JavaOne & Oracle Develop conference 20011 in Hyderabad - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

MySQL Developer Essentials with PHP, Java and .NET in JavaOne & Oracle Develop Conference 2011 to be held in Hyderabad in the month of May………….
The presentation will provide an overview of the resources available to MySQL developers in the three most popular programming languages. Including the core supported drivers and advanced features, as well as how the MySQL connectors can be used with MySQL Enterprise Monitor and Query Analyzer to help developers trace the source of a problematic query. You'll also see code examples for PHP, Java, and .NET and a live demo during the session.

I have once attended ADF Methodology conference. One comment I would like to make from having been involved in paper selection, there weren't as many papers from non-Oracle people on ADF or JDeveloper as we would have hoped. I would urge any of you who are using ADF to attend such conference. You can learn about "the big picture of why you chose ADF" or you might want to focus on a topic close to your area of work or just "my experiences with JDeveloper".
Its valuable for the community to know of real world experiences, good
and bad. So go for it and share your ideas post the conference.

Looking for a project

Hi, my name is Ali.
I'm a mobile and web developer.
I have 7+ years of experience programming. I specialize particularly in mobile applications and Java based coding.
Beyond that, I have also spent a great deal of time working on C/C++ projects as well as C#.
Additionally, I am well versed with web based languages and have worked extensively with SQL databases, as well as CSS, HTML, PHP, as well as Java Script and its derivatives.
My strategy of software development process is iterative, model-driven, risk-driven and customer-oriented to meet the requirements of quality assurance engineering.
I've got a lot of experiences of development about Mobile & Website :
1.Mobile Programming
Application : Android, Iphone/Ipad
Web: HTML5, Jquery mobile
Language:Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C
2. Web Programming
Language: PHP, VB.NET, C#, ASP.net

My first app is live - what do you think?

I've been learning Android development recently and finally released my first free app.
It's open source and available on Github too. It's made with C# in Xamarin (not forms though, which meansit uses Android's native APIs).
I chose to start with a TOTP generator because
It's a non trivial use case yet not too complex
It allows to meaningfully integrate image acquisition and protocol handling
I already had a UWP version I could reuse the corre logic from
The Google OTP generator uses a web service to scan QR codes, as far as I can tell
I'd be interested in asking for feedback: does the app's UI feel right? What areas can I improve?

It was nice to see that you have your first software released. Congradulations... And thanks for sharing. As I saw you developed your software with Xamarin which is a cross platform framework. It would be great if you can share your experience here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/frameworks/native-vs-cross-platform-t3850250 with other people.
I like to hear more stories about crossplatform and also native coding experiences.
I'm going to give your software a try.
I'm not a fan of material design UI, however your app looks nice. Congratulations for creating your first app.
Congratulations. You made the right choice when decided to create tool. Wish you high ratings and many downloads! I downloaded it on my phone.

What are the pros and cons of php and asp?

What are the pros and cons of plain PHP or Classic ASP?
PHP and Classic ASP are server-side scripting languages. What is wrong with having a website written in this instead of the trendy JavaScript Frameworks like React, Angular etc.? If memory serves me correctly, there is an issue with security where you can post in a text box some script and hack into a system.
Can we please discuss some pitfalls or drawbacks to having a website written entirely in PHP or ASP? What does a JavaScript framework or Node.js bring to the table that would otherwise be lacking?
I am just now venturing into a contract where I am tasked with updating and maintaining existing code. All I know right now is that it is written in PHP and Classic ASP. I am in the process of investigating these scripting languages and I want to know what the opinion of other developers are.

MyGNUHealth - Android developer needed!

Hey guys & girls,
GNU Health is an official GNU program with the intention, to deliver healthcare with Free Software (health.gnu.org or gnuhealth.org).
The project has recently released a Personal Health Record application called MyGNUHealth. MyGNUHealth allows you to record your medical data, as well as nutrition, physical activites and mental state. It comes without any 3rd party trackers and keeps the user in ownership of his data.
It is written in Python with Qt-bindings and was developed on the PinePhone. It runs as well on Desktops that support Qt (like KDE).
With this post I would like to ask interested developers to port the application to Android, as nobody of the current team has Android knowledge.
In case of questions reply to this thread or send me a PM.
Cheers
COOGOR
