Maybe call voicemail, and with the call still going boot Android?
Most apps seem to work with sound (Google Voice Search works flawlessly for example), I've never had any desire to use tikl tho.

Are you able to make calls?
I have very poor quality when the proximity sensor turns off the screen. Only when on hands-free or speaker I can hear and be heard.
Yes you can make call.
BUT
On my wildfire ( with the last openfire ROM) the sound is very laggy on WIFI or on 3G.
( people hear me correctly but I heard "laggy" , with the test echo call, everything i hear is laggy)
Does anyone has perfect sound ?

I have no quality problems (and no lag) as far as the screen does not turn off (with the proximity sensor)
I use cyanogenmod 6.1 RC2 and I have overlocked to 710MHz. I can make decent calls on 3G of WiFi but only using a headset or loudspeaker (so the screen stays on)
Market version works on cm6, wildpuzzle, stock 2.1 (1.37 debrand), just didn't work on my Vodafone branded firmware.

my market version works fine on my generic Telenor 2.1 eclair.Probabbly there is a problem with modified roms

[Q] no sound on back speaker after email notifications

Hi, I'm having a very annoying issue with default email client in Froyo. Whenever I receive a notification from it -be it a sound or vibrate only- the first time it plays on back speaker but after that all sounds (music, videos or any notification) are redirected to internal speaker (the one used to listen when in calls) and back speaker remains in silence.
The only way to fix it I've found is to make a call. After that sounds are played correctly again until another email arrives.
Anyone knows a way to permanently fix this issue?? I couldn't find any reference to this by searching forum or google and I don't want to have to use another email client, I've tried Touchdown but it's painfully slow.
PS: right now I'm using CM6 TripN 1.5, but this was also happening with WB5.5. I haven't tried any other GB or Froyo ROM.
Thanks in advance.
Just curious, why are you using earlier versions of roms?
The newest versions won't do that

It's the latest CM6 Froyo from Trip and I find it more stable than WB one. Also hate all those MIUI Iphone clone roms, and most CM7 have some annoying bugs. I use camera a lot so I prefer a rom whre the camera's fully working.
All old versions do that?? Like it's Google fault?
hello? anyone??
are you using Soundhound or Shazam??? if you do, that's your problem, uninstall them and reboot, your problem will be gone...

Skype video working on mt4g (I have a link)

Meant for Samsung phones but I think our ffc is made by Samsung. I got it working on a recent cm7 nightly. Its the first download link.

Link fixed. Sorry, posted from the android app so it's hard to tell when stuff works from there.
It crashed the first time I used it but now it works fine. Thank you so much!
kool thanxx.
This works fine with Mytouch4g Virtual Fusion Sense 3.0 Gingerbread
tried on royal ginger... videochat is not working
Video chat works without a hitch on CM 7.1 RC. If you're having bad quality issues try switching to low video resolution.

Second that. Videochat not working on RG 2.1. Just a bunch of colored blocks on the screen.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I would expect a lot of the newer ROMS (Including updates to current ones) will add this as a feature.
Also, a few gripes about this.
1. It only does landscape. Is it supposed to be able to do portrait?
2. Our ffc is slanted so it has to be in a slightly awkward position.
MIUI 1.6.24 not working just comes up with blocks on the screen and no streaming of the blocks.
side note: this rom ver. has a issue with the front camera is upside down
but Cm7 nightly works
I installed in MIUI V.1.7.1 and it seems to be working.

Yep, latest Skype version from the market (2.1.0.46) works fine (CM7.1 and also stock Froyo) with both back/front cameras (on landscape mode only).

[Q] Total Recall working on Vibrant???

Does any one have Total Recall working on their Vibrant. Its not working on mine. I can record the calls..but when I play them..I hear a loud sound and nothing else.
If anyone of you has any other app working on vibrant for recording both incoming and outgoing calls...please share your experience as well.
Thanks.
I am able to record calls using tapeatalk. I've only been able to do this on a 2.2.1 ROM though. Vibrace and Bi-Winning both worked with tapeatalk. Hope that helps
hmmm...im currently running team whiskey's bionix 1.3.1 on 2.2.
I guess I may have to flash another rom which I really dont wanna do.
I read somewhere that recording calls only works on some vibrants and not others. Have no idea y. I tried total recall on my phone and nothing but on a friends from work it works fine so who knows

[Q] Liquid ICS JMOD Google Voice dialer

First of all I believe this ROM is the bomb; finally have ICS on my TB. The only problem I am having is getting the Google Voice dialer to work with my bluetooth earpiece Plantronics M1100. When I double tap the earpiece the GV dialer pops up, I hear a double beeb and then nothing.
Anyone else having this problem and have you had it resolved. Thanks guys.
There seems to be Bluetooth problems with this Rom. I've read that formatting in EXT3 resolves this issue? I'm not positive though.

I attempted reformatting with EXT3 and still have the same problem.
Thanks for the advice; it was worth the try

The Bluetooth issue isn't a result of the file system, it's the kernel. In other words, we will have to wait for liquid to release a more stable version of his kernel. I use my Bluetooth a lot as well, and as a result I have to deal with the same issues. I've had issues where no audio streams through the Bluetooth headset, but when I toggle from Bluetooth headset to speaker and back to Bluetooth, I miraculously get audio.
P.S. the radio's won't fix that either.
Thanks for the update. I just hope Liquid can get it going quickly.
This is a slick ass ROM and would really like to continue using it.

Voice Dialer Problem with ICS....a work around
While I could get Bluetooth audio to work on several Thunderbolt ICS Roms, I could not get the voice dialer via the bluetooth headset to work. I tried using several apps to resolve this issue and finally found one! Try using the app called "Voice Control Full" and it works perfectly! The app is $1.99 for the full version and there is even a trial version I believe called "Voice Control Trial". This works way better than the stock Android dialer - much more accurate! Good luck!
I attempted the use the Voice Control Full app; it would not wake the phone up via Bluetooth.
