This one i know what i'm talking about....
call recording depends on local and state laws. Some states/countries it is against the law to record phone conversions. While it other only one of the two party members must be made aware of the recording and very very few allow one to record a phone call with out either member knowing.
I would first HIGHLY suggest looking into your local laws regarding this prior to doing it. You could get in some trouble over it.
I know Google Voice will allow you to record incoming calls, but not out going calls. Other than that i do not know of program that will allow you to do this.

this is mainly for when i call customer service lines so there is no problem as they record it as well. plus i'm in a state where only one party (myself) needs to be informed.
edit: tried vrecorder but it records from microphone. no biggie but who likes to use speakerphone?
i read somewhere that android itself limits the recording. can anyone clear this up for me?

I've tried a few of them- all of them were OK if using speaker. without speaker only your voice can be heard and the other side only very faint, if heard at all.
now I an using "record my call" (with the ugly big red button) and it is relatively working fine most of the time. I like it because it enables you to classify as important, delete record etc after the call...

Android doesn't have any mechanism for recording incoming audio in the OS. For some reason it's missing, even though Android is not bound to US borders, and call recording is perfectly legal in other parts of the world. This is the reason why there are few programs to record calls on Android, and none of them work w/o using speaker.
The only existing way to record would be to put the phone on speaker and use any voice recorder you want.

I use "allcallrecorder" just search for it in the market. Works great for me.

In Call Recording possible?

Is in-call recording of both sides of the conversation possible on the X10? Are both sides voices recorded clearly and there is no need to use the speaker in order to record both sides?
Check out v Recorder in the android store. I think that might be what your looking for.

I wasn't looking for a suggestion, thanks though. I am actually more interested in a confirmed report by a X10 owner/user that this is actually possible on the X10 before I buy the phone (I am on X1 at the moment and call recording isn't possible on X1).
I'm afraid that the incall recording uses the speaker to record the other persons voice.
Call Recorder has positive comments for perfect working.
it costs 0.99 pounds.
does (only) work with android 1.x .
Are you sure that the opinions expressed here"http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-opensystem-callrecord-jjDw.aspx"
are positive??
not completely positive ..
the german market gives me a 5* rating for it .. sorry ..
hope we'll find a workaround for it, i'd really like to have a recording option.

2 way clear and proper in-call recording is not possible on the X1 AFAIK. I am following the threads regarding this issue for a long time and no fix has been found yet, would be very happy if you have other information I am not aware of, please provide. TIA.

I am using the excellent cooked Energy Rom by NRGZ28 which is also based on the Touch HD and has the in-call recorder included, but it doesn't work on X1. As I said - I am following all the threads regarding this issue and no-one seems to have found a way to make in-call recording work on X1, but if you know for a fact that this is doable please post a URL of a thread that explains how it's done.

try this
Once you have dialed a call, press the notes icon (post-it note with tack through it). This will open up the notes application. From there choose Menu->View Recording Toolbar. The toolbar will open up on the bottom of the screen and will allow you record both sides of the conversations while writing or typing

That's exactly what I meant when I wrote that clear and proper 2-way recording is not possible on the X1.
If you tried your suggestion you will see that you can record your own voice very loud and clear, but can barely hear the other side, which is actually recorded from the ear speaker and not straight from the phone.
I have a SE K750i which, for example, which record both sides of the conversation at the same high volume, perfectly. That's what I am talking about...

I think that we are moving away from the issue, now as far as call recording on the X10 is concerned i've just come across an app that "seems" to be recording both sides of the conversation well enough,it's Killer Mobile Total Recall v.1.00.
I've downloaded the "Full" app and will try it and post feed back.

Looking forward for that. Any results yet?
Hi,
I have an X10 and downloaded "Total Recall Trial". You had to restart the phone, but after that it record the call like a charm, BOTH WAYS!!!
No "beep" at all. Some recorders have "beeps" every minute.
Will defenitley buy this app as soon as I can. Live in Sweden, so paying for apps is not yet available through Market! :-(
To listen to the calls after I use an app named "aPlayer".

Excellent! Could you please post a sample file so that we can hear the quality of both sides?
search for an app called "spoof". in call recording, change your voice, and change your caller ID.

you need to purchase credits and make calls over their service to spoof something or make recordings.

Are there any phone call recorder Apps that work with the fascincate

I have been looking all over for a phone call recorder app that will actually work with our phones. I was wondering if anyone has found one that does work or are we just SOL when it comes to the fascinate

+1 on that request. I can legally record calls without the other party's knowledge and would like to begin recording all incoming calls automatically. So far I've found no way other than google voice, which has an audible warning to the other party.. pretty much defeating the purpose of uninformed recording.

[Q] 2 way call recorder for evo3d

Hello.,
what is a good 2 way call recorder that works with evo 3d
something you can turn on or off manually
not automatically recording all calls
from my understanding, Android doesn't allow for true call recording...all you would be doing is recording the sound coming off the speakers.
a bigger concern for you is that many states do not allow conversations to be recorded without the explicit consent of both parties...so you may be breaking state and/or federal laws when you record that call
I wonder if there is a calltone that mimicks those company quality assurance messages that play before they transfer you to a tech. That would rule!
Those messages serve precisely the purpose of getting your permission. They tell you the call may be monitored and by staying silent your consent is implied.
I wonder if they would actually stop recording if you explicitly say you don't consent...

Just use the Voice Recorder app that comes with the phone I believe every ROM has it records all noise around the phone including the other person.
P.S. that's how i get people snoring when they say they don't snore on the phone haha.

Call recorder

So older Nokias had this feature built in. The ability to record phone calls. With new smartphones, they build them in such a way where you can't program an app to do that. Recording a phone call to the phone's memory directly.
Please tell me Nokia has stuck with this and built the mic in a way you can record calls. Awaiting hardware and software experts to comment.
thanks!
There are restriction in certain US States to record call. Symbian phone made by European manufacturer may allow software to record incoming call but put "beep" sound natively.
About two years ago I used to have Nokia e90 with symbian and a software called Total Recall.
That software allowed me to automatically record incoming and outgoing calls without the beep.
I'm more than sure that the same software is available on Blackmart for ROOTED android devices.
I just don't need it this is why I don't use it right now.
After all it is very convenient to record a call because you do not have to write down anything while you'r driving.

Call Recording

Hi,
Is there a way to enable call recording on stock but rooted and locked bootloader on this awesome phone?
Please advise.
Install Xposed.
Then Xperia Dialer Mod module
Oh.. Thank u very much
I use the Call Recorder app (by skvalex).
Works so fine..
No root, mods are necessary. I am using ACR call recording app and all I can say that it is brilliant.
Coming from Samsung devices it is a great thing for me to be able to actually record the calls

I am not really sure what you mean by from "line" or "speaker phone". All I can say is that the speakers voice quality is actually better than mine, from mic, during the call. It records in 3gp format and seriously, it is really good.
If you want I can send you some example conversation so that you can evaluate but the easiest thing you can do is download ACR and try for yourself, they have a free version with limited functionality and you can try for yourself.
Sure I will try that app. By Line I mean direct recording through phone line I mean some apps use the speaker phone to record calls which hampers the quality of the recording. Anyways, I will try this app!
do you know how to display caller city, state (just like iphone) on the stock calling UI?
