im trying to see if I should wait for the Galaxy S2, GX2, or htc Sensation too.
Sensation and Galaxy S2 both have more Ram the the LG, but the LG is out now...
All 3 use are different duel core processor.
I definitely dont think you should go for the mytouch 4 with the LG out now and others on the way.
trying to decide which of the 3 duel core phones to go for myself.
if you are looking for a phone now, its the LG hands down. If you are willing to wait, then you are in the same boat as me. not sure between the LG, HTC, or Sammy

Ya, the htc is supposed to be out in June or July. But my son's mytouch slide is having issues. So I'm considering upgrading and giving him my phone.

Switch from the vibrant I'm on the g2x nd lovin it by far the fastest phone I have ever owned. I've owned a lot I'm a phone whore... I'm still going to get the galaxy s 2 when it comes out phones are like pokemon gotta catch em all

If you can wait ............wait for the S2 the hardware is something to wait for. Over the next 10-15 months all the phones will go through a huge change. All the new phones hardware will have the capacity to run windows 7 (not that they will) but think about it ....the phone I have now has the same power as my windows 2000 computer 7 years ago............ amazing time.........

The vibrant has too much going for it to pay for an upgrade now. Especially in my mind the uncertainty of the AT&T takeover, or as i call it, when we all get screwed.
The g2x is amazing. I want one. But I also know my phone is dang good and only better phones are going to roll out... More GHz and more dual cores.
The next phone with a perfect 4"screen, 1.3+ GHz dual core on a good/cheap network may change my opinion... In the future.

S2 for sure. There is nothing to discuss, and nothing to think about. That is just the way to do it. Period.
S2 has a answered my prayers. I have been waiting for a freakin 4.3 SAMOLED phone to come out. Sammy only had the 4" galaxy S - Vibrant last year with talks of "dual core."
I'm glad that they didn't rush it either- because that would have been a huge liability waiting to happen.
Instead, they listened to our gripes.
1. 32gb memory- on bigger model
2. FFC - badass
3. FLASH!!!!
4. 8mp camera
5. 4.3" Capacitive Touch
6. Super Amoled!!!!!!!!
7. Gorilla glass?
8. External SD support up to 32gb
9. 4g !!!!!
10. GingerBread official.
11. Mod edit: to much info mate...keep it to yourself.
Seriously, it blows anything out of the water that is out there and will be out there in the near future.
Plus, Tmobile is getting is.
I'm going to buy 10 of these just in case zombies attack, then I'll just sit back and relax.
Anyway, /shameless Plug.
you get the picture.
GL with your decision.

A better way to go about this is, do you plan on rooting your new phone and installing custom ROMs? If you you do intend to do that, then i think Samsung has proven they could careless about you or the dev community so long as you buy there product.
We all know HTC shares there source code and there is a herd of diehard HTC fans who will mod the crap out of the Sensation.
I just picked up the G2x yesterday after i seen that LG has already released source code for not only the OS but kernel source code as well, and with cyanogen himself doing the CM7 port to the G2x, it will and should be community supported greatly as well
A thing that sold me on the G2x is that it supports AT&T 3G bands, so if its still my main phone if the merger goes down, it'll be a fully compatible device and i wont need to buy a new one to take advantage of AT&Ts extended coverage
So in the end it really just boils down to:
How long can you wait?
Do you intend to mod your phone?

Galaxy S2 hands down.
It will have a lot of ROMS for it since it has an unlocked Bootloader just like the Vibrant. The HTC Sensation does NOT. It also has lots of memory internal, and a 4.3 Super Amoled PLUS. Everything else you can compare to the HTC Sensation of G2X as all 3 have relatively similar "rest of the phone".

I'm on a g2x lets hope that the galaxy 2 does not have the normal sammy problems like on the vibrant I have a bitter taste for them now

I just got the G2x.
I'll miss the awesome SAMOLED, but #NeverAgain

as you can see from the second post in this thread, I too am trying to decide between gx2, gs2, sensation...
i see tons of people saying the samsung gs2 will be the best thing ever. So yes, Sammy does have awesome hardware (look at our vibrants). But, will it be cheap plastic? and who cares how great the hardware is if the Software sucks balls? (like our vibrants). Yes, our developers are awesome, but they are having to run circles around Sammy's terrible software writing...
I am not saying this is the case with the gs2, as im thinking about it too, just wondering these things...?

Thank you guys so much for your responses. It was exactly what I was looking for, different opinions. I needed to get a phone because two of the phones on my plan were injured. My son chose the "sidekick" not a bad phone, but I tried to talk him out of it. But whatever, it was cheaper.(good for me). I chose the G2x. And I gotta say, WOW! And for those wondering, the screen is just as good. Colors even seem a bit deeper. Quadrants (whatever) but 2200 out the box. The 4g is way better than my 3g. You tube on HD without a stutter. Couldnt pull that off before.
1080 vid recording (I was told) not tested yet.
Fast fast fast processor.
FFC (untested yet)
8mp camera with flash.
Feels much more solid and better made than Vibrant.
Stock against stock. Hands down its better. Guess I will have to wait on dev community for customization results. Maybe I will try to figure out how and root it tonight to remove some bloat.
I will miss my Vibrant (but my sis in law will be happy).
Oh! And I heard today the merge with ATT may not happen. Yay!

[Q] Is the Samsung Vibrant worth buying?

Hello guys,
I am comparing the Vibrant, G2, MT4G and N1, even considering the HD2.
Is there still a good reason to consider the Vibrant? Seeing as how Samsung is really dropping the ball / support. Any other advice / support is appreciated.
Note: This will be my first Android phone, I will be coming from an iPhone 3GS.
I'd get Nexus S or even better, wait for Vibrant 4g.
Vibrant running a rom is a great phone. Stock not so much. I would probably just wait for the new 4g galaxy in a month or two and grab that.
Stock, the phone isn't very good. It's slow. It's laggy. The battery life is pretty poor. I'd rate a stock Vibrant (Eclair) 6 out of 10.
Rooted and flashed with a good ROM, it's quite good. I'd say it's 8 out of 10. There are a number of flaws... such as the GPS being wonky, the phone not having any notification LEDs and the haptic feedback being very weak compared to comparable devices.
Regardless of software issues, the hardware is good, even if the build quality is low. The S-AMOLED display is gorgeous (if a bit oversaturated). The audio quality (for media playback, not call quality) is the best I've heard on a phone.
I wouldn't buy it on contract, though. I bought my Vibrant second-hand for about $300, and I consider it a great deal, even now after all the Samsung software shenanigans.
It depends on what you are wanting (FFC, other features...)... where you live (4g?)... and how the phone feels.... do you want the stock feel (N1) or the features touch wiz brings.
Personally, the Vibrant is perfect for ME. Obviously there is going to be someone who prefers another phone on your list (good group).. I have the Nexus also.
Say what you will, but TouchWiz has a LOT of features i would miss.
I will say this, for hardware, not bricking, the BEST screen, and great developers the Vibrant wins.
The Vibrant 4G seems to be launching in Feb, but will probably be out of my price range...

I live in LA, so 4G should be available...
I'm still new to Android... TouchWiz, a quick google shows it is the Samsung's splash screen / desktop. And a "rom" seems to be a custom firmware, is this correct?
Androids seem so much more complicated than an iPhone.
Anyone know the spects on the vibrant 4g?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Android is open source. Because of this, manufacturers can take it and "make it their own"
Touchwiz is amazing and absolutely my preferred "skin" *though I prefer stock android, ala Nexus one*
Look in my signature, read those stickies... should answer a lot of questions AND show what the Vibrant can do.
Regardless what phone you choose, I bet you end up (1) rooting it and (2) flashing a custom rom.
The Vibrant is incredibly hard to brick... will benefit from the Nexus S and Vibrant 4G (source code released) and has great developers.. plus it is just sexy. Your call.
Unless you absolutely need fast updates (Nexus S), and need a phone now, yeah, get the vibrant. Great hardware, very slick, great devs, but maybe a few trolls in the community. Great phone none the less.
Dont let the whine threads fool you this phone is fantastic.
You need to ask yourself a few questions when looking at what phone you want.
How important is a forward facing camera?
What screen size would you prefer?
How does the phone feel to you?
Whats the storage like?
The vibrant has a great cpu and gpu. a beautiful screen and 16 gig internal storage with an sdcard slot that supports a 32gb micro sd card.
Its mad light which can throw you off but you get use to it. You can probably get a great deal if 4g isnt all that important. I got mine for about 315 here in los angeles.
Ive seen them for a lot lower on cl also.
The phone might be decent but the company behind it ruins it.

Yes, it just depends on how much you are paying for it.
With the Vibrant 4G ready to drop next month, I wouldn't pay more than $200-300 for a plain Vibrant.
I'm actually waiting till then to buy one for my wife.
Short answer: no.
Long answer: there are way better phones than the vibrant coming out soon. Samsung also blows, and for those of you telling him yes... what happened to #neveragain?

This is what I might do, since I'm willing to spend $200 for the Vibrant... Or maybe I'll go for the G2 at $350ish.
I like the G2 since it's "future proof" with 4G and has a qwerty keyboard. It also has much better name to back it and has a stronger community behind it.
I would wait. I love my Vibrant, but the GPS is still spotty and there's no guarantee you'll get one that works. Dual core phones (as well as the Vibrant 4G) are right around the corner and right now the Nexus S is a better choice. I'm guessing the Vibrant 4G will be $200 on contract when it comes out.

Buying one of the phones you listed above right now would be foolish. I only say that because we are litterly on the cusp of new Dual core phones to hit the market soon.
As a Vibrant owner, I would say stay away, even from the Vibrant 4G. If you must upgrade now, I would get the Nexus S, even though it doesn't have hspa+ (4G).
It just depends, if your a hacker, get an hd2, as you can put many roms on it, Gingerbread, Froyo, Windows phone 7, but it's not as sexy as the Vibrant's display, and maybe not as fast, I think everything else is pretty ugly lol. I would get a Vibrant 4g though, if you really want a Galaxy S model.
I'm trading my Vibrant for a hd2, and $200, that's probably the only reason I'm bragging about it.

Nexus S or wait for GS II?

Damn, GSII Is coming may first, I love the NS but man GSII is a beast, I have the money right now for NS but Im sure GSII will be a LOT.
What do YOU think?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Hang on..
Nexus S is just another version of the original galaxy
Absolutely, its miles ahead as far as the advancements are concerned.
1Ghz vs 1.2Ghz Dual Core Cortex A9's on the S II
512MB Ram vs 1GB Ram on the S II
4 in SAMOLED vs 4.3 in SAMOLED +
patience, my friend...
Galaxy S 2 is worth waiting for.
I wouldnt mind waiting if I had the money, but I feel like I need to stop switching phones so much, I may go with NS for a year or 2, It has all I need after after all, I dont root or rom so in all honesty I think all that 1gb ram, dual core stuff I wont need, all I do is play music web browse, use phone and use some apps, thats it...I dont see the need to wait and spend even more for things that I dont need, I really need to stop getting phone after phone because some new specs come out, NS has all I need, hopefully it will be like that for a couple years until I really need a new phone rather then want, I know the techies want the latest and greatest but to the average user, they dont care as long as it has the things you need rather then ram, processer etc, I need to start thinking like that rather then drooling over every new phone, its a waste of money.
Just my opinion, hopefully NS can last me.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I also am not prone to change phones often. My current phone is an HTC Touch Dual I've had for like 4 years.BUT I like to buy the best when I do; which right now happens to be the Galaxy SII. That's why I've preordered already.
In that case, it is better to somewhat future proof your investment by buying the current technology and utilizing it to the fullest.
SGSII will be better for you in the long run.
Samsung Galaxy S2, no doubt about it, lol.
Yea but how much lol? I can get the NS for $560, whats the GSII gonna be? $700?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
We can't tell you for sure until it's announced in each region, but it's definitely worth the wait to find out. You're talking about buying a last gen phone vs a cutting edge phone basically. Do you want to spend $500 and have an already outdated phone, or maybe roughly the same, maybe a little more for a top of the line phone? The Nexus S is a great phone for sure, but this is a fast paced industry and with the dual core CPUs and the new SAMOLED+ screen, I think it's worth the wait and maybe a little more money.
Its a no brainer for me.
SII of course.
Perhaps waiting for a few weeks will give you some clear cut details on the launch and costing.
SGS II without a doubt. The Nexus S is a great phone, but doesn't hold a candle to the SGS II.

That is where the phone being not boot-locked and XDA developers come in...and personaly for me this will be the deciding factor as I know how slow both my carrier (A$&$) and Samsung about releasing software updates.rolleyes:
Samsung have been improving with frequence of updates however...at least for some phones...
Nexus S is a cool phone but I could never understand why they castrated some parts off of it.
Updates are nice, yes, but since the phone comes with 2.3, it probably won't be a big deal to me. The wait from 2.1 to 2.2 was horrible because Flash is such a huge addition, but have they said what the killer feature will be past Gingerbread? I doubt it'll be as huge as Flash was.
Went ahead and got the NS, glad I did, I will be happy with it as it is the full google experience, great looking phone, SAmoled, I mean it has everything I need, Im sure the SAmoled+ will be cool but thats the main thing I would want, back when I had the captivate only things I wanted was that ATT would not block apps, a camera flash, and a FFC, now I have it all! What more do I need, perhaps in 1 1/2-2 years I get the Dual Core stuff, but for now Im sure the NS will be perfect for me and my needs.
You have my sincere condolences.

[Q] Atrix 4g Vs Samsung Galaxy SII Vs LG Optimus 2x ???

i was willing to buy the Atrix 4g for its dualcore beast and right now we hav 3 of that kind. Can anybody suggest the best one out of the Three???
SGS 2. 'nuff said.
thread closed.
for $800 it better wipe your a$$.
-i have heard disappointing reviews on the camera, wifi, touchwiz, build quality, samsung updates(though motorola is bad with bell users).
-i wouldnt buy an LG as they have no solid track record and too many complaints to list
-atrix has its fair share of problems primarily the bootloader and camera isnt the greatest.
Anyone else kinda disappointed by this new generation of dual cores as a whole?
Nope i love my sg2 much more than my atrix!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
if i could atleast have it in my hand and it was $150 or more less I would definitely consider it.
Having both devices, what are the benefits of sgs2? Be as unbiased as possible please.
where did u buy the S2?
People harp on about the SG2 being all plasticy, but compared to the atrix it feels much more solid. the case shell on the atrix creaks whenever i hold it, whether that be age 'wear and tear' or what not.
i find the camera to be much better than the atrix
the screen is much better on the SG2 but thats personal choice
i do miss quirky features such as the fingerprint reader and webtop but thats about it. Everything else the SG2 does the same if not better. Even in stock form, no mods comparing the two it becomes much greater. as gingerblur fixed alot of problems (motoblur!)
saying that, the Atrix is still the 2nd best device i had!
my 2 cents

Sorry. but f**k the Galaxy S II! The Galaxy S I9000 was soooooooo much better. From what ive heard, the Optimus 2X has really good build quality. But yeah they have a terrible track record, usually they make products with crappy quality. The Atrix is sweet but the locked bootloader and the fact that we have to wait for Motorola for updates; that drags it down.

2) LG Optimus 2X

LOL @ the guy who said the phone creaks in his hand. that is such utter LIES.
In any case, Samsung has a pretty horrible track record with the i9000 quality. Just look up i9000m internal SD on google and have fun sorting through that mess.. A phone that just auto nukes its internal SD whenever it wants.
As for the Atrix it has IMO an amazing screen (which you can use at full brightness) at little penatly on the giant battery.
If you wanna save battery and use juice defender the max I have gotten out of it before dying is 56 hours.... on a single charge.
So yeah.
Thanks for all the suggestion guys.. The Quadrant benchmarks of samsung galaxy sII ended up being something like around 3500 which is the heighest till date...atrix is around 2700 i guess...any comments on this fact??
Things aren't perfect with the SG2 there's the:
1. Heat dissipation issues were people are already returning their phones just for that alone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1068663
2. WiFi Issues
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1067473
3. (Much More Than Normal) "Dead Pixel" Screens
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065935
4. Lack of Notification LED - (most knew about this already)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058596
I'm not going to say which phone is better since they All 3 phones have their issues, but it's also interesting to watch people dropping $750-$1000 already thinking the SG2 will be the perfect device. (yes there's no perfect device blah blah blah...)
Anywhoo... For the record, I'm not totally trilled with the Atrix at this moment either. I've also thought about switching to the SG2 already myself, but IMO it's too high of a price tag to give it a chance right now.
The bottom line, there really isn't really a clear cut winner...
hmm i have an atrix 4g, simunlocked from att, i had issues with wifi in my country, now that i managed to fix it and am running gingerblur, im very happy with the phone, however the case really is squeaking (back when i was in the US i had another atrix4g which i went to replace cuz the fingerprint scanner locked up occasionally, that one had perfect build quality, this one just squeaks at the top, and she cover shell is somehow too big for it...) and the locked bootloader is really annoying me, the screen is very good in my opinion. If i would be buying one of the phones now i would go with the LG i think (my main reasons: tegra2, unlocked bootloader, proper support), as to the sgs2 its too big in my opinion (seriously hwo needs a 4.3" phone, even the 4" are too big kind of - id prefer a 3.8"/3.7" like the original htc desire, but noone makes high end phones with that screen size..). Cant say much more about the sgs2, as that it doesnt have tegra2 which i prefer over other dualcore ARM based chips right now. Atrix has way better hardware specs than the LG tho: more ram, more flash, better battery, webtop, fingerprint scanner - love that one lol, the only worser spec is the camera on the atrix. so go figure For stock use the Atrix would be the best ithink

I will likely be making the switch for the larger screen. I will miss the LED Notifications and the Finger Print Scanner.
Of course this all assumes ATT prices it competitively. (doubtful)
I would buy a unlocked one but the center button is terrible the 4 android buttons are better. I have read the battery life is terrible on s2

Hold out for a Nexus Prime... supposedly coming in October. Pure Google experience! Just hope that the latest rumors that it is supposed to be exclusive to Verizon prove false... hard to believe Google would do this, alienating all current Nexus owners & devs.
i have had the samsung galaxy s2 for about two weeks, and although it has an amazing screen and its the fastest device i have ever use - it's battery is awful.
I switched back to the atrix for now.
for people waiting for the nexus prime, keep in mind it will almost be as big as the dell streak.. huuuuuuge. like a tablet phone lol. i cant wait to see what it is like though, i will most likely be waiting for it since i dont even use my phone for calls xD

you switched back just because of the battery life?.. personally i HATE samsungs phones, but the nexus S was a nice looking device, never used it but yeah. sgs2 looks nice as well, idk if id trade though.
I've been waiting for the SGS2 but I will probably add it as a second line and use it as my daily driver and then turn my Atrix into more of a PMP and Hotspot.
I'm also looking to see if they do end up releasing a SGS2 variant with the keyboard that's been leaked:

The Atrix is perfect for me because of WebTop. I use it for work when I go to client's businesses, a lot more efficient that carrying a laptop. When (if?) the prime comes to AT&T, I'll use that for personal use, and switch SIMs for when I need the Atrix.

Geez. How many times do I gotta tell people a buttonless 4.5" inch screen will be about as big as the atrix overall. Unless it has half inch bezels.
I voided my warranty and your mum.

What do baboon balls look like when they are infected? LOl ewwwww
I thought about the same thing OP. Realistically the top phones out right now are the iPhone 4, Atrix, Galaxy S2, and Optimus 2x. And...the next wave of super phones that are coming out will be around October. This will include a bunch of devices that Samsung and Motorola, among others will release to compete with the iPhone 5.
My advice is keep your Atrix and make the switch once the next big transition to dual core phones happens because you'll be wasting money and it's pointless to switch for such little improvement.

ill stay with my atrix, im patiently awaiting cm7 to come out of beta and have everything work cm7 hauls ass compared to any rom right now for atrix becuase its 100% blur free
Not worth it imo. You get a bigger screen with less res, worse battery, slightly better processor (but seriously Tegra2 is more than good enough esp overclocked), superthin if thats your cup of tea.
As others have said, wait till the next generation comes out Q4. Atrix to SGS2 is incremental at best. As I hate the SGS2 form factor and really love qHD resolution of atrix, it would be going backwards IMO. The only thing about the atrix that lets me down is the little bugs with VOIP/SIP stack and bluetooth as well (e.g. if you're using BT headphones for music, notification sounds keep coming out of phone not BT).
Now if you're not game to root and flash custom ROM then the balance tilts a fair bit, stock SW wise the SGS2 is noticeably faster than the stock atrix IMO.
^ only reason this is true is because sgs2 is stock clocked at 1.2ghz, but has terrible battery life. I am oc'd at 1.3ghz with better than stock atrix battery life

Overclocked and better than stock battery life??? How does that work?

Photon vs. SIII

Now that the Samsung SIII has been officially announced for Sprint, how many of you are taking the leap? Any new features you can't wait to use? Anything you are concerned about that's stopping you from taking the leap?
Staying put. I want the Note!

I'll stay with the Photon for awhile.
Back in the WinMo days, a new phone would have more memory, etc - something to differentiate it.
Android phones, IMO, have reached the point of commoditization - I'm not seeing compelling features that make me want to upgrade. All current phones have good screen res, battery usage, memory, etc. The Photon is about as large a phone as I'd want.
I'll wait and see what, if any complaints there are re: the radios.

I need a worldphone, and Sprint's version of the s3 wont have those capabilities (based on what I have read).
all teh sprint phones are gunna have teh dual core s4 chips, the evo lte and sgs3 have big 720p screens. they all will have internal storage and high res cameras....
really it boils down to which manufacturer you want, locked bootloader vs unlocked, sense vs blur vs touchwiz vs lg
I'm sticking with the Photon until the next Nexus. I've been thinking of the Galaxy Nexus, but the PowerVR 540 is just too antiquated at this point.

I don't have an upgrade for another year. I see myself having a windows phone 8 device along with a windows 8 tablet, and of course my windows rig which will probably remain windows 7. As much as I enjoy android, for some reason I just don't see myself sticking with it.

What do you like so much about Windows Phone 8?
Bigger than 4.3" is a deal breaker for me.

It's not necessarily that im in love with the platform more than it is that it's the only one i havnt delved into extensively. I was a Winmo fan back in the day, then i fell in love with webOS, and the Mopho is my first Android. So the only one i havnt experienced to the fullest is windows phone.
Most notably, i enjoy the idea of every one of my devices being seamlessly in sync with one another. Plus, it just seems like android is so damn fragmented. The way it's put together feels almost, sloppy, to me. I can't really explain it. Did i mention wp is downright gorgeous?

Since the SIII is almost as large as the Note, what has you want that device specifically?
S pen + folio case
Also hopefully sprint is working on a GS3 version (S4 cpu + 2gb ram) which would be great but if its the OG note on sprint it should be cheaper by now.

i agree, all the phones are pretty much the same. big clear screens, 8mp cameras, same storage, same RAM, all 1Ghz + dual cpus... Honestly the specs have me bored. The only thing that raised my eyebrows is the extra 100mAh in the battery. for me, all i need is a phone that can connect to the web, answer and make clear phone calls and have battery to last me the day (add more days and ill be even happier)
But with this all said, im headed off to the store to upgrade my mother from the original EVO 4G to the EVO LTE (i figure it will be an easy change for her since its still HTC Sence) Her biggest concern is knowing where the camera and video recorder is to capture grandkids.
Me personally, im sitting on my photon for a few reasons. 1.i paid the full 650+ for the photon so im going to use it till it dies. 2.my upgrade is a ways out 3.World phone is a must for me now. 4.i got ICS on the photon (thanks devs)
Edit: just picked up the EVO LTE for my mother, very impressive. great feel to the phone. made a phone call and great audio. im sure anyone who buys the phone will not be upset, BUT its CDMA only. after playing with it for the day, i must say its VERY impressive. Im tempted to buy one for use in the US and then keep my photon for travels. im curious to see what LTE sprint will give. store said to expect towers to come online towards the end of this month (houston tx). ill be watching her phone and seeing how the battery does. It makes my photon feel like a brick and a tiny brick! that screen is MONSTER when next to the photon.
I'm probably going to pick up a galaxy nexus sometime this year. I'm not worried about having the latest or greatest.

I'm planning to replace my photon when:
1. LTE will come here and MoPho won't support it.
2. There will be some really good replacement for MoPho, but I really don't see any good now. I don't know why it's so hard to make good device like MoPho is.
I would like if Motorola will come with new device like our Photon. If they will create second upgraded photon, I would be happy.
For me & wife (EVO 3D and Photon) 4G has rarely been reliable while moving - even in large markets (Chicago, LA, San Fran, Houston...). I guess we'll have to see if LTE is better.
But, in my case, very high speed on my cell phone is getting increasingly irrelevant - don't need high speed while in car moving. And when stationary, normally have free WiFi available and use my tablet. YMMV, of course, that's just my usage pattern.
