[Q] wipe battery stats in Recovery + E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exis - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having an issue in Recovery, It won't let me wipe battery stats and I get into recovery I go advanced --> wipe battery stats --> yes.
Nothing happens, no indication that the stats have been deleted or wiped. If i try to delete delvick then i get E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exists)
are the two related?

Can't clear dalvik cache

Trying to clear dalvik cache per instructions for installing ROMs but I get the following error:
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exists)
Does everyone else also get this error, or do I not have something setup correctly? I believe that's the sd-ext partition..

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 US - Stock ROM

I used zaclimon's Stock ROM and pit file for the SGP 4.0 US 8GB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531850 and cannot load into the Android system. I can access the "Downloading" mode and recovery. I tried flashing Steves kernel. I wiped data, cache partition, and Dalvik cache and the device still isnt able to load the Android system. Are there any other stock ROMs I can try?
I just tried Kwipper's Stock ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1512331 and i get these errors in stock Recovery:

I think it's just the bootloader file. I have found many others have had this problem. Any help?

I wiped data, and cache partition, it removes the errors but it keeps loading into recovery.
I think it's the .pit file because after I flashed it that was when it started to load into recovery. I have no idea what to do now. Everything I try does nothing. It continues to load into recovery.

I tried this and ended up just like you. After messing with this for a week I finally got it to work. I had to use heimdall. I used ver 1.32 make sure you follow the instruction about installing drivers or it will not work. Odin woul dnot work for me. Follow the instructions in Zaclimon post. Where I got confused was in the partions. I was doing them one at a time as it said but what is meant is list them in the order in heimdall so it does it in that order and moves to the next one. When done it will reboot into your stock ROM. Let me know if you have any questions

[Q] CMW v5.5.0.4 Can't mount anything or even factory reset for neken n6

I'm trying to install the rom miui in my neken n6
First I rooted the phone successfully, after I installed "rua1 autoCWM v5.5.0.4 for neken n6".
The problem is when I restart in recovery mode I get some errors in the beginning:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
If I try to wipe data/factory reset i get:
"
E:format_volume: make_ext4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p7
Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume: make_ext4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p6
Formatting /sd-ext...

Formatting /sdcard/.android_secure...
error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe complete.

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log

"
If I go to "mounts and storage" anything that I try to mount also gives error.
I restart the phone and nothing changed, all the data is still there.
Any help would be very very appreciated
Thanks

I9300 - Unable to find partition size for /boot ?

Hi all,
I'm very new here and I hope you all can help me unbutton my phone.
So I have a Samsung S3 I9300, with CM 13.0 installed, I'm using CW recovery v2.7.0.0
I have installed many custom ROMs for this device over the last few years without any problem, each time formatting and cleaning the Dalvik cache etc.
Today my phone restarted randomly and a message came that my phone failed to encrypt and cleared all my data and that I had to restart on recovery to perform a factory reset.
A bit random I thought .. So I rebooted in recovery and did a "reset to default" in CW .. this was successful, however I noticed some problems on the terminal screen ...
Code:
E: Can not find partition size for / boot
E: can not find partition size for / recovery
E: Primary block device / dev / block / mmcblk0p12 to the mount point is not present!
E: Internal storage can not be mounted
E: Unable to mount / data / media during GUI initialization
E: can not mount / cache
SELinux full support is present
E: can not mount / cache
E: can not mount / cache
E: Can not mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps when trying to read the settings file
E: Can not mount / data
Updating partition details ...
E: can not mount / efs
E: Can not mount / data
E: Can not mount / data
E: can not mount / cache
E: Unable to mount / system
E: Can not mount / data
E: Can not mount / pre-load
E: Internal storage can not be mounted
I tried to format but it fails.
I can not install another ROM because both the internal memory and the SD card show 0MB.
I plugged the SD card into my computer and there are still files on the card.
I had a look online and found that typing a command in the terminal should fix it, however, nothing happens ..
I get an error that mmcblk0p12 does not exist.
Code:
mke2fs / dev / block / mmcblk0p12
