.com/?docID=26431
hey i looked through the internet and it seems that the mini has the same digitizer chip as microsoft's kin two wich in many sites say it has multitouch input ... i wonder if those drivers can be ported for android
maikonbona : i agree with u if its about dual touch with gaming , i play pocket legends without dual touch n feel really sucks , hope someone can port it for minipro , mb owain94 can do ? hehe ,
At least the mini pro has a physical keyboard, it's impossible to map the keys in some games and emulators.
And the mini who have not, do what? LoL

No. Each firmware is catered for a certain phone.
Unless someone decides to port it to the X10, otherwise no.
hmmm... ok then. thanks all for your kind reply.
Hey i just checked out. Someone from this forum had posted about this fw. You can try out this link which works for x10.

Its exciting but I wont shift coz I am addicted to MIUI. ;-)

No, not yet, but im sure a dev can fix it. I used that feature on my Xperia X8 so its possible, not impossible to port that feature.
im not into all the technical stuff, but is there enough space on the system partition to store 2 roms on it?
how would this work? will the system partition be split up in 2? will rom no2 be stored on the data partition?
i really cant think of a solution for myself how two roms would fit on the rays internal storage?!
sorry if my questions are kinda offtopic, im just curious how this will work?
and what about the kernel, doesnt have both roms to work with the same kernel?

Yeah, but maybe we can store the rom on the sdcard, it was like that on the X8, the rom was stored on the sdcard.
I think its possible, but we need a developer that fixes it
interesting. guess you have to have a fast sdcard then

Ask sirkay coz he is only the kernel developer. I already asked about this, he said is difficult to do i mpossible is nothing we can do anything if we try hard.

Could've put question marks instead of exclamation marks.. I thought someone got Dual Boot working..
I don't think there's enough interest in this for sirkay to do it. His main focus right now should be getting Jelly Bean ultra-stable, imho. Anyway, it would be cool, but I wouldn't use it, too much of a hassle.

Maybe we can ask nAa to make it avaible for Xperia Ray, because I think he made the CWM port for Xperia Ray, and he also made dualboot for Xperia X8 and X10 Mini.
There's a thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508017
about dualboot on Xperia Play.
I believe sirkay has made a previous port for Play kernel to Ray, perhaps he or someone else can port this one to ray? Or incorprate the feature into an existing ray kernel?
Would be awesome to get something like this running
