That cooling dock looks... interesting. I didn't think this thing ran that hot.

the bluetooth case looks tempting, until I see ones that look nicer on fleabay for 1/2 the price for ipads.
talk about depressing

Here is a priced breakdown :
White/Black clip case $58
Custom case with BT keyboard $85
Official case $38
Official wall adapter $23
Cooling pad with built in USB hub $40
Screen protector $14
HDMI docking station $48

HDMI cable ..
HDMI cable just showed up $37 shipped

3 ft HDMI cable seems really short.

anybody try the cable out yet? very interested in getting one since a cable is a lot easier to carry around then a dock. plus i'm getting the case with the keyboard so all i will need is a cable. hope they come out with a 6 foot card if it does work

I would like to know the pin out

Grrrr. For $10 more, I can have the dock. I just want the connector, so I can make a super multi-squid cable, so I can build a mount for my car.

this is the same cable on the way to me to test... I'd wait before ordering, mine should be in next week and I'll post findings asap

Extensions and adapters are cheap. Try cablewholesale. I buy from them all the time. I have two 15 footers including a flat one.

Exactly, the whole point is getting that HDMI out of the tab, the rest shouldn't be a problem.

If it works, I will be ordering a dock AND a cable from you.
Can you please take a picture of the connector on the cable? I want to see if they installed all the pins (to break out all the other connections). It would be greatly appreciated.
If both of those work for me, three friends will then be buying a dock and a cable from you, each

Monoprice.com is another great cable resource....

Thought it had to b powered?

$37? For riz? Ok so I'd really like one of these and appreciate that it was created for a niche market, but that severely cuts into my whiskey budget. I could nearly have a bottle of The Glenlivet for that price.

Just wanted to update you guys on this cable. I received it today and could not get it to work... It was actually made for the Malata t8 (not the ZPAD) and it fits fine but I get nuttin... sorry about that

Is there a Cradle yet??

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a cradle yet?
boxwave wants you to pay $50 for one with battery charger...
bit steep...
aah the good old days when pdas came with cradles...
Hi,
I use my old orbit cradle which works fine and only £13.98

It works for my Orbit II (and I think TC too) but the seller delivers this cradle only in Germany.
Some have started appearing on eBay.
I bought one (£3.90 + £5.00 delivery from Hong Kong).
Should arrive this week!
does it charge a spare battery too?
I just got this one.. no problems.. works great!
Cost was about $24 Delivered.

I got the same cradle, but the mini-usb connector is too high on mine -- the Touch Cruise never touches the bottom of the cradle, and instead ends up "floating" on top of the USB plug. Not good...

Is it a GOOD fit for the Orbit 2?
Many cradles seem targeted at the HTC versions and these can differ slightly and make it difficult to slide over the connector. Can you confirm the Orbit 2 fits well into this cradle?
Thanks.
Nope, it's not a good fit for the orbit 2. The o2 will fit in it, but it's resting on the USB jack which isn't good.

Ah, yes I've got one for the Orbit 1 and it's not a great fit.
Boxwave Cradle
I got one off ebay and the USB connector on it was to long. It would not sit all the way down in the cradle. Then I saw this one on Boxwave. Costs a little more but it fits perfectly. Comes with or without a Spare Battery Charger
http://www.boxwave.com/products/desktopcradle/htc-touch-cruise-desktop-cradle_3046.htm
Not exactly a cradle, but...
Just ordered this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOR-HTC-TOUCH...tcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I'll have to use an adapter, but it has a USB output for charging, so no need to take the supplied wall wart.
Just a quick comment.
With the eBay cheapo dock, I have to connect two USB cables for it to sync properly. I guess the dock itself is drawing quite a bit of current. Probably by its super bright tacky blue LED...
May be a problem for people who haven't got a lot of USB ports.
Is anyone using this desktop cradle from Clove Technology?
http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct....category=3F64F95C-E53B-499D-8CDA-DAFC84465AF0
I'm wondering is it a proper fit for the touch cruise.
By the way does anyone know why HTC removed accessories from their website?
Edit:Sorry, HTC did not remove accessories from their website but they don't have a desktop cradle
Good prices.

Asus has a whole host of accessories on tap for the hot Transformer tablet/netbook. The keyboard dock was just the beginning. There’s a desktop dock, HDMI-VGA adapter, a very iPad-ish looking folio case, and an adapter to plug in a USB flash drive. Asus has yet to make these official so no word on pricing or availability. They appeared on Asus’ Italian Facebook page about four hours ago. The only thing missing now are the actual Transformers. They’re sold out everywhere and backordered out to nearly irrelevance. Well, there’s always the Xoom. There are plenty of those available along with their entire range of accessories.

Well the keyboard is missing too...
I was lucky enough to get a tablet, but still have no idea when the thing will actually be a "Transformer".
Interesting to see what's in store for us. Thanks for linking.
Hopefully these take off more than the viewsonic g-tablet official accessories that never came to fruition.
really nice to see these accessories for those who don't buy the keyboard. especially the dock and case. Actually bought the sleeve case myself considering god knows when i'll get the keyboard.
I like the USB adapter!!
I kind of wish they would sell extra data/charging cables

I would like another power cord. This this appears to be proprietary and if it gets lost, there's no charging the damn thing. I don't care if it's only 2 foot long, I'd like another cable.
Looks like Asus is gonna make a bundle off me. Hope there will be accessories from 3rd party soon.
Hmm!
One of each I think! Except maybe not the SD card reader.
But given that the price of the simplest one is quite high I guess theyre going to be a bit pricey!

I agree, this has been way over-looked, If I damage or loose my existing cable I'm stuffed, don't want to be in that situation.
Hopefully some 3rd party will start pumping them out on eBay or the likes soon.

So when you dock the tablet, you don't need to fiddle wit find the mini hdmi cable just to get a full desktop replacement.
I'm actually very excited to get the SD adapter (wish this was on the tablet instead of the miniSD). I'd like to do some quick photo editing right after shooting.
i wonder if the USB port will work with game controllers and other USB stuff like 3.1 will allow.
Im interested in the USB dongle.
Would this mean that we can have external storage like a HD preloaded with media?
If so, it would be perfect for road trips to load movies on a drive and have the munchkins entertained..
On that note: anything out there that allows the tablet to hang/attach to the headrest on a car seat?

Mains Charger & USB cable in stock - ASUS UK

Asus uk shop has the charger and USB cable in stock now for £24.99 with a free delivery offer. Ordered one this afternoon and already got the confirmation that its been shipped. Not bad when you consider it includes the very rare USB cable.
The link is //shop.asus.co.uk/shop/gb/en-GB/Home/3-Accessories/11-Batteries--Powers/88-Adapters/90-XB2VOKPW00010Y-ASUS-Eee-Pad-Transformer-TF101-Adapter-%28with-EURO--UK-Plugs%29.aspx
EDIT: Looks like free delivery was only for a few days, now adds £6 but if the total order is over £30 you would get free super saver delivery, hope that helps.
Just ordered one of these, as I snapped the topmost prong off the plug during some hasty unplugging - ages ago and have'nt since taken the plug out the wall. Thanks for the nudge!

Do they ship outside UK/EU.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Possibly-useful information for anyone considering ordering one: I ordered a charger for £24.99 inc free delivery from ASUS UK on Friday August 12th; it arrived today, 17th - so that's about three working days.
The charger they've sent is an 0B-3LF (or OB-3LF), as opposed to the 2LF which came with my device originally. The new charger has some superficial labelling differences but appears from the outside to be identical. Some subjective testing suggests it does not get as hot as the original but I can't be certain about that.
They also included, unbidden, a free micro-fibre cleaning cloth thing which is quite cute (has a sticky side for attaching it to the device for storage). To my mind that brings the total value of what I received to about £10-worth, not £24.99 - but what are you going to do?!
How long is the cable?
Cable length
+1 on the length
Hope its longer than the original.

£24.99 ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101 Adapter (with EURO & UK Plugs)
£6.00 Ship by UPS (buy over £30 merchandise it is free shipping)
(£5.17 Tax Included)
--------
£30.99 Total for one (1), or
£49.98 Total for two (2) with free shipping.
If I buy over £30 merchandise it is free shipping, but is there some coupon or other deal for cheaper?
Did I miss something?

UPDATE:
Thanks @maxh2005 I corrected my calculation above, you are correct the tax is included.
I guess it is worth buying two or something else to get free shipping.

Seems they had an offer on free shipping when I placed my order, because they charged me £24.99 in total. But I just tried shop.asus.co.uk and at the moment it's quoting £24.99 plus £6 shipping, making a total of £30.99 of which £5.17 is VAT.

Just done exactly the same myself.
Just the plastic top lug, so now when i plug it in i have to use a pencil to open up the top hole in the socket before pushing the adapter in.
Not paying 30 quid for a new one unless i have to.
If Asus would only sell just the clip on uk bit, I mean they are selling the kit with other country adapters included.
Suppose if i do buy a new one though then I could fit the euro bit onto the old one so i would then have 2 chargers, the euro one could then be used with a euro to uk travel adapter.

Anker EVO 3D cradle

Anker also make cradles? find one on ebay, anyone ever tryed this?
oops, no permit to post outside links, see my attachments.
yeah, somebody know where to buy?
Picked one of these up for $14 on Amazon when I purchased 2 Anker 1900mah sensation batteries for my 3D. Works great, can't use a case with this though.
Bonus for me is that it can charge another battery while your phone is docked. I will note I have found using the original HTC cable and HTC usb wall adapter with this works the best. I purchased a 10' cable for my phone, and using that with the Anker cradle didn't really do anything, but the original cable and adapter that come with the phone works flawlessly.

Please do - I'm now very curious since the price has dropped to a reasonable level.
I'm specifically interested in whether dock mode is automatically enabled, and what apps can be run from that configuration.
Also - I doubt it, but I'm curious if an MHL adapter can be connected to the dock to enable HDMI out.

I run MIUI so the dock program isn't installed, however I just tap the clock and it brings it to the picture you can see above. I believe if you're on a Sense ROM it will fire up dock mode. I actually had it plugged into my car, and started up Car Panel which was pretty gangster.
Overall, it's definitely nice to have while I'm at work during the week, but having to pop a case on and off all the time can be a hassle for some.
Otherwise it works great!

This is USB only I'm afraid. Since this is similar to Kidigi dock, Kidigi makes an MHL version of their dock but will run you about $49. You can find them on ebay. Hopefully Anker will rebrand one too for cheaper.

I was afraid having a case will interfere with this. What type case do you have by the way? I was kinda hoping atleast a TPU case would work with this dock.

I go back and forth between a Platinum case, these cheap snap on cases from eBay, and some Argyle patterned gel sleeve I got at Radioshack, and none of them work. This dock was meant for a caseless phone. I can't remember what dock I was looking at but there is one that has a removable tray that you can take out to accommodate a phone with a case.

Thank you for the input. I guess I'll just pass on this for now.
Kidigi makes a dock that can be used with some cases.
Just received my 2 Anker docks and they are great for the price. Each kit includes a dock, a wall charger, and 2 USB connectors (one long for power, one not quite as long for computer connection).
Construction is solid and phone fits well. The extra battery charging slot is a little tight, but I'd take that over loose.
Phone does not auto-recognize that it's in a dock, but I didn't expect it to.
All in all, I think well worth the price (~$45 for both and free shipping).

Any Docks Tested for the LGOG?

Hello Guys!
I just bought my LGOG and I'm waiting for it in the mail. While it arrives, I've been looking for a dock that supports the phone but haven't found anything yet.
Have you guys know of any Dock that works and fits this phone? I was thinking of getting one of these but I'm not sure it will fit since it's for the S3:

What do you guys think?
yeah I`m about ready to order a desktop dock for a note or note 2 and try it out, I just want it for my night stand, like this one its suppose to have a compliant mico usb so it will flex and move with different thickness of phones still on the fence about it

or one like this

Yeah i only need a dock for charging the phone on my night stand, so i guess a cheap one would do the trick. If no one has tried one yet I guess I'll have to buy one myself to try it out.

here`s a dock I just bought from Amazon, the EZO dock it has adjustable front to back usb connector has soft pad for the back and front, looks like it would work with no problem if you had TPU case on your phone, but I use a neoprene slip pouch for my phone so I don`t have case that stays on the phone. pics are below

Probably be easier to get the coil from the Palm Pre (and cheaper to get parts). But I don't think it charges via the qi standard and you would have to use the TouchStone Charger.

Has anyone tried the S3 Dock? I don't think the dimensions are too large for the Optimus G.
i have this one universal dock. it works very nicely. the dock isn't confined to a single device so we wouldn't have to worry out phones being too big.

Does that universal dock work with a tpu case?

it should work, cause i have this case and it fits fine because the usb portion of the dock does protrude out a bit.
