[Q] Need help/Suggestion!!! - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi I bought a Lg P500 a month back,details are:
Android Version:2.2.1
Kernel Version:2.6.32.9
Build Number:FRG83
Software Version:V10c DEC-08-2010.
When i checked through Lg update notification it said a new version 10d is avaialble.
Q1)What is the difference between v10 c and v10 d ??
Q2)suppose if i upgraded my phone to 10d,if i didnt like the update can i revert back to old version??
I am using APP2SD and moved all apps to mem card.
As my phone has 40 pre-apps which stored in internal memory ,My phone has hardly 19-20 mb free internal memory..So it is very difficult to manage .
Q3)Can anybody please suggest how to remove Preinstalled apps which i dont want??
I am afraid to install custom roms mentioned in the other posts as the phone is only 1 month old .
Q3)Does Warranty still exists if i do any custom rom like cynogen or unofficial ginger bread update etc?
Please suggest some tips to improve Performance of my Phone .
Many Many Advance thanks for replying ..
Thanks

[Q] Software Version

Hi
I recently got my LG P500 which is my first Android phone.
I have to say it's really awesome! Though it took me a whole friggin day to get the custom restore set up, it was well worth it
I am currently running the Void Mod and the new Kernel by mik_os. Both work great!
Now there is only the software version. I have the 10a version and I heard that the 10c (I have it already on my PC) would solve the +001 bug.
My question is: If I update do I have to completely wipe my phone?
Cheers!
don't install the V10C update. it solves 1 bug but brings home many.
you should wipe your mobile. anyway everything will get deleted. so wipe as a precaution so nothing.
PS: also depends which country rom you talking about. cause different rom solves different problems & offers new ones.
I am talking about the european 10c
So just to clarify: When I install the 10c (or 10a for that matter) I will always delete my custom rom, kernel, loose root and will have to do it all again from scratch?
Is it expected that Gingerbread will come with a new software version or is that a LG problem?
V10C cannot be rooted. So don't install/upgrade to this version.
How come it cannot be rooted? I thought impossible is nothing?
So lets rephrase my question to 10a...
When I install the 10a I will always delete my custom rom, kernel, loose root and will have to do it all again from scratch?
Thx

[Q] Custom roms support for an android device??

Hi everyone i am new here and I would like to ask a question. Does custom roms, rooting, developing tricks etc. that work on a certain phone will work on another phone with same hardware...In other words are custom roms work on phones with same hardwares. For eg. Mmx a110 and a89 have the same processor,so will custom roms for a110 work for a89..If not why??
Unfortunately no, even if the 2 devices have the same hardware, the software might be installed to a different part of the flash memory.
If you flash a ROM for a different device you will brick your phone, and you might not be able to fix the damage.
how can ai install a new rom on my droid razr
Hello everyone! i own a razr XT910 gsm version, wich is 6 month old. Everything was great until last week when i decide to upgade to ICS. After upgrade my phone is much worst than before. The batery is lasting now just 6 hours no matter if phone is on or off. The second big problem is that i cannot conect to radio internet anymore, just by wifi. I was thinking to reinstall the GingerBread again coz it was working perfect. Anyone knows how i can reinstal back GB or another ROM sistem that is working good? Do i need to preinstal a special aplication for that or not?
Any answer and guide will be welcomed.

[Q] 2gb app storage on KitKat ROM ?!?

Hi, I recently 'reset' my s2 to pass on to my sister. I flashed the cyanfox 2.0.2 (KitKat) ROM I had been using previously without issue, but she is now being restricted with the 2gb app partition I remember from the Gingerbread days. I can't understand why, does anybody know why this is/can offer a fix ?
Many thanks.

Its normal its there in every s2 in every rom
Thanks for that. I suspected that was the case but was told that newer versions of Android had removed that restriction. I obviously didn't have enough apps latterly for it to be an issue. Apps 2 SD card it is then !
Repartition and joice afterwards, no matter what Android ver. or rom you want to mount: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...es/mod-partition-internal-memory-app-t2538947
ps: it's completely on you, like it was on me for doing so. Now I'm a happy bunny with my internal memory partition of 4Gb's, therefore I would advise to use 4GB Pit from there... Plenty of room there.

[Q] Info about increasing RAM with SD card SWAP on GT-i9300 using CM11 ROM

Hello dear Samsung Galaxy GT-i9300 users.
I want to know if there is anybody out here who has done this operation.
Increasing the phone's RAM with SWAP virtual RAM by using SD card partition etc.
I'm not sure if I am clear enough but I think most of you guys will get the idea.
I've been doing some research this couple of days and I found a few methods but unfortunately I didn't came across one that is fully compatible with my specific GT-i9300 model and custom Cyanogenmod 11 ROM.
In this method that I tried recently I head to install MemoryInfo-SWAPcheck app to check if my memory is SWAP compatible. It says that "unfortunately my device kernel is not compatible with SWAP".
Like I said, I want to know if there is some one out there whom like myself had the same phone model (GT-i9300) and custom rom (CM11) and performed this operation.
Or if there is somebody out there who performed this operation on a GT-i9300 using STOCK ROM (Android Jelly Bean 4.3). If I would go back to my custom ROM I would only go knowing for sure that it works.
If so I would appreciate If you could give your methond
Hope my thread isn't that demanding and I will find someone who can give me some tips or advices.
Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to read this thread an potentially help!
Have a gread day everyone!
UPDATE: Flashed STOC ROM, worked!

Hello There, would you be so kind enough to tell that which version of twrp recovery you used? And did you used mfastboot or minimal adb and fastboot to flash it?, (it's ok your English is good )
Twrp is 2.7.2.0_v2.2 . I used minimal software on PC to do this
Any answers ????
Hello, u can follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142844 to partition link2sd,advantage and how to of link2sd you can found it in App description in playstore, that guide says partition to ext2 but you make it to ex4 (that guide is old that's why), CM12.1 is tooo good on Gaming performance, stock ROM is not utilizing full power of Hardware, stock ROM even cant play 1080p videos, only bug there's in CM and cm based ROMs is Call delay, i hope that get fixes soon. And for kernel, use Clarity Kernel for. Best performance on gaming
Tnh fof your help . tyy
