I9000 Heaphones - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need good headphones for my Vibrant, there is a guy how is selling OEM galaxy s ones cheap. Can I use Galaxy S headphones, does everything work?

No, the headset made for I9000 galaxy S will NOT work on a vibrant, although any headset made for iphone will work, so there is a lot of headsets to select from.

If you are looking for an audiophile-grade sound, try these:
http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Earbud...XE/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1305152211&sr=8-15
They are the BEST you can do in terms of sound quality for in-ear headphones. The microphone is also fully compatible with this phone. They are not cheap but trust me when I say you will love the build quality (all metal and cloth wire) and sound quality (best you can get with small headphones really).
I had mine for over 6 months now and still impressed with them when you tune them right with PowerAmp.

Im sorry but they are not "the BEST". They are, however, a "good quality for price" headphones, but there are much better headsets than this one. In my experience my etymotic HF2 sound better than those, although the V-Moda are cheaper. There much higher quality options but the price go for 200 bucks or more.

Good in ear headphones for touch HD

Hi, I want to buy new "Good" headphones for my touch HD, maximum 150~200$
I looked at:
Re2,ER6i,q-jays,NuForce NE7M
what IEM's better for touch HD ?
and what you have headphones ?
wow for that price you can get something like theese http://www.ultimateears.com/_ultimateears/products/metrofi/index.php
I personally have DENON AH-C351 in ear headphones for about 60$ (In Latvia)-- theyre really good, But our Touch HD can never use the full potential of them-- just try your headphones with Touch HD and the try them with your PC - youll notice the difference- especially with low frequencies!!
Good Luck on the earphone hunt!!
oh BTW for about 200$ you can ger bluetooth in ear headphones (saw nokia ones some time back)
Ue very good but too expensive for that quality.
I not only use with touch HD so i type 150-200$ for good IEM's
if i want use headphones only with touch HD, them max 50-100$
I hate wireless headphones (often load battery, and poor quality)
well- creative had some good headphones-- dont know which one of them though!!
and you can check brands like sony(they make good headphones)
just go to your local electronics shop and take the best heaphones from it!!
Klipsch custom one for me.

I'm using Sennheiser MM50, which is actually for iPhone 3G, black version earphones, but anyhow the 4C rings match of HTC Touch HD's 3.5mm jack so that you can use its mic and button to receive calls and the sound quality is really nice. I totally recommend it if you like tube (or whatever it is called) style earhphones...
I know this is a "little" over your budget but try to consider a pair of costum moulded in ear monitors like the livewires - http://www.mylivewires.com/ -
I have had mine for a couple of month and it is like somebody stole all my music and replaced it with better quality music. There is a world in difference. I used a set of SHURE in ear before (not chep either) and the difference is mind blowing.
You can replace the cords and keep the moulds so this is more like a long investment.
Worth every penny...
Robert
I'm using the Sennheiser CX-500. I really like them, except for the fact that they don't have a mic.
I got the AKG In-Ear headphones, they have a very good quality...
get JH13, UE11pro, Westone ES3x or ACS T1.
I bought Jays d-jays and they're absolutely stunning very good value for the money, the only downside is they could have a bit more bass.
I'm using the Sennheiser CX-400 II, I am more than happy with them.
If you are sound maniac and enjoy to listen music i can recomend you Sony MDR-EX90LP Stereo Earphones.
I use this with my Touch HD and the sound is crystal and cool
also befor they was expensive now you can find them cheeper and save some money
So is this the only in-Ear With mic that works with the Touch HD?

I really rate sennheiser headphones. I currently use CX300 II in ears for my touch HD. Not too bad at £40, and great full range sound.

No.. shure se110 too have mic control. the mic can be detech so I can use with other earphones with 3.5mm jack.
spend that extra on quality..!
I've been DJing for years, and good headphones are a must. As far as inner ear headphones, sennheiser are pretty good price for the quality they are, I prefer the sport line, where the right or left hand side wire is longer so you can route behind neck and not be in the road at the gym. You can go crazy and spend the extra on the IE line eg. IE6,IE7,IE8. there all noise cancelling ones and are claimed by sennheiser to be good enough for studio monitoring, though you'll be paying extra for them. Just what ever you do, avoid buying them off ebay. Alot of, what appears to be really good sennheiser knockoffs, or factory seconds. I'm an avid ebayer and the set I bought you may as well chuck in the bin, the seller was in my country, Australia..., though he had chinese name when replyed via email.
I bought these from Ebay and I have to say for the money they are pretty darn good.
earbuds
I've been using UE's superfi 5pro's for the past 18 months or so - awesome sound/never experienced anything like this before - although a bit too sensitive - picks up background hiss between tracks that is lost when music starts - still awesome sound using tcpmp and SRS_WOW_HD 121 if you can get over this intertrack hiss.
Otherwise have been very impressed with my wife's sennheiser cx 300-II's - came a bit close to UE sound quality/bass - when you get them in your ear properly - and you can pick them up on amazon now for less than £20.
PS - fwiw - my UE's have been through a hot cycle in the washing machine with no apparent adverse effects after a thorough drying..... so they're quite robust
Amazing....!
Yeh, isn't it amazing. My sennheiser cx 400's had been through the washer and dryer twice and still kept the sound comin strong, the sound was a bit muddy for the first day or so, though were soon back to normal, I've had a few USB sticks that have done the same as well

[Q] S3 stock headset in-the-box quality ?

about to get an S3
just wonder if the original headsets are good enough
would you please compare them with other headset/hand free that you've used before
i also know how SGS II stock phones sound like so would be good to compare them with that one
heard the bass is good but is it muddy? and how about the mids and highs?
thx you in adv
Mate the best way to describe the stock headphone is, they are crap.
Actually I have to disagree.. They are of insane quality. The bass they can generate is just wooaw.
Also the mid and high tones come with great quality.
You get a ton of little samples with it so they can fit in every ear. The default ones fit my ears just perfect.
I have had a voice with them aswell, also perfect. I have no idea why someone would say they are crap. My brother has bought 110 euro senheiser comparable earplugs and frankly the difference isn't huge at all.
I bought some headphones for £1.99 that just thrashes these through the whole frequency range, plus i find the sound quality from S1,2&3 through headphones and speaker to be pretty mediocre compared to even my old N95 which was much louder and clearer through the range.
well ive heard lots of earplugs/headphones yet, which came with a phone.
those of the S3 are above the average - actually "okay", but nothing compared to decent ones.
i still use my creative ep630 for music (from 2006) since they have much more(!) & better bass.
i wouldnt expect too much of them.
thanks guys !

Like all the bundled headset (excluding the Beats ones that come with some of the HTC gear) the Sammy buds are "usable". If you're a music afficianado (and I'm assuming it's not house/trance you're listening to) then a couple of dollars more on a decent set of 3rd party buds is money well spent.
I found the bass pretty poor and top-end (treble) was far, far too "obvious". Switched in a cheap ($20) set of aJays (http://www.jays.se/products/a-jays-one-plus) and they were far better. Then switched to an old pair of Shure's (e2c's if you wanted to know) and they're perfect (to my ears anyway).
Like most things, the Samsung buds are probably worth slightly more than you paid for them.
Not sure what the best value-for-money option would be - although I'm sure that there's plenty of folks here who have an opinion.

Headphones vs Earbuds - looking for input

Seems like people are really recommending earbuds. Are there recommendations for full sized headphones under $50? I have Sony EX51 earbuds that are ok, but am looking for something that's a bit louder and produces a fuller sound. Seems like actual over the earphones would be best for that. Thoughts?
Any of the Sennheiser HD's will be good. I really like my HD-202 headphones. They are under $25 on Amazon. Also, the AKG K81 DJ headphones are awesome! They are $36 right now on Amazon (I paid $80). I think I like them a little better than the Sennheiser. With headphones you will get a little more bass than with earbuds. I personally like earbuds best since they are more portable, but I paid a little over $400 for the Shure Se-530s, and $250 for my Ultimate Ears 5 pros.
Also, from my experience, Bose, Beats and Skullcandy do not sound good. The Bose had good bass, and some highs, but missed the mids. I didn't like the sound from the Beats or Skullcandy at all.
There's a lot of good quality earbuds that will give you loud full sound. Klipsch S4s are good, and you can find some decent sennheiser and audio technica earbuds for under $50. Same for headphones.
As for headphones vs earbuds, I think it just depends on what you find more comfortable and portability.

I've always been an earbud guy because of the isolation so i can play at a lower volume. After i experienced my first pair of comply foam buds that came with my UE SuperFi Vi's i never went back to headphones when i'm outside, its just way too convenient. The only thing that bugs me is that if i'm having lunch and i try to listent to music, the movement of my jaw tends to make any earbud pop out no matter what, so I suppose headphones would get the thumbs up in that situation.
I use the aforementioned UE's normally, they sound pretty nice though they are not as heavy on the bass as the throwaway offerings from skullcandy that i have. I agree with caspertodd on his experience with beats and skullcandy, those earbuds are tuned to be bass heavy, and i personally perfer a neutral sound where i can EQ as i see fit.
I just picked up a set of ultimate ears metrofi200v on amazon for less then 40$ shipped. best in ear monitors I have ever heard for under 100$ . they have balanced mids,a little to much mid bass, good low bass and sweet highs. They sound awesome on the evo 4g lte. I will never buy monster, beats or Sony's again. They sound thick and airy opposed to my other headphones that sound muddy and tinny, these are perfect

Ultimate ears metrofi 200v > Sony mdr ex56 . They sound a lot better then I thought it would
I say go for Shure SE215. With the foam earbuds they isolate so much sound you don't need a lot of volume to hear your music.

it used to be that IEM's offered better sound for your dollar, but that gap has been thinning for the past couple of years.
granted they'll look goofy as hell on you, I much recommend the Monoprice 8323 if you're looking at budget full-size. They are literally kicker rebrands, and sound is in league with the ATH-M50's (which typically sell for ~$130).

I have these as well, and if you're on a budget, you can't really beat these. This is the first set of headphones I've ever bought. I've always used a $300 set of Shure earbuds before for my "good" set, and monoprice earbuds for my running around/working out set.
The Shure's sound isolation was just too good and I wasn't hearing my family calling for me when I needed to, so I decided to try out these Sennheiser's. They block ambient noise just enough without totally making me oblivious to the world

Best earphones under 100usd?

I am quite disappointed with the quality of headphones come with stock. I am music lover. Love rock song also some bollywood songs and some osho discourses. I love watching movies with surrounding effect. I have never bought any earphone before so please enlightened me with best quality and clarity with great bass ear phones. Also it must be convenient to wear for long time
Thanks
Check out bose they are comfy
try xiaomi piston 2, much much better compared to stock earphones.
AKG K323XS-a. Extremely small, light and comfortable, excellent sound. http://uk.akg.com/akg-product-detail_uk/k323xs-a-black.html
These are the only in-ear earphones I can wear for hours on end without getting a migraine or sore ears.
Bose is the Apple of the audio world. Overpriced and overhyped, with a very moderate quality. Don't waste your money on that.

Very few models will provide volume controls and working answer/start/pause button, so an option might be to get the stock headset (which is dirt-cheap on ebay, but indeed poor) and replace on the main cable just the speaker with something that you like how it sounds (in the reasonably low-cost segment - under 50 - I was very impressed with some older Panasonic earbuds, but sadly the newer low-cost models are no longer in the same quality range, and you have to move to the middle-to-high-cost segment to get the same quality).
One piece of advice i can give you: don't buy earphones that are made for iPhone(but this is what you will get if you want quality) for controls. MIC will work ok but controls will suck.
I have Skull Candy 50/50 or something. the controls are not fully.
For calls and music listening:
- Ultimate Ears 300vm or 500vm (both on heavily discounted at Amazon due to discontinuance) - 26 db isolation - great products/great performance (select Android versions) - both $23 (do not be afraid of the low price)
For working out, heavier use, more critical music listening (and can handle calls just fine with extra isolation that goes into the ear canal) use:
- Etymotic Research MC2 Earphones/Microphone - 35 db isolation - $69
- Etymotic Research HF2 Earphones/Microphone - 35 db isolation - $128
(- Etymotic Research HF5 Portable In-Ear Earphones (Cobalt) - 35 db isolation - $120 sorry these are only headphones))
I own the300vms. the HF2s. Upon seeing the reduced prices I bought more of the Ultimate Ears 300vms for business use (where I tend to lose them occasionally). I also bought a 500vm to try out and compare. I finally bought a higher end 600vm for my wife/son's ipod/ipads.
The controls on the headsets work as intended including mute. Not sure why other phones have issues unless they are ipod/ipad phones being used in Android environment or vice versa. Those have issues (microphone, buttons).
Not sure why they are discontinued but suspect marketing and distribution issues, ie lack of commitment to full UE line by Logitech who bought UE some time ago. Get them while available.
See here for more info:
UE: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/lue
Ety:http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/hscomp.html
PS...Both UE and Etymotic know 'ears', heaphones, primarily in the Pro Music market. They make the best products but just don't have the marketing hype of Beats, Bose, and other phones more freely available.
Yurbuds. I love mine, use them for running a lot and in general. Sweat resistant, great sound, a lot off different with mics, w/o mics, over the ear, in the ear, tangle free cords. That's just a few.
http://yurbuds.com
O yea and they are almost impossible to fall out if worn correctly.
Try the JVC fxt90 .they've been around a while now but I still believe they're really great for the price approx $75ish on amazon. I currently own them and they are extremely musical yet detailed. They have great reviews on other forums as well.
Klipsch S4a and Sol Republic Amps HD are my favorite buds under 100 and even over 100 to be honest
VSonic VC02. They were probably the best In ears I've heard. There is also an earphone review site somewhere where you can get a list of all the earphones, the reviews, and the prices.
I have to give soundmagic a good review with the e10 and e10m if you need a mic. Very good quality sound reproduction. Just get some comply tips for them and you will be surprised what you thought were good ear buds. Both under 50 USD.

Sennheiser or go home
Sennheiser 280 headphones, but you'll probably have to order them online or at a musical instrument store (selling guitars and microphones for example). I paid $110 Canadian for them, so they're probably $100 US or less. Best headphones I've ever used. But they're full-size, over-ear headphones. If you're an audio person, then don't waste your time or money on earbuds. To create sound (of any quality), a speaker needs to move air. It's not possible to get quality sound from a ¼" speaker, since it's too small to move enough air for quality sound.
The only downside (for some) is no Bluetooth on these headphones. But if you're looking for good audio quality at a price worth paying (Bose sounds good but it's just overpriced) then Sennheiser 280s are worth every penny.

Also depends if you want wired or bluetooth headphones. I have bluetooth headphones LG tone+ 700 and 800. Love both. 700's usually are 50 bucks or 800's will run you higher right at that 100 dollar range. I find that they have great audio quality, (the 800's are better) and the charge lasts for 8 hours and you don't have the whole cord thing to deal with. I exercise with them and use them for my daily commute. To deal with calls, the sound quality is good and i don't get any complaints. I'm able to use the buttons on the neck wrap (this thing lays around the base of your neck) and it works well for forwarding tracks or going back tracks. The volume control works fine and answering calls are fine. Just thought you might be interested.

if u r looking for one with a good mic , i'll suggest sennheiser mm 30g 60bucks
Xiaomi piston 2.0
Don't be fooled by the price. They sound extremely good and are very durable. All the controls work on our phone.
Just make sure you buy from an authorized reseller, as you don't want to end up with a fake copy.

AKG Headphones

Guys,
What are the new supplied headphones like in quality for sound and overall design?
Also Just found this site selling the "official headphones" £29.99 is anyone looking for spare.
http://www.digitalsave.co.uk/offici...-kardon.html?gclid=CPm31oHFtdMCFWwo0wod6jsBIw
Personally, i found them to fit brilliantly, very comfortable, and to me ( i am not a audiophile sorry to say) sound really good, thank you for the link.
Likewise i thought they were a good fit, plus the sound from them sounded (to me) really good with lots of bass that you tend not to get with other stock headphones in ear that i have tried, but im no audiophile either.
As an audiophile I found them to be quite decent for stock headphones. The sound quality is definitely good. I haven't yet had the time to change the ear tips to fit my ears and test if they fall off easy or anything. That being said, I might stick to Bose earphones.
After reading that they are expensive, I was hoping for a way better experience. I like the EarPods/Airpods from Apple way more.

That makes me very happy to hear. The main reason I didn't purchase the V2O when it came out was I'd missed out on the pre-order and wouldn't be getting the B&O earbuds. I'm very happy with the AKG set that came with the phone, and really looking forward the the BT AKG headphones I just ordered this morning. That and the memory card I'm looking forward to, along with VR headset / controller.

I felt the sound quality was crystal clear. Treble and vocals are crisp but bass was on disappointing side. It isn't as punchier as the one's we get with HTC One series. Maybe I need to tweak equalizer more to get that heavier bass but default settings didn't sound deep enough. Again, I maybe wrong.
I'm pretty sure this is one more of those cases where you get a practically different product for different markets, but the ones I got in Serbia are pretty crappy :/ I'm no audiophile, but compared to my cheap Xiaomi Piston 3, these are so tinny, low-volume and just plain bad I was actually thrilled when I saw them, tried them right away, but just put them back in the box after 2 minutes...
They're not bad. Pretty clear high end and decent mids but somewhat underwhelming low-end. Still better than the buds that came with my S6E and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.

I learned a while ago not to trust loose Samsung headsets.
I've bought replacements for 2 different Samsung "included" headsets, and in both cases the originally included headset sounded great while the replacements sounded cheap.
Their sound profile is slightly U shaped with emphasize on the bass & highs. Not really neutral or truly high end but by far the best stock earphones that I've ever heard.
I'm a musician and I own Sennheiser HD650, HD600, Shure SE425, Etymotic ER4P & AKG K702 with several dedicated headphone amps, so I know what I'm talking about...
I persoanlly think these headphones are the best of any inbox headphones I've ever used and I've used a lot.
Dont forget to use the equaliser aswell it can enhance the sounds for more clarity base and so on.
To be honest, they sound good but are poor in quality. They're cheap plastic and the right one on my pair has driver flex like crazy.
These AKG headphones are ip68/waterproof or not ?
I thought the stunk when I first tried them. I use PowerAmp and found that I had to go in and adjust the equalizer for both headphones and BT.
Very Happy Now!
I deleted Google Play Music before realizing that it was the default music player for the S8 series. I would assume it needs the same tweaks as Power Amp.
