I don't believe anyone's confirmed this but will the official Asus leather sleeve/case work for the tablet + dock? (I'd post the link but it won't let me at the moment)
I asked Asus directly and they claim that it doesn't work according to the "product manager" but I am skeptical because it is listed as an official paired product with the Asus Transformer on the Amazon page.

Well for one I dont think the sleeve is leather, I dont think it can be used with the dock either. It's just for when you have it undocked
Someone posted pics of one they had got in their boxed bundle (lucky sod, i didnt get one ). It showed that there was only one opening, and that was a speaker side of the case poking out. So, no it won't work with the dock.
There are cutouts for:
Rear Camera
Left side volume up/down and power
Right side Headphone, microphone, hdmi
There are also holes over the speaker area on both sides.
the USB proprietary plug is the only thing exposed on the bottom of the unit. The keyboard dock latches are not exposed.

are you talkibg about that? i dont think that designed specifically for the tf. i think amazon is simply making that reccomendation...since when docked a tranformer probably has the same formfacotr as regular asus netbooks

Yeah that's the one. Okay so as I thought. Probably not worth trying then as the Asus rep said it won't fit.

Well, I wanted to have a dock for my gTab, and I think I can get one (here in China anyway). Basically I realised that the Viewsonic gTablet is a re-label of the chinese branded Malata Zpad. The Zpad comes in a pack with leather(ette) protector case, a screen protector, and a dock. The dock can be bought separately here in China (taobao). Now the Chinese immediately say that if it's not the same brand it won't work, which is an easy answer, and silly considering the CHinese are out for one thing: your money.
In any case, the Zpad and the gTablet are physically identical. Same screen, same buttons on the top right corner (in landscape mode) and same connectivity on the left hand side, with the 30-pin connector on the bottom.
Difference is the label stuck on the device and the front bezel in silver coloured plastic rather than full black plastic.
I don't see the difference, and although I can understand that software could manage I/O's I don't see why this dock shouldn't work for the viewsonic gTablet.
However, if someone has another opinion I gladly hear it! (if so, and explanation would be useful...).

I would offer to sell you one but if your in China then I would just grab one locally
Hello. I hope I am posting this in the right place and please forgive if not. I have had my Gtab for about a month and like it a lot. I have TNT lite 2.2.0 on it. I just got the dock and cant seem to get the ethernet working. Dont even see an option in settings for it. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I think he is talking about the dock that some zpads came with stock. Its bigger than the one you have.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear about it. Basically, I have the viewsonic gTablet. However it apears to be exactly the same as the Malata Zpad.
In some cases the Malata was shipped with a dock, but the dock can also be purchased separately. I don't know if the stock dock is the same or different from the separately available dock.

It doesn't block the speakers. It's the same case as the $25 roocase here:

I've given up on the "wrap around the outside but doesn't cover the beautiful back" silicon case that apparently will never come up. Went ahead and ordered one of these.
Can't you just but a silicone case and cut out the back using a box cutter? Or you looking for something different?

Ya I just bought it about an hour ago, it cost me $8 should be here sometime before friday, I'll let you know how it is, even though it does look like its made from the same people who made the roocase, and vertek. I think all they're doing is stamping their logos on them..

The charging port is covered while it's closed. Someone on Amazon complained about that and a representative of the company responded that it was designed that way on purpose so that the port wouldn't wind up getting damaged while the case was in use.
I just got this case and I must say it is awesome. Excellent quality. Highly recommended.

I read a review on Amazon from a member here at XDA. I won't use his
name because he might not like it. But, I just got this from Verteks

Case Logic are doing a nicer black case that you can use the prime with keyboard whilst still in the bag / case have a look on the case logic website. Think I will get the case logic one.

They are well made, I have a case logic for my Asus netbook and its very good. Will definitely get case logic for the Asus Prime. It's well protected, has a strap, it does the job and looks good.

Where are you seeing the Case Logic case? I was not able to find it one their web site.
I got this one fits good only 13.65 and prime shipping its made for the galaxy 10.1

Bought the bottom one (verteks) so i'll post my opinions when it arrives but I also bought this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006QHW7JS/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details cause it comes with a zip up case + dock + HDMI cable. another version of it comes with everything except the HDMI cable is switched with 3 different colored stylus (or is it styli????).

DO NOT get the smart cover, I had it on my first prime and it damages the metal back with dents and scratches. It is form Asus and is poorly designed (go figure), it will fall apart on your 3 times a day and although you can reassemble it, it is very annoying having to do so.

I am looking at this case as well as I read about the reviews on the office transleeve having all the problems with the tablet and the lack of availability online. From the pictures on amazon it seems that its quite thin to carry around. I read a review somewhere maybe from it official website saying that this can carry a dock with the transformer so i assume this is okay.
i have this case! it fits very well and you dont even have to take the prime out of the dock. also, it is a hard case, so it protects much better against falls etc.

Thanks for the info! just a quick question, since the tablet is very thin and so once you put the prime into the case does it get really fat or huge to hold with one hand?

of course its thicker, its not a neoprene sleeve. but thats why it protects well and you can still easily carry it with one hand! i really like it. didnt expect much for the price and was pleasantly surprised!
i also ordered a 10'' netbook case from case logic to compare, but the prime has too much room in it and its more of a thin neoprene, so its just scratch-protection...
I bought this hard case:

Internal dimensions now that I have it in my hand are:
Case: 26.8cm x 19.1cm x 3-4cm
Prime: 26.3cm x 18.1cm x 2cm
As you can see, it's a pretty close fit in theory. Have to wait 5 days before I get my Prime to confirm it's a good fit.

just like everyone else, looking for a proper case for my prime
since eventually (in the near future) I plan on getting the Dock, i'm looking for a case/sleeve
- looked at all the cased and couldn't find one I liked
- Finally found a case, but haven't had a chance to try it yet
it's the HP VX403AA / VX404AA it's a mini neoprene sleeve for the HP Mini netbook
- price is 32$ as low as I could find it. pricey but nice
- Has 2 smaller pockets on one side and a big one on the other side
- Plenty of storage to keep the charging cable/charger/micro USB with the tablet wherever you go.
- I'll let you know how it fits as soon as I try it, you can find it in local BestBuy's so if any1 is interested in trying it out before I get to it, by all means post your results.

It looks like there is a pocket on the inside of the cover.
I ordered this iGadgitz case. Hope to get it next week. I will post some pictures when I have it.
I have recently purchased the envelope neoprene case by built. They sell several different versions but I bought the 9-10" net book version and the transformer prime with dock attached fits like they were made for each other. It also has a front pocket for your charge cables and charger.

Could you post a link?
This is a great case, my prime and dock lives in it when I'm not using it. It fits snug and feels well protected. There is a mesh Pocket inside which I justuse to keep the screen cloth, but you could easily fit a USB cable in.

Case only for the pad, not for the keyboard, but if pad wears the case, it can still connect to the docking

I was going to ask the same question!
On ebay, I only see the match dock version which is meant for both tablet and dock combined. It is pretty nice but I want something w/o the dock. It would be cool if they combine the two designs by just making an adjustable strap or fastener in the back (the crease that holds together the part on the back of the tablet and the front cover) that can lenghten to accomodate the keyboard and shorten when you just have the tablet. That would be perfect.
Edit: Actually I am mistaken, the one I am interested in is this one not the one in the OP.

the one u posted was quite good looking but the thing i dun like about the case was the "smart cover", it just have the Apple feeling,
