[Request][Boot Animation] Aperture Science! - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

Figured someone had to have done something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg23Tvkjonc&feature=related
So, as you might expect, I'm requesting something like this to be made to work with the atrix.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to make it work!

Wow I would love that, and pay for it too

I'm a photographer and graphic designer and I would LOVE that boot ani.

I can't test this right now because I don't have my AC plug, but here it is adapted for the Atrix. I removed the shutdown animation stuff to save on file size since I don't think the Atrix would run them anyway.

Of course, you will need CWM to install the above package. If you prefer not to use CWM, then just download the package above, extract it, copy the bootanimation.zip file to your SD card, then use root explorer to place it in /system/media and set its permissions to rw-r--r--.

here's a white one. kudos to HardcorePooka for the original work on it.
aperture-white-atrix-cwm-1.zip
i take NO credit for the boot ani. i simply tweaked it for the Atrix. PM me if it's not what you're looking for and i might give it a go.
there are no sounds with this one.
lol @ jimbush3 beat me by a minute.
i did test the white one, but only once.

Here is the original with the shutdown parts removed as well since it seems that some of you may have wanted the Aperture info in there:
View attachment ApertureScienceUpdateOGsound.zip - with sound
View attachment ApertureScienceUpdateOG.zip - without sound
Also, I take no credit whatsoever for this - all I did was remove some unneeded parts from the CWM installer.
EDIT - looks like people are going to have more options than they anticipated. I'm just glad to see the Atrix dev community starting to grow. We just on projects like this now.

Thanks! Just saw this and made me excited to see how it works.
I'd run home to try it out if I didn't have to be at a final in 45 minutes... definitely going to be one of the first things I do when I get out.

Flashed via CWM... sound didn't work. Is there something special that I should do?

The desc.txt had to be updated to include the audio. It must not have been needed on the other phone it was designed for. I've added a download link to the other post where the aperture bootanimation is.

looks so good, the lockscreen looks great, anyone know where to get it?

Looks like a custom widgetlocker lockscreen.. shouldn't be too hard to replicate.
+1 on its awesomeness!

So, I noticed that the Nexus S has a sweet screen-off animation where it looks like an old-school TV.. Is there any way to get that on the fascinate?
If there is, is it put in a file in the system files like Framework or services.jar?
Does anyone know if there is anything like that?
It's just something really simple, but it would make this phone just that much more amazing.
I posted this over at Android Central, and no help came along. I figured i should go straight for the source of all of the magic.

Sighhhhhhh
Yeah, I was informed on Android Central of the same thing... too bad..
Sure would be nice, though. Lol.
Isn't that what ComRom 1.3 uses?
its unique the gingerbread framework...
however a dev did get it working on froyo recently for the sony x8...on aosp...and pushed the code to github
sbrissen had said he take a look at it briefly if/when he had time...but if it was going to be difficult/time consuming that would be it
someone has been living under a rock......

[Boot Animation] Google + Android = Fatality

Hey guys, spent a ton of time on this!!! I hope you like it and please hit Thanks if you do!!! It is not a CWM file, I use Absolute System Tools (boot animation goes in goodies folder) to install it but i'm sure there are other ways if you know your way around the rom you are using. I'll give you a few snippets but it's worthwhile checking it out for yourself.... Enjoy and don't forget Thanks!
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7118174/FatalityBoot.zip
Edit: Crap, I totally forgot, silverxbv2 helped me out with the desc.txt, I was running into problems. He's awesome!
I have to like this simply because it is Mortal Kombat. Any chance we could get just the normal fatality without the icons added in though? or if I am allowed to request *anything* I would LOVE for anything Mileena as a boot animation

Yeah, pretty easy to do... might have to wait until tomorrow, i'll see... what do you want to loop though?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpuQX9G-Gn0
0:33 to 0:48 would be pretty much perfect. It could stay on Mileena wins at the end, or just repeat. Not sure how the whole thing works.
I think it would make a pretty cool edit for an Android/Apple thing like the one you originally posted as well. Nothing cooler than an Android ripping off Apple's torso
Oh man, or that first fatality
0:15 to 0:30 would be pretty epic with the apple being eaten.
No rush on getting anything done for me though. The fact that you will even consider it is awesome and much appreciated.
EDIT: If you meant the end, the Android + Google = Fatality bit is still great. I like it. If you would like to reuse that with Mileena on the end instead of Cage, that would be awesome. Or get creative, it's your work and I will be more than happy with anything you might put out for me

[BOOTANIM] Troll face dancing!

This animation is based off of and looks exactly like this (except it's a bit faster and fits our screens ha):
http://i.minus.com/il1jaw.gif
I did not create this; I just put together the zip. All credit goes to xterminator at AndroidArea51 (I'm not sure if he's a member here or not).
Also he gave me full permission to post this.
ENJOY.
This is totally worth the extra battery drain for bootup. Thank you for this. *flashes immediately*
I lol'd hard when I saw this.. awesome!! Gonna flash in a bit.
Funny. Now I just need one musical accompaniment

Think you could add some three stooges music to this? Great animation lol I love it
Sent from my SGH-I777 running shostock2 v1.1
Speed it way way up and set it to Yakety Sax.
Nice. Flashing right away.
Flashed! I will enjoy every time i reboot
Does this have a boot sound?

[WIP] Z3 Compact Bootanimation

Hey guys,
I've been messing around with AE over the weekend and have started work on a boot animation for our Z3Cs.
Have a look at the preview here:
Preview - WIP
If you guys are interested, let me know and I'll finish it off.
Cheers!
Mod Edit:
Thread closed as no download link is available so far.
OP can PM me if he's wants to continue this project.
I'm very interested! It looks nice and professional! I don't know what other plans you have (in order to finish it)
But if you're lacking some proper ideas why not just lengthen what you already have, making the animation a bit slower by adding more layers.

What ^ said ... It looks very good IMO. Might be good to have the Xperia bit pulse maybe, not really sure whether it would work in the order it is now but just my 2 cents ... I used to have one a few years ago that I got from here that was the Walkman logo and it pulsed from dim to bright, looked very good, at least I thought so lol
Delay the explosion and lengthen entire concept/slow down frame rate. Looks awesome
the good old videocopilot stuff, did this one too a few months ago
btw looking good so far

Indeed! They've got some awesome tutorials and this one looked too good not to try!
I've extended it and smoothed out some banding that had appeared (ignore the quality of the uploads as they're over processed), but am not happy with how it starts yet. I should be finished by tomorrow.

Flashable Zip Boot Animations

Firstly I must give the statutory warning that I am not responsible for - Bricking - Cracking - Banging - Smashing - Licking your device. All animations have been tested by me on my A2017U but this does not guarantee that they will work on your device.
All animations I post will be in flashable zip form so there is no need to sort out where to put it or what permissions to give it, all is taken care of by the zip file. One cautionary note, if you want to preserve the standard Axon animation then before flashing you must go into /system/media and change the name of the existing animation because otherwise the new one will overwrite it.
Each animation I post will be accompanied by a GIF file which will give you an idea of what the animation looks like, the names will be the same apart from the extension, this should make it easier see which is which.
Remember these are flashable zips to be flashed by your custom recovery i.e. TWRP.
One last caution, although I will only post animations I have successfully flashed to my own device this does not mean I am responsible if anything happens to yours. If people find them useful I will make more as and when I have the time.
Ok here is another one, the second Andy one. No need to repeat all the blah, blah, blah of the first post, it all still applies. Apart from new ones I make I will also be converting some I made for the Moto X Pure.
OK last one for now. Post #1 cautions apply.

Do you know if there are any limitations to these animations? Max and lowest resolution? Duration? DPI?
I see thats just a series of .jpegs so I can easily make something for myself.

@trasheris ... Thanks for the questions. I find that it is largely a matter of personal preference as to how you construct an animation.
Personally I find that size is generally my main consideration, I detest animations that exceed 5 Mbs in size, I feel that it's unnecessary to clog up a system with something that is only "window dressing". I'll try and give you my answers point by point.
1. Resolution depends on weighing clarity on one hand with size on the other.
2. Duration depends on the device. The A7 for example has the shortest time available to display of any device I have ever owned, so you have to make your animation duration fit your device. Remember the time is set by the device it's not going to wait to boot until your saga of an animation ends.
3. DPI has nothing to do with boot animations.
Get your series of jpg's use a graphics adjustment program to make them the size you need, use a graphics program to determine the resolution quality then build your animation.
Another couple, Post #1 applies.
Another two. Post #1 applies as usual.

Thank you for this!
@tele_jas ... Many thanks for your input :good:
Just one today. Don't forget Post #1
Nice animations! Thank you. Pac-Man was one of my favorite games, next to Ms. Pac-Man.
@MiMtnBiker ... lol I used to like it myself. Thanks for your thanks.
@nujackk ... Re your request for Superman, as we both suspected I wasn't able to find anything really worth while but I did my best with the attached two, however I don't really like them.
EDIT note -- The "Super-1" gif is quite a bit darker than it is when it's applied to the device. On the device you can quite clearly see the faces.

On a side note this just made me realize why I never really liked Affleck as Batman. He's doesn't Look like a great Detective !
Hey buddy, did you try this on LOS or RR? I tried this in RR and can't seem to get it to work for the life of me.

Aah, I got it to work now. It was because I had installed substratum earlier, and even though I had uninstalled it, somehow the boot-animation wasn't getting overridden even after flashing these. Many thanks for these!

@phoenix2241987 .. Thanks for your input on this. Your reply may well help out others who run into the same or similar problem. My apologies if my previous answer was a little casual/non-caring, a personal problem total non-related was "kicking my butt" at the time.
