Flash player? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android General

Is there a working flash player apk?
Taid has flash working in one of his builds.
How did he do it and is there a way for me to get it working on fx06

tiad8 was full of it, as usual. He never got flash working, ever.
Besides, native Android devices don't run flash that well...
However, I hear you can use flash thru *some* aftermarket browsers like Skyfire.
Either way, flash is going to be a painful horrible experience on our phones. Enjoy!

Did you ever actually see it working?
And more importantly - working RELIABLY?
He made many claims to have things working, that were either outright falsehoods, or things that were "working" but crashed/FCed a lot.
For example, I did try his updated Market APK. It WAS fast - but it was good for only 1-2 downloads before it just started FCing all the time.
And unfortunately, the answer to "how did he do it" is always one of "we have no clue because he never told anyone". Really the only way to describe how those builds were created was "throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks".

Doesn't work on mine, and neither does TV Shows Stream, which used to work before I rooted and flashed RoyalGinger. I'd like to know if anyone has gotten it to work with RoyalGinger...
Going to need to fix flash now. I did not know about this site or app thanks for posting. The app looks to work just fine but the silly flash bug we are all dealing with right now is a pain. Aka sound but no picture.
Yeah, that's exactly what I have as well, sound but no picture on both apps. So this flash bug is resident to certain ROMs or to a rooted phone in general? Couldn't be to the device, as flash worked ok for me before I rooted and flashed RoyalGinger 2.1.
Works on virtuous unity

I have not had time to look into it but it looks to be with certain ROMs with new versions of the flash player.
Works fine on mine.
CM7 + faux123's latest version of the 2.6.35.13 kernel. I also have the modified version of Flash that allows me to watch Hulu on my browser.
Where do you get this modified version of Flash? I just installed 10.3.185.25 from the market and it still doesn't work.

Dude LG itself apologized for printing it wrong on the box.btw i bought optimus one abt 2 months back, and i didnt find anything written on my box abt flash. And in the video too,no flash content played.
Flash on Optimus 01 is like the Loch-ness or the big foot or the UFO!
i also can found the flash player on market
but can't install,say package file ... and other else,forgot ~
It doesn't work on optimus one because it has armv6 processor and flash player require armv7 or arm v8.

Doesn't work on mine either. After picking apart the package, in my opinion, it looks like the files in the lib folder of it are arm7 only. So probably a fluke of some sort. However I hear we might be getting one that works on arm6 processors. So the fluke might be related to this.
Edit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1147092
Seems to work. Although not very well for me. The videos play fine, good sound acceptable frame rate but the picture is very bad. Looks like a messed up old CRT television. I suspect Stage fright as the reason.
Titanium Ice v2, my own. Customised from stock LGP509TN Franco Kernal
here it's a version that worked: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152345. I tried, it has many bugs (doesn't work with large videos ...) but it's a start.

How To Install Google Now on ICS - HP Touchpad

Google has released Jelly Bean source code, and CM10 development is underway, but while we are waiting, we can install Google Now, the new search tool from Jelly Bean onto our Ice Cream Sandwich Android device.
You will need to download the Velvet.apk file from here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j85otexnkoktfiv/Velvet.apk
As usual, you can discuss this and ask questions at the REVTV Website Forum:
http://www.reverendkyle.com
Thanks for the video, I've had this working for a few days and had the same results you did with the network error message at first and voice not working. My workaround for voice is to use the new voice recognition that is built into the latest Swype betas since my TP microphone is working now.
Swype beta?

Its supported now, just download the beta installer from their website and install, no modifications needed anymore.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224 <- you should try this. no build.prop changes or anything crazy required. i havent tried it on my touchpad yet but i would assume it works cause its on my phone.
As new versions become available, I think this will get easier and better to use.
I can't wait until the voice works.
Rev, you're on CM9, right? I thought the microphone was still not working on the touchpad? I haven't actually turned my touchpad on since February, so admittedly I'm behind the times, but I haven't seen any rom saying the mic was working.
Official nightlies mic function is working...
The current official nightlies all have a working microphone and pretty stable wifi... The camera is the one that is not working yet... Hope that happens anytime now...
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Yes, the mic is working fairly well in the most recent nightly builds.
As far as the camera goes.... that might still be a while.
Thanks, looks like today is bring your touchpad to work day for me, I'll update it finally.
I'll just wait for the packaged deal.......glad cm10 is underway and can't wait.
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda app-developers app
I installed the latest version of Google Now with the Voice Search feature active, and I must say, it doesn't work great on the Touchpad. Its very slow, the screen flashes, you can't use the search button within the app, and the external voice connection app requires you to press enter in the Google Now app to run a search.
I'll wait for CM10.
AWESOME!!! Thanks a lot
Epic 4g got gNow working flawlessly. I wonder if the same fix could work for the jb alpha alpha pre-alpha rom that we'll soon be nomming on...
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
Out of curiosity, why is this so hard to get it working on ICS ROMs? On every phone I've seen, they've been able to port over most of the Jellybean stuff to ICS without issues, but Google Now just will not port over nicely. Seems like it's just an app to me and would require less work than others, but I know nothing about developing.

That's the issue, it isn't JUST an app. It's actually a series of apps that work together along with the framework and some other fun stuff. Not as easy as throwing an APK on your device.

You have an early version of the port that was missing some supporting files. The port was updated several times to get everything working. You'll get a ton of FC message as you use it, but everything works with the latest version: http://www.mediafire.com/?qrji31tlyll9ccn
(Don't report the FC issues to to Google Play. It's not even supposed to be on this device and the port works perfectly fine without FC's on other devices. Besides, you'd be putting in a TON of reports ).
Can I just flash the updated file over what I have our do I need to delete the one I already flashed first?

I flashed it and have it working on top of sense camera and gallery. It works, you get a ton of errors with the JB camera so it is nice to have a "working" camera and a "show off" camera.

Just flash the update. It will write mostly the same files and then add some supporting files to get it working. Again, there will be MANY FC's...some even when just using the Play Store. They do kinda get annoying. Just a heads up...
Just tried it. sweet!

Flash Player

I am running the JB 12/24/12 ota. The flash player was removed. I know it is no longer supported. Is there any way to get the flash player back?

Go to this site: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Find the Flash player applicable to your version of Android, and click on it. The player apk file will download. Pull down the notification bar, select the downloaded file, and it will install. Viola.

It is an apk. A regular user app. You download and install it.
Going back is simply uninstalling the app.
There's no going back to retake those lost few minutes of your life if it doesn't work, but that's all you could possibly lose.

I'm talking about how flash works on JB. I'm still running ICS where flash works great. If I update to JB and flash doesn't work properly there is no returning ICS, which would mean no more properly working flash. That is why I'm asking for opinions of flash functionality on JB.
