I just upgraded to Gingerbread from Froyo. My phone was rooted on Froyo. I am attempting to root my phone using GingerBreak-v1.20.apk downloaded from the site. I followed the instructions. The rooting process seems to freeze up. I let it run for 30 minutes and finally rebooted my phone. The phone IS NOT rooted. None of my root applications work. I have several applications that need rooting. Can anyone help me? I have an LG G2x running Android 2.3.3. Thanks.
mmm try to install clockworkmod and after install cyanogen with the zip .
or if u want only root u could try root by paul ... search on modaco.com

This is my first time to root any phone. I have rooted it.
Installed superuser
Used freegee for the bootloader.
Have titanium backup.
Attempted to use cwm rom manager.
Now to be honest i dont know what half of these things do or have done to my phone. I attempted to follow a tutorial i found here. But i found it to lack enough information for me to really understand what to do.
I wpuld like to install a custom rom and get rid of bloatware. I cant find anything that actually tells me where to get a rom. How to actually flash it. And how to remove bloatware.
I even paid for the premium rom manager by cwm but i didnt understand what to do or where to get roms.
Im pretty fustrated at this point. Can someone explain to me with good detail what i need to do or how i do this?

Hi, i just bought this tablet and i want to root, realy i want to reroot, i root using esay root, install supersu and test it with quickboot, to this point everything perfect. Then i tried to install ota buy it won't download soi use pc compion and i update, but i loose root, and now i'm no realy sure where to go. I will install a recovery if i must but for the next week while i'm testing i prefered to not. So anyne know hot may i reroot my device? thanks.

I guess we must downgrade, root, flash recovery and then flash a pre-rooted ftf

Okay so I found a root procedure yes king root latest version they don't have a official root procedure but it worked for me on the second try

So did you ever find out if the PC or apk was used. Was there any issues, how did it work. Also has anyone figured out a hotspot mod for this device. I have it on the boost unlimited plan. I really need the hotspot.
Kingroot non PC version will work on any device but you ever uninstall king root will not reroot that device

So I can just install the kingroot apk and it should root my device. I am kinda new to this. Will it also install SuperSU or will I need to find a way to flash it, if I need it at all. Also. Does anybody know about how to get free hotspot. I read that changing the apk to end in dun will work. Anybody know for sure.
Yes second try but if you ever uninstall you will be looking for a new way king root will not work a second time nomatter how you try but its safe will not brick device and will cover as antivirus phone protection oh if use antivirus get rid myself f it before you try kingroot or your phone will glitch king root is read as threat because it has no limitations on what it can do BTW I use the y538 model

King root didn't work for me I've tried all and PC version, but very new to android and rooting. When I run the app it gets about halfway then stops and wont. Is there anything else I should've done as well, sorry but can't find anything, anywhere else about rooting this phone and version

Use KingRoot APK, does it easily.
I dont like the app myself so im going to remove it with lucky patcher soon. Once king root is installed into the system i cant get him out for fear of loosing root. I just installed SuperSu fromChaindd but now I can not update the binary, Im going to clone superuser from my other phone so hes updated and then may he will stay updated when I install to system app with lucky patcher.
Oh, and by the way, Your bootloader is locked so you wont be able to change the rom. SuperSu couldnt even install himself into the system like he has on every other phone. Dont even try to install a recovery at this point because your phone may never boot again!
Someone is going to have to dump a backup and figure out how to fool the checks into thinking its a real OTA update on the way back in.

today i tried to root my s4 i9500.used odin.i installed the custom recovery.then installed supersu using it.in root check it says that the root wasn't installed properly.i tried installing another version of supersu.didn't work.but now the phone isn't booting.it's stuck at the second samsung logo.i don't really know how it got there.not an expert by any means.just if someone had something like this before.or know what it means
