lol , or maybe we should look at Gnash Android proyect, that would be nice.

Or someone could try and port lightspark.

that would be wonderful... MT with flash capable....
if only adobe support armv6

a noob question...
is there any way to do flash not using adobe?i mean other software, open source maybe?

You could use the browser Skyfire, it can play flash videos on our devices. Have to pay for the video license though.

Flash player for Galaxy 5

I know as the flash player is not compatible for our g5 phone as it is only for armv7 but I have found some devs providing flash player for armv6..does it really works?? If yes than we can even get a multitouch support for our phone as the hardware cannot be a problem!! What say??!!!.!!

we can't get multitouch.
there are some flash players for our phone, check out DashblacKs site :http://galaxy-5.blogspot.com/
I have a flash player myself but that cannot be upgraded as from the market..and has to be satisfied with the limitations of the hardware..but if this.can be, why not multitouch??
Sent from my GT-I5500 using Tapatalk
because our phone only has one touch sensor probably, cant get multi-touch. As for flash player, im not exactly sure what you're asking but DashBlacK will do an update of it for us in the future (hopefully) so you can get it from his site

I think its both good and bad.
The good thing is that sites is using HTML5 more and more, the bad thing is that many sites still uses flash.

Do not panic.. Only the new devices are unsupported.. Existing devices that supports flash like s3 will get eventual updates when needed.

That's only partially correct. There might be security patches (maybe) but that's it. The app will even be removed from the Play Store later this year. So no updates to fix compatibility with new OS versions. That means no Flash on Jelly Bean.

That's very bad news especially for the sgs3. Flash is very buggy on this phone and won't be fixed. When it does work the performance is amazing though. You don't even feel any slowdown when flash is enabled.
What is there reason? It's got 100 million + downloads.. people want flash. Ad a few ads or whatever to make it profitable

Most probably because google want to drop support for flash. So they stopped support in advance. Its a pity because flash works perfectly in the last 2 generations of android smartphones and provided a truly desktop internet experience. Now that android does not support flash browsing is not anymore capable than ios anymore.
Yeah lots of people will probably respond with something about html5 being gazillion time better than flash comments but you know what? html5 performance sucks even worse than flash. Youtube html 5 videos perform poorly even on my i7 desktop pc. So what if html 5 is the future? This has been repeated over and over for the past 3 years but guess what? Today flash is still the more widely used format. I want to view my content now not in the uncertain future.
They said the same about ICS. I'd ignore the comment, the writer is probably just doing some PR to suck up to Apple.

so u seem a gud developer or a coder ok do compile an apk of flash 11 file for future use. thanka

This article compares flash vs html 5 performance. Flash came out on top. While that was back in 2010, I tested it today on my galaxy S3 and flash is still much faster than html5. 25fps vs 48fps.
HTML5 performance suck balls even on my Desktop. Tried all the browsers, many demos work badly. Buggy or not, flash is better right now.
HTML5 videos doesn't even play on the Vimeo desktop page while flash worked perfectly.

Playstation Mobile

So, Playstation Mobile was released today. I installed the .apk on my S3 and can confirm we aren't supported.
Think anyone will release a crack?
I really don't know, it depends how the app finds out what model you are on, not compatible with hardware, possibly.
If I was Sony though I would check the model of the phone and check servers then probably not, unless people want to spoof their model number.

Hmm okay. I guess we'll be getting support at some point. There's not too many games out of it at the moment anyway.

You could try this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/1...tion-mobile-for-android-on-any-rooted-device/
I don't know if that method works on the GS3, however. After being the unlucky owner of a 3G Vita (which I gave to my brother, who doesn't use it anymore after he got a GS2), there's no way I'm letting any **** like that onto my phone. Sony can go to hell.

An android smartphone is no replacement for a dedicated handheld games console. Actually compared to phones you get way more for your money.

I would say the other way, "It's a shame that Samsung doesn't support PlayStation mobile on such a powerful device."
I installed it with the method on Android Police, but "files over 20MB can only be downloaded via WiFi" ok uninstall.
Also @onesolo it's not Samsung, it's Sony, they make the app, they have to make it compatible, unless you want Samsung to replace all hardware in the S3 with the hardware of supported devices, then it might work.

[Q] Flash Player

Someone was telling me that the Mobile Flash Player has been phased out; is this true? If yes, why? What does Flash have against Mobile Devices?
Thanks,

So the Flash Player was discontinued for all smartphones? Whether or not Html5 is the future, Flash is still widely used; it doesn't make sense that they'd just discontinue it like that. Unless Html5 can run Flash.. can it? I assume that all the new Smartphones are compatible with Html5, right?
Thanks,
-Adam
Html5 can't run flash, they are completely different. And yeah almost all smartphones support html5, even our o1 can play html5 videos smoothly
