[Q] Youtube freeze? - G Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running Vegan 5.1.1 Froyo and after roughly 15 mins of playing videos it freezes up then reboots with the "popping" sound.
Another issue i've encountered yet could not replicate was that when playing the standard android music player it spazzes out sound wise then restarts to the start of the song but the time on the song is still where it left off.

[Q] HELP!! Issue with Video playback

Hi. I have some serious issue with my vibrant which is just 3~4 months old
Recently, my vibrant had problem playing video files. When I play a certain
video, it stops playing within 1 minute, pause, and I have to manually press "play"
again in order to start a video again. The problem is, same thing happens
after I press the play button, within 1 minute, video stops, pause, and I have to
do the same thing over and over. This happens when I play a video with stock
video player. Let's say If I play a movie with "soul movie," then the different problem
persists, where this time the video turns into black screen and then continue on
playing for about another less than a minute again. Although I do not have to press the play
button in the "soul movie", the video doesn't last 1 min before it turns into black
screen and resume again.
I haven't had this problem at all until recent days, I tried everything I could,
rebooting, re-inserting micro sd. It can't be codec problem cuz I used to play
this video flawlessly before. Now, I hope I don't have to "factory reset" the
phone. I'm very reluctant to do it. (Also, I don't know how to...)
Can anyone please help me with these issues. I'll really appreciate it
Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
try an alternate video player like doubletwist and see if the problem still persists.I know I don't use the stock music our video players for anything, they're kinda bad.

thanks for reply. I tried doubletwist and same thing happens as when i play movie with soul movie.
So, it's like
STOCK MOVIE PLAYER-----> PLAY, STOP PLAYING, AND NEED TO RESUME MANUALLY
SOUL MOVIE, DOUBLE TWIST-----> PLAY, BLACK SCREEN, AND AUTO PLAY AGAIN
THIS ALL OCCURS WITHIN 1 MIN OF PLAYING ANY MOVIE

[Q] Movies doing some sort of bookmarking

So I have a strange one... I was watching a movie yesterday and tried to pause it but my hand moved across the screen and I turned something on... now when I watch something, it plays for 10 seconds, than restarts (just once), until I stop it and start it up again... it goes for 10 seconds and restarts the movie.
It does this with every movie player app I try (mobo, mx, etc) so it's as if it's a system setting (since all the movie apps are picking it up).
I'm running Gingerbread 2.3.6 (CriskeloRom v.38 to be exact)...
Already tried clearing the media settings (in the various media players) but this did not help. Anyone have any thoughts what I turned on and how to turn it off????

[Q] YouTube problem, last two seconds buffering

I have this weird problem that nearly every YouTube video plays fine until it reaches the last two or three seconds, it then starts buffering for more than a minute, then it resumes and plays the last two seconds.
The weird thing is that it stops EXACTLY at -2 seconds, no matter the size of the video or the resolution. YouTube alternatives from the play store work just fine.
Anyone experienced the same thing?
My tablet is the Wifi only version, kitkat 4.4.4, not rooted (only unlocked bootloader). I did a factory reset and the problem was still there. Twice.
Thanks.

VIdeo/ audio playback pauses for no reason

Hi xda!
I have a weird question that i haven't been able to find the answer for so I thought I'd ask here. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, SM-925V, android version 5.0.2, rooted with stock rom. I have had this phone for at least 2 months and this problem just started happening:
My phone randomly pauses video and audio for no reason. For example I was watching Netflix last night in bed with nothing touching the screen. The phone's just sitting there and pauses playback. This is not a streaming issue,
This is what I've figured out so far:
1) I didn't touch the edges to accidently pause playback. The phone was just sitting there with nothing around its edges. Also, since it pauses audio playback while the screen is off, it can't be that
2) It's not a streaming issue, since it also has the same effect with locally stored videos and audio, like MX Player, and it also pauses audio playback on Mort Audio Book Player and Play Music when the screen is off.
3) The only apps I recently installed were Reddit and Imgur apps, can't see how they'd cause a conflict. I have also not updated my phone after which it would have started causing these errors.
Does anyone have any ideas?

You could perform a bug report and a log cat. Both of those could give you clues as to what could be going on. Just make sure you don't share the bug report.

Periodic stutter on a T95 Mini - how to debug?

A few months ago, I purchased a cheap "Turewell T95 Mini" (or so went the label on the device). So far it seems to have some decent performance on my 720p TV, even for some light 3D gaming. However, I've noticed that when I use it for media. In Spotify, the playback stutters periodically every minute or two, freezing for a few seconds like a scratched CD then continuing playback. In YouTube, the playback can stop randomly after a few minutes, requiring the video to be reloaded to continue. I'm not sure what is causing those freezes, and to be absolutely sure I deleted unneeded apps to prevent background applications from causing the stutter, with no results. One last thing, the device fails to run a few apps such as the PS Remote Play. Do you have any ideas of what I can do to fix the stuttering at least?
