Arcade Game - Optimus One, P500, V General

Is there anyway that i could play street fighter Iv in our optimus one?
Or are there any game similar to it that is made for an android os?

Uhh, how about MAME?
http://androidandme.com/2009/04/reviews/android-arcade-mame-emulator-for-android-on-g1/

that app is hard to find. no longer on the market, and the .apk I found at 4shared would open on my optimus v, but FC'd every time I tried to run a game. boo. wish it worked.
I read the optimus one isn't too different than the v, so I hope this is useful data.
tiger arcade in the market runs a few mame roms.

Get Gameboid or Gensoid or one of those emulators, you're bound to find arcade games on those consoles.

Thanks for the response..i'll check on your suggestions if i'll have some free time....i think i'll start with psx

I would really like game developers to create cross platform games..I really like to see our android os to play some of those games available to iphone and the like

Mortal Kombat Games for Android/ Defy

Hi,
I used to play those MK games a lot back then. Recently come across a page on which the Mortal Kombat 3 was released for iOS. So is there anyone who can help to find out any MK game ported on android? Further Beyond Fighting looks good, but still it will be really nice if someone can help with MK Series games.
The ones with emulators are not that good I think, except this particular version which looks good.
Anyways, not asking for free links, but just a possibility if such games are playable without emulators, I mean a direct installable apk files?
Thanks
the answer is no but iff you need help with the emulator ill be happy to help you
I want too. *.*

[Q] Emulators for my phone

I'm on Trip's Froyo MIUI ROM, and I want to play some old school games using Emulators. Specifically NES, Genesis, SNES, Gameboy Classic and Color. What are the best emulators for these systems? What are the websites to get these emulators ( I imagine some of them are removed from the Market for obvious reasons ). How stable do they run? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

NDS4Droid -- Any tips to maximize performance on the NC?

I'm a big pokemon fan and it's great to be able to play NDS pokemon games on the NookColor but alas--it's terribly slow. Anyone here also using this app? Does it work well for you? Any settings and tweaks that you've done that made it work a lot better? Thanks so much!
Gameboid
Use Gameboid (GBA) emulator and play all the GBA Pokemon games. Runs great, no hickups so far.
Do a Google query and then find the correct GBA bios for it. Gameboid is sensitive to the naming of the bios file (FYI).
CM Nightly 175, Overclocked to 1.2Ghz. SWEETNESS. Some GBA games like Rainbow 6 do not render properly.

but we want to play pokemon on nds
There is no optimizing it. It just doesn't work, simple as that. The Developer hasn't updated the emulator in like 3-4 months now =\... Sucks I know, been wanting to play more of my NDS games on the nook color.
This would be very cool, but I doubt we see it happen soon. I hope I am wrong on this...

Emulators

Hello guys,
Is there any emulators i can use on my G5 to play some classic games like the old Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Golden Axe etc? If so where can i find them?
Thank you
Pretty sure it works for most android phones
> Market
> Search (Emulators) should show a bunch of systems people have made for our phones.
> Roms, either find Rom Gripper or search the net for roms.
Hope that helps.

Thank you so much!
Searching the name of the game then ROM should work like "Pokemon Emerald ROM" or the console then ROM like "GBA ROMs" that should work well or http://www.romfind.com/ to search for ROMs.

I got a few from slideme.org from a developer named yongzh. Here's his page:

I've tested all of the emulators except for N64oid. They all run very smoothly. It's even better when you use the Wii classic controller or a Sixaxis.
I also tried the two Playstation emulators on the Android Market - FPse and PSX4Droid. Both run slow depending on the game, but FPse is better. The only game I tried was Tombi, which was playable, but is overall slow.

Depends on the device as well.
FPse runs about 50-61 fps on my droid incredible.
Any game and all I have played have caused no slowness.
It's hard to play since I only have a few HW buttons and multi-touch registers only two touchs. A third touch is canceled out.
N64oid runs.. decent... Around 10-20 fps. Depends on the games too, Zelda runs kinda smooth but the sound crackle kills it.
Mario party is merely unplayable and Mario64 is super smooth.

Old Android Games Preservation Help?

Hi Forum,
I found my ancient Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and decided to fire it up. I'd totally forgotten that during the prime of this device I was a little obsessed with acquiring all sorts of obscure ports and games from several niche markets (mostly in Japan) and wouldn't you know it - I still had them on the device and had backups from Titanium Backup still stored on the SD. Sadly, most, if not all of these games do not run on modern Android and I'm hoping maybe some astute folks out there can decompile these things, work some magic, and repack them?
Many of these games include support for the Xperia Play controls which predates the modern usage of gamepads under Android. Alas, if this aspect could be tweaked to run on generic controls, that would up the radness!
Anyway, here's the list of booty I had on the device. I paid for each and every one of these back in the day. Some of them so rare, you might not believe it to be real! All of these have been long since abandoned by the publishers and don't exist on any storefronts anymore.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction HD - Acquired from Gameloft directly as the Play Store didn't sell the version with Xperia Play controls.
Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Acquired from the GGee Market, an obscure Japanese android Market. Game has EXE files?!
Devil May Cry 4 - Acquired from the GGee Market, an obscure Japanese android Market. Game has EXE files?!
Ghost n' Goblins: Gold Knights - Acquired from the Play Store, Android Market at the time, from Japan.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - Acquired from the Play Store. I think a more modern updated one exists on the Play Store anyway.
N.O.V.A 2 HD - Acquired from Gameloft directly as the Play Store didn't sell the version with Xperia Play controls.
Silent Hill: The Escape - Touchscreen game. Pretty sure I got this from Android Market (Play Store) from the Korea storefront.
SimCity Deluxe HD - Purchased this from EA direct. Touchscreen only.
Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD - Acquired from Gameloft directly as the Play Store didn't sell the version with Xperia Play controls.
Starfront Collision - Some shameless StarCraft rip-off I purchased from GameLoft. Touchscreen only.
Worms - Purchased direct from EA as Play Store version didn't have Xperia Play controls.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard HD - Acquired from Gameloft directly as the Play Store didn't sell the version with Xperia Play controls.
Star Battalion HD - Some game I got from GameLoft. Can't recall much about it.
Biohazard 4 / Resident Evil 4 - Acquired from the Android Market (Play Store) Japanese region.
Monster Hunter - Acquired from the Android Market (Play Store) Japanese region.
FIFA 10 and Madden 10 - Acquired direct from EA as their store had the Xperia Play control version.
And finally... probably the coolest one of the lot due to rarity alone (IMHO).
Ridge Racer Accelerated - This is the same game as the PSP / iOS port. I remember acquiring this was like pulling teeth at the time as only Namco's shortlived Banadroid Market in Japan had it. It was never sold on any regional front of the Play Store. The only port that existed on the Japanese Play Store was for a specific device the SH-009 or something... some stereoscopic 3D phone that had a Nintendo DS effect and that port was exclusive to the hardware. This port, however, was Android device generic. I even recall on the Xperia Play forum here on XDA years ago some members didn't think this existed and would attempt to "correct" me that the ONLY version was this SH-009 exclusive and it won't run. How wrong they always were...
The game did have two oddities. First, it would only run on Gingerbread. When I used CyanogenMod back then to jump to ICS and JB the game would boot but at the load screen it would draw some message about wrong android version (in Japanese), so this wasn't an Android OS error but some strange check by the game itself. Second, it would ask for a username and password which was used to quickly check-in with the Banadroid market. Obviously, my legit credentials don't work anymore as that market is long since dead.
Anyways, long winded crap over. Please let me know any thoughts that industrious souls amongst you might have.
PS: I'll have to dig around more but I also recall having Civilization Revolution 1 and a few other games which were acquired from the Korean storefront.
would you upload the backup files? someone can make work on newest devices
