[Q] Market apk for stock - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i am looking for the android market apk for the stock ROM. so far all the ones i have found on XDA force close when opening. Any ideas without switching over to TNT

You can't do this merely by running an .apk file.
I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827209

I have stock running with market app without doing all these steps. All you have to do is flash with the enhancement pack and do the market fix.

I downloaded this:
TnT_Enhancement_3452_vv1.rar
Will this just install enhancement pack on my stock Gtab?
I won't lose installed programs will I?
I am like many wanting to keep my stock and just get market on this.

I don't think you will but I guess you may lose a few - I think I lost and had to install angry birds from viewsonic website. I would suggest back up (I guess there are many threads on how to do back up _ I didn't do mine).
I just posted a howto on how I made it happen in this thread

But the flashable zip from this topic did the trick
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868767
Does this really change the refund window to 15 minutes? Boourns
Nice interface though. I like it.
Does anyone experience the system slowing down extremely much with this update? have wiped data and cache for the third time now after my Legend got reeeaaaally slow. Will try not to update this Market for now, to see if this is it...
Edit: It was not.
Does anyone know how to restore the old market? I keep getting Force Closes.
You can unninstall this update using the application manager.
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
I flashed the ZIP package
By finding a zip file for the old one and flashing it.

[Q] Some apps not showing up on certain roms?

I have noticed that on some roms (Mostly AOSP, as CM 7.1) some of my purchased apps do not show up as downloadable. When I search for them, they're also gone...
Why is this happening? It seems that some apps are locked out from the CM version of the market. How do I fix this? I would really like to use CM 7.1, but what does it matter if I can't install all my favorite apps?
Just installing APK's from file manager is NOT a solution, I want to know how to show them permanently inside the market.
I have seen the same issues, maybe someone could help

That'd be great
Same issues with some apps just not appearing in the market on some roms?
Maybe the ROM/Phone info the Market is getting isn't compatible with the apps you're trying to download. Have you tried if Market Enabler lets you download them?

I thought that Market Enabler lets you choose a different provider. That's not the problem. I can do it on CheckROM, but not on CM 7.1. I will try it out to see if I'm wrong.

Instead of all this, can you tell me where I can get a fast, good performing ROM (It has to be good at 3D) that actually works correctly with the market?

I'm with Hypedroid and its going pretty good atm, but I don't know if I have the same issue as you're having without knowing which apps are the one not showing in market. You can also try to install Chainfire3D driver to improve games.

Thanks for the tip
Simple solution .
Download apps on a rom that works .
Copy apps to a folder on your external sd card .
install your custom rom and then install the apps .

Apparently there is an update to Geniego that allows devices to download content off-site. Has the Android app been changed? If so, will you be able to update your modification?

OOH(out of home) streaming currently is only on pc and iphone, once the android app has been updated you bet il "fix" it also.
Works like a charm
Installed it on my S4 and it worked GREAT. Thanks for doing this. My tablet is not one of the one's listed in on the DirecTV web site as a certified device so I can't even download it. I decided to give this a try and it works great.
Many thanks.
Thanks brother your awesome. Installed on my s3 with wicked sensations rom... works perfectly :good:

Thanks so much for the fix. Can't wait till they get the OOH streaming working, but cheers for at least making the app work on rooted android.
Yeah! Was about ready to ship the GenieGo back and let Directv know what I thought of the root check for their Android app. Works fine on my GS2 running the Jedi Mind Trick (JB2) ROM.
I requested a mod to be added to the modaco toolkit with the xposed framework
http://www.modaco.com/topic/361634-...r-xposed-framework/page__st__280#entry2144113
If Paul can add this to the toolkit, there is no need to modify the APK and we can keep the play store version installed.

It takes me two minutes to remove the root and custom rom check (as well as the other things that they check before allowing end user to use the app)
Sure he could do that, but he would have to update his code everytime the app is updated as well. (Package names change, app dev "attempting" to preform checks other ways therefore changing the code and so forth are many reasons I wouldnt think he would bother)
If you have a precaution about running an app that someone (in this case me) has modified (for any reason ) and you want to use the original application you know u can "hide root" with many third party apps, and its even possible with supersu. This way would allow you to use un altered app.
To recap, I have no problem with any additional solutions to reach the same end result. There are many ways to get the same result.
Cheers

Since my Nexus 10 updated to Android 4.3, this app doesn't run. I get error code AR/1001. Can you fix this also?

4.3 broke a lot of apps...
That said, from a clean reboot ( simply for less cluter) run a logcat and launch app grab the failure and send it to me.
Edit:
After some quick googling thats not an app or os problem but something on "thier" side of things.
Google " error code AR/1001" and you'll find what I found .

Problems with excess apps

I have a problem with excess apps like Google Films/Google music etc. i dont use them and need.
I would like to install pico Gapps and cant. i did brick my phone 2 times today. Would like somone to help me.
You cannot flash Google app packs on Touchwiz ROM (but I'm not 100% sure ) If you want to remove these apps install ES File Explorer or something similar, give it root privileges, find tab with system apps and uninstall ones you don't want.

Manual install of Camera 2.0 apk?

Hi,
My z5c is rooted and running MM (build 32.2.A.5.11). Pretty sure I should be able to install & utilize Camera 2.0, but
(a) It never showed up for me in "what's new" (which I defrosted for the purpose) and
(b) when I try to install by clicking on the apk on the sd card, it launches the install process; but, then it stops and gives a simple (but unhelpful) "X App not installed." message.
Any ideas on how to force a manual install?
Thanks, Kirk
PS I have tried both the 2.0.0 apk which I believe is Android 5.0 and up as well as the 2.0.0-10003 one which purports to be Android 6.0+
Frustrating!
How do you rooted ur z5c e5823 pls i need help steo by step with links plsss

The latest firmware is Nougat .54. Its already include there afaik. Camera 2.0.0 isn't just the apk file, its also the libs and HAL that could have been modified, so just installing the app might not be enough.
Anyway, if the app you want - root and go to /system/app (or priv-app, i think it was priv-app) and replace the old Camera apk with the new one.

Thanks for the help. By what I have read, the app should be compatible with MM, not just nougat; now that the phone is old, maybe I'll try mucking around in the system files...
I actually did quite a bit of research before I posted. And, how can "Q&A, Help, and Troubleshooting" NOT be the place to ask this question? Am I totally missing something? This query seems to be perfectly placed (imho)
