[UPDATE] 10/17 DIY a genuine leather case for TF101 and Bluetooth keyboard.
I use the case for G-tablet available in electroniccrap named BlutO.
But I have a big problem now: The keyboard can connect with TF101 but can input any character. This keyboard is designed for Ipad.
Some people can make it work with Gtablet.
Any chance to work with TF101?

As far as i know the accessories for TF developing now. about 2 weeks can available.. But i think it's too long...

I have not seen any USB 3.0 chargers so you are pretty much stuck with power-outlet charger from Asus with a USB cable.
However, if you are traveling, you can use this in cigarette lighter and plug the asus wall charger in it and then charge with USB cable...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...17145&creative=399349&creativeASIN=B00144KS6W

Keep an eye on electronicrap.com
Steve, who runs the site and actively posts in the accessories section of the Xda Gtab forum., should have some stuff soon.... I believe he already has some connectors for the Transformer on his site....
Betting we will have some different case options courtesy of Steve soon...

I think they will available world wild. The factory said need a week.. I do not know whether this is true. Sometimes, things are unpredictable.

Cover
I can see from the pics that the charger port and the other two openings required for the dock are exposed. But surely that whole side will need to be open in order to dock the TF. If that is the case why leave them open?
Or better still do leave the whole side open so that the TF can be docked whilst still in sleeve.

Why the pattern? Seems a bit to stylish/fashiony for me as a male.

The pattern is indeed ugly (no need for a pattern at all), but if the case was less than $20 (or $25 after shipping) and the pattern changed a bit, it would be a pretty decent folio case.

Hi!
What do you think of this case? It's $26 with shipping on witglobal.com
More expensive on Aliexpress (around $45).
It's supposed to be suitable for the ZT-180 (278x185x25mm), the Flytouch2 (267x17.5x14mm) so it should be ok for the G-Tablet (210x140x14mm).
I think the keyboard is made of silicon (to be confirmed) so the screen will be well protected. With a Bluetooth mouse, it could be a nice laptop!
If somebody already tried this, a review will be really appreciated!

Just a heads-up. I got it on eBay for 17.99 with 9.99 shipping. just received it yesterday.
No offense to the manufacturers, but its definitely China-made . The case, while cheap does exactly what you want it to do, and does it well. I had to cut (with scissors) the left (when facing it head on) "leg" that holds your tablet and drop it down to match the right "leg" so it doesn't block your USB slot for the keyboard.
I might post some pictures later, but at 28.00 total with shipping, I'm very happy with my purchase!
Just don't expect this thing to be 100% best quality case ever....cuz its not .
Thanks!

I don't have the G-tablet yet...but I will have one imported by a friend for Christmas (we don't have it in Europe at this price, Sears sells it at $455.99 for international orders ). Just starting to plan things to buy and to do with this promising tablet...

How did the keyboard work? The arrow keys did they work?
Here is the link for the $25 one with free shipping: http://witglobal.com/goods-1846-10+...10+A8+infotmic+Tablet+PC+-+Free+Shipping.html
You will be very impressed with how the keyboard portion works. The arrow keys and everything work just as planned. Hell, the Windows key on the keyboard even activates the "menu" key! Esc acts like the back arrow, etc. The keyboard "just works" when plugged in. I'm using TnT Lite 2.2 and it works immediately just as you would expect.
Now to get PSXdroid and other emulators setup with that keyboard..... .
Just a quick FYI....since this screen is not resistive (thank god) the stylus that comes with it does not work. I'm sure you can go by a knock-off stylus for iPad that has the correct composition to trigger a capacitive touchscreen and slide it into the little holder for the stylus thats on the inside spine of the case.
More on the "cutting" i had to do and the quality of the case. Its basically (on each side) two pieces of faux leather that are glued (i think hot glue / rubber cement / gorilla glue?) so...it seems cheap to the eye. But i kinda like that...since i had to move that left "leg" anyways...I have a jar of rubber cement and i just re-lathered the two layers with it and sat something flat and heavy on it for about an hour and its still good.
But again, in my opinion, totally worth the $28.00. I've seen just a kickstand for iPad for 33.00 at Walmart. So....yeah....this is a steal until tablet accessories drop in price. The kickstand on this bad boy is primitive (kickstand with cloth strap strapping it to the case) but works fantastically! Also, apparently the kickstand itself has some sort of magnetism to the case....so it doesn't just "flop open" when ever you hold the case weird.
Here's a super-crappy youtube i just did to show off somethings on the case. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WYXEmgDu0E
Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions as I'm glad to answer them.

Thanks for the information. I'm currently using a generic Targus zipper pouch and would much rather prefer this case with the keyboard and stand.

I'll Stongly Second this... I've had this case that I had originally bought for my ZT-180 tablets... the mod to move the U bracket I hadn't tried till I just read this and it took me 5 min with an Exacto knife and a small flat screw driver as the U bracket has about a 3" T inside that holds it stable so you have to work it a bit to break the glue free...
Well worth the money...
I'd love to get something like;
http://www.brookstone.com/ipod-acce...sory.html?bkiid=hmpg|mn_best|topgifts|654186p
But for the difference of ~$28-$99 I'll keep what I've got till someone comes up with one with a BT Keyboard AND J key or touchpad mouse...
Thanks for the heads up on this affordable tablet case! I just ordered one and hope it'll arrive before XMas.
I got the 7 inch version of this expecting to get an archos 70 250gb but those are a myth, im actually going to sell the 7 inch version with screen protectors and get the 10 inch version linked above

Cool, lets see how it works. Count me in.
I bought one from ebay had it in 3 days from Houston to CA.
Removed the left mount and dropped it down a few inches so it was not covering the USB.
It was quite easy with a small flatblade screw driver hobby knife and epoxy. I had a working case in 10minutes.
Will this one work? It is from the same place but it costs $15.00

E and B Key problems
I picked this case/keyboard up and have found that whenever I press the "e" key on the keyboard it will always open up the email app (and not enter the "e" I wanted) and the "b" key will always act like the "Back" button. The keys function as expected when plugged in to my Win7 machine.
Has anyone else seen this behavior on their Gtab?
Thanks in advance

That happened to me with a USB keyboard. A reboot with the keyboard plugged in fixed the issue.
Waiting on delivery
Still waiting for delivery of my case w/keyboard to arrive from China. It shipped out on the 12th and I'm hoping to get it in before XMas so I can give the G-tab and case to my gf. Can someone who ordered from the same place tell me how long it took for yours to be delivered?
Two Cases Arrived Today. WOW!
Ordered on Dec 8th - shipped Dec 10th. Arrived today. Quality problems described earlier in the thread are GONE! This is a very high-quality stand/keyboard - no need to cut and/or glue anything. As described earlier the keyboard worked straight out of the box (TnT v 2.2). No compatibility issues at all - function keys and Windows key worked as advertised. My son has a $60 iPad case (and an iPad, ugh!) This blows it away - better quality, better looks and a keyboard that works. I'm typing this on it now ...
Happy day ...

So are you saying the case you received did not have the tab covering the USB port ("no need to cut and/or glue anything")?
Several sources were mentioned in this thread. Can you point me to where you purchased this as I'd love to get one.

Witglobal Gtab folder leather case/stand ($16 shipped).

Its a nice low profile folder style case, priced reasonably at $17 shipped.
Only problem is apparently there is no side tabs (two bottom ones and one at top),
For some reason (unlike the rest of the stuff) its not listed on witglobal web store.
Find the ebay listings here.
Update: they have listed it on their webstore as well (for $16 shipped).

Update : they have also added a tab-less version (with 4 straps) for $17
Update : they have also 3 official Malata cases v2 (doesn't block the USB port) for $16 shipped.
Looks really nice and slim. But I don't understand what prevents the GTab from sliding out the side of the folio case. With tabs only on the top and bottom, it seems like the GTab can slip out sideways by accident.
Looks like someone bought it. If the buyer is on this forum, hopefully they'll come back here to post a review.
Just sent a couple of questions to the seller about that, hopefully I'll have a positive response. If nothing else, you could always get some foam or rubber to put on the tabs themselves, I would imagine that would keep it nice and snug in there, and protect the tablet from any scratches.
I would expect it to be a tight fit and friction would hold it in.
There are 10 cases sold so far (7 from the expired US listing and 3 from the current listing).
Lets hope any of these makes its way on of the members here.
Looks too unstable for me. I would be crying if it slipped out and hit some concrete.
Hello. Iave order one of these case but still haven't receive it. I will let you know if its ok

Stability of the Case
I would agree about the possibility of gtab sliding out of this case. I have one of their USB cases with clips on the left side as well as on the top and bottom and occassionally, the gtab will slip out the right side if I put it in my backpack the wrong direction. I would much rather see the unit slide in from the top down so that the case clasp would hold it in and have clips on the other three sides (left, right and bottom). I would think that a little velcro might be a good idea. I have the soft side of two long velcro strips on the back and it slides in and out ok. Not sure what would happen with the thickness of the assembly with the clips and velcro. It might be too large. I use the velcro when I use the gtab on my treadmill. Holds it from excess vibration from running.
As far as Witglobal goes, ordering process went smooth, took about three weeks total time to receive the case from them.

Thanks for letting us know. I figured someone here would buy one of these cases! Anyway, I'd love to hear how the case works out after you receive it. Some photos of your GTab in the case would also be nice!
Just Ordered One
I just ordered one. I'll let you know how it goes when I get it. I already got the case with keyboard from the same company. It took 3-4 weeks for it to come in, so don't be in a rush if you decide to order something from them.
As for this case not having tabs on the side, if the tab does seem to slide a bit I may glue a rubber mat/mesh to the back of the case, the same stuff used in tool boxes, drawers, etc. I would assume between the mesh and the friction of the tabs the tablet will stay in place.
How thick is the whole thing once the GTab is installed? Also, can the flap that covers the screen fold all the way back or does it only go a little over 90°? Very interested.

Looking at the pics, I would assume it would be like the case I already have. Yes, the cover will fold back on itself, but then the kickstand will not be able to fold out. Although it is possible to fold the cover back and open the kickstand on it.
Hope that answers your question.
Sorry fo the delay, I've been busy.
I'll let everyone know when it comes in.

Hi all sorry to kinda steal the thread but ...
Hope someone can help
Can anyone please confirm that the witglobal site is a real one and not a fake, it would be one thing to buy accessories for a couple of dollars, but another sending out 400$ for a tablet that would never show up
I've been searching the internet like crazy and yahoo answers says their fake (well someone does) and their company is registed at some room in an appartment building, so ...
Also i do live in western europe so if anyone has any knowledge for me that would be great.
thx in advance.
Why would you buy from them a $400 tablet ?!?
No more reliable alternatives ?
If its the g-tab you are looking for why not check at steve's store ($350 + shipping).
Any way, if you really must shop at witglobal for such high ticketed items, make sure you use paypal, if within 45 days you are not satisfied with your transaction paypal will get you your money back.
Hope that helps,

Thanks for the images, how is the build quality ? does it look cheap as it cost
do you think it wont slide out of the case if the case is hold vertically (being put in or taken out of a bag or something) ?
Also it would be great if you can post a link to that second seller you found

How do you insert the GTab into this case? Do you sort of snap it into the case from above, and the clips grab the tablet? Or do you sort of slide the tablet in from the side? If the clips are very tight, then I imagine sliding the tablet in from the side may scratch the edges of the tablet?

Looking for a second AC adapter

I am having trouble finding another power cord for my Gtablet.
I want a second one as first cord is hooked to dock and if I need to charge the tablet while out, Id like to have one to keep in my backpack.
I read that you can get the MPA-630 adapter and its same thing.
But I've been searching and all I can find is the cheap knock-offs on ebay.
I have a universal plug with different tips and voltage settings and I plugged that into my g-tab but I noticed a strange noise coming from it, so I dont want to use that.
Not sure if these knock-off are going to be good to use or not.
What do you guys get?

http://electroniccrap.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_12&products_id=5
out of stock.
But that site wants $10 to ship a ac adapter via US postal service.
Screw that site
electroniccrap was set up by one of the g tablet community here to source accessories for us. It is not his day job, he runs it in his spare time. I don't know the details of his expenses but I've had dealings with him since before he put the site up: Steve is a stand-up guy and he is not in it to price gouge anyone.
Many of these items were made just for us. They didn't exist before Steve got involved and most likely wouldn't exist at all if he had not started talking to manufacturers in China on our behalf.
If you don't like it, you are free to buy elsewhere - you can search in here and find Chinese distributors for the dock and probably the power supply.. and plenty of complaints about the shipping times / lack of info - but please don't trash a guy who's doing something good for our community.
What do you mean by cheap knockoffs?
There are some Malata ones on eBay, Malata is the OEM for the gTablet.

Also can be found here if your waiting to wait 2-3 weeks from China and don't mind a lack of customer service.

Steve doesn't have enough demand to be able to compete with the Chinese sellers and/or drop shippers (especially since merchants on aliexpress and ebay started to allow single item purchases).
IMHO the guy is just trying to break even + offer US residents the convenience of 2~5 days shipment, not to mention that he also needs to use traceable service to protect himself against possible paypal claims.
You might think that this isn't the proper way to do business ? perhaps, but he isn't here to do business, he is here to help, and not so long ago Steves was the ONLY source for GTab "custom" accessories in NA.
Any way, back to topic.
Here is a US ebay seller who sells the adapter for $15 shipped, lets hope pyro doesn't snag them all for his ebay store

Hey, thats a killer deal, I say go for it ... Although he doesn't say it specifically fits the gtablet.
The Gtablet requires a high powered adapter with a special tip and our replacement AC adapter works 100%
Most G Tablets use a 12V power cord, so please look on your original home power cord and make sure it does say 12V

Nice tip!
Seems like all you'd need is an adapter that outputs [email protected] and the right tip from Radio Shack. I've a couple of 12V/2A adapters in my 'adapters jumble', but for that price I may not bother with a soldering iron...
Here is one for less than $10 delivered. I just bought two.

Of course coming from china = 3 weeks.
WD my book essential adapter ..
The tip as pictured on many web pages looks compatible.
Any one having one around (or know a link for the plug specs) can confirm ?.
Its $6 shipped world wide.

As we all know by now, "looking" compatible is not the same as being compatible (like the Sansa cable "looking" like it would fit our docking port.)
Considering that is intended for a WD external hard drive, I would think the polarity would not be right. The MPA-630 is KNOWN to be compatible.

Thats why I was looking for confirmation, its 40% cheaper than the cheapest available option.
The power adapter is inherently different than a data port at the end of the day it all comes down to voltage (confirmed)/ampere (confirmed)/tip size (needs confirmation)/tip polarity (needs confirmation) and not the 54 differently assigned pins in the docking port.
By the way, MPA-630 isn't KNOWN to be compatible, MPA-630 is the OEM adapter that ships with the GTab

Thats correct.
Since I live in another part of the world (Australia) I just went down to the local electronics store (Jaycar), with the original in hand and bought a generic plugpack that matches the specifications. Works ok, have never used the original supplied due to having the US plug.

Unfortunately, that is the risk we take buying from chinese companies.
I received mine and the problem is not that they don't fit, the problem is the idiots SHIPPED THE WRONG PART! I immediately emailed them (through ebay) and told them of their error.
Explain very clearly that you ordered an MPA-630 and they shipped you a ???? (whatever you got).
Here is what I told them (verbatim) and I got refunded that night. Please do not use the same exact wording or they will suspect shenanigans. Bad feedback causes them to have to pay a higher rate to eBay, so it is in their best interests to take care of problems. You play fair too though and once they refund, don't dog them in feedback. (I did find an American shipper for only a buck or so more.)
IT IS THE WRONG PART! You sent SDK-0605, which has the wrong connector and has only 3-foot cord as well. You listed the MPA-630, which is the correct part and has a 6-foot cord. That is what I ordered from you and that is what I need, nothing less.
What you sent me is not even similar.
Either refund my money today or I will file PayPal claim and leave you bad feedback! I do not have time to mess around and answer questions for days and I will not wait three or four more weeks to get a replacement from you.
Refund now please. Thank you.
It is not cost-effective for them to get you to return the wrong one (postage is more than cost of unit for them) so once they refund you (paypal, I hope) you can toss the mistake in the trash.
Just to add, again, this is the exact same adaptor that comes with the G-Tab.
This is the one that I purchased and it is working flawlessly. It is the exact same adaptor as the one that came with my gtab
http://cgi.ebay.com/Orignal-AC-Adap...0&hash=item563971f9f7&clk_rvr_id=244133430946
I received the replacement unit from a US seller and it is perfect, plugged in all day. No funny noises.
NOT the exact same model, but worked perfectly and has a slightly smaller "big" end that actually fits in my case.
Will update post tomorrow with exact part number, may be a good cheaper alternative.

Seidio EVO 3D Desktop Charging Cradle Kit Review

Hey guys, after reviewing the Convert combo last month, Seidio asked me if I wanted to review their Desktop Charging Cradle. So of course I said yes! Three days later and this little box shows up in front of my door.

}
Packaging:
The product was delivered by Fedex, and the package included the desktop charging dock, a USB to micro-USB cable, and a micro-USB to wall travel charger. Seidio sells the Desktop Charging Cradle for $29.95 and the Desktop Charging Cradle Kit for $39.95 online. As far as I can tell, the inclusion of the travel charger is the only difference between the two, so you'll have to decide if the price difference is worth it to you.
The box that holds the dock fits very snugly into the cardboard box, so I'm not worried about movement during shipment. Inside, the dock was wrapped in a soft Styrofoam type bag, which isn't the best type of material for absorbing shock. But again, since there isn't much room for movement, I wouldn't be worried about it.
Nicely packed and straight to the point
Preliminary Feel:
Before putting the product to use, I gave every part a quick check. Everything looked good and the box did not show any sign of damage during shipping.
Charging Dock:
Moving right along, we have the charging cradle from Seidio. It feels nice and solid in the hands. There's a certain heft to it, which is preferable for a desktop dock that isn't supposed to be moving around. Although the dock feels lighter than the Evo 3D, the build quality is excellent, and the rubber feet on the bottom are grippy and prevent it from sliding or moving around.
The rubber feet are nice and grippy
Attachment Plate:
Seidio made the desktop dock to be compatible with the bare phone as well as a number of their cases. Their website lists the Surface, Surface Extended, Active, and Active Extended cases, and extended life batteries as compatible with the dock. This is achieved through the use of the attachment plate, which is basically a piece of plastic to decrease the space available for use with the bare phone.
You use it if you don't have a case on your phone, and remove it when you do. Simple.
It simply sits in the cradle. Put it in or remove it based on your situation
Bare phone
Surface Case
Here's where I wish Seidio had paid more attention to detail. Using the case with my bare phone and with the attachment plate, everything fit snugly and securely. But using the dock with my Surface case, there was definitely room for movement, as you can see in the picture beneath. I'm guessing this is because they had to make the dock compatible with a variety of cases, but even so, I worry about the potential damage to the micro-USB port over the long term because that is the only point of connection to the dock. But being a desktop product, I don't think most people will move around the dock too much. When seated on the table or night stand, the phone rests securely. So as long as you don't move around your phone a lot while connected to the dock, or fiddle with it, there shouldn't be any problems.
You can see the movement in the above pictures; Only happens when using the Surface case and isn't a big problem if you don't move it around too much.
I didn't test the dock with Seidio's extended battery packs. But according to Seidio, the dock is also compatible with their 3000mah (Amazon only), 3400mah, and 4000mah extended batteries using Seidio's back cover.
Charging Cradle:
As mentioned above, the charging cradle has great build quality and a very solid feel. If I had to nitpick I would say the top is too glossy and attracts fingerprints very easily.
Fingerprint magnet
Once you plug the phone into the charging dock, it automatically goes into dock mode. Dock mode works in either horizontal or vertical position, but you'll only be using it in the horizontal position with the desktop dock (duh).
In desktop mode, you get a nice little shrunk down version of HTC's superclock to the right, which shows you the time, location, and the current temperature. On the bottom right corner you have a little area that shows you feeds based on your Friendstream, and the first upcoming event.
I like the live background showing the current weather, but it would be great to have the option of changing it to one of HTC's lock screen variants (like the stock market or something).
On the bottom you have the option of going into photo frame, connected media, and calendar. Photo frame and calendar does exactly what you think it does, so no need to go into details here. Connected media lets you play music and videos you have on the phone, and transfer files when connected to another device.
If you choose to plug the dock into your computer instead of the wall, you get prompted to just charge the device, or mount it as a disk drive. And if you have HTC Sync installed on your PC, it'll sync the content and contacts with your phone.
You can dim the display whenever you like by pressing on the little sun icon on the bottom right corner, and exit the dock mode by pressing the icon on the bottle left. When you want to re-enter desktop mode, you can open the app in your apps drawer.
Conclusion:
Overall I feel that the Seidio charging dock is a solid product. The base is well constructed, and the light up Seidio logo on the back is a nice touch. The base stays put on the desk, thanks to its rubber feet, and when using the attachment plate to dock the bare phone, everything fits snugly. The included travel charger is nice when you don't have a computer or USB-wall adapter handy, and the sync function via HTC Sync is nifty as well (but you don't need the dock for that, just a USB cable).
My only complaint with the product is that fit could've been better when using it w/ the Surface case. As it is now, there is some room for movement while docked. But as long as you don't fiddle with it intentionally or shake it really hard, gravity tends to keep things down (yes really) and keep the phone sitting securely in the dock.
I would've loved for Seidio to have added a speaker to the dock like the various ones they have for iPhones. The speaker on the Evo 3D isn't the greatest, and a speaker on the dock to amplify the alarm in the morning would've been very welcomed.
Thanks for the review. I just bought a cheap dock from EBay but if i don't like that or decide I want one for work I may pick one of these up.

Yea, I like the dock. I'd go for the $30 one unless you really need a wall-usb cable. But I think you can find one easy for less than that on Amazon.

I wouldn't count on it, they're from a different company after all. I'd ask Seidio about it before buying.
thanks for the review im going to buy one of these now im hoping it works with my current htc case if not i will buy a seidio one lol. did you by the 30 kit or the 40?
Did you haf to do anything special to get it in desktop mode ? mine stays in portrait
Hate to dig up such an old thread, but I didn't want to start another one since this one already existed. I just got this dock for Christmas and I have to say that I love it. I have it on my desk at work with 4G on and wifi tether doing its thing. I'm also listening to music with PowerAMP and have it set to sync constantly. I've sent a few text messages as well. The battery isn't dipping at all, even with the screen set to a 2 hour timeout (I like using it as a clock).
If you're on the fence for a dock, this one is really solid. I have to agree with everything that the OP said in his review. It's very nice. And its a great feeling to leave work with a fully charged phone instead of one that's almost dead.
judging by the great photos in the OP, this dock looks like it should work with the Acase Superleggra, does anyone who has this dock think there may be any conflicts between that case and this dock?
I finally found the case I like and now I just need to find the dock that will work with it!
Wish there was a list somewhere that stated compatibility with all the different cases out there.

Obviously the cheaper option to the original Sony EC21. (I wonder how much it is, and where u can get it)
I don't need the dock, but still want the EC21. Is it on sale anywhere? I guess the the adapter (Link above) will do the same job. Just fed up of worrying about the usb cover breaking/falling off, or not being closed properly to give it water proof ability, not to mention the hassle of opening and closing it all the time...
And I wonder how safe the thing is... With all the electrocution deaths and injuries u hear from 3rd party products....
EDIT and UPDATE
I think this adapter would be useful for all Z Ultra owners (and future Sony Mobile owners, including Z1) since it allows our (multiple) micro-USB cables to become a magnet connector charger at reasonable prices.
If anyone who can read/speak Chinese, and happens to visit Taobao website to find out further information, please leave a reply.
Meanwhile, the next best thing is this, which people have been talking about further down the post.
A USB cable with magnetic connector (similar to EC21, which I cannot find sold separately)
It comes with charger unit
available at http://dx-box.com/magnetic-charging-cable-for-xperia-z-ultra-xl39h.html
I am soon to get mine. On its way, should arrive within the next few days.
Since this is the only website where I can find this on sale, as well as the fact that EC21 cannot be attained on its own, plus the fact that DK30 is in short supply with high prices, I felt this could be useful for many people like myself.
If you find a similar product, or an alternative to what has been shown here, please comment.
Thanks

Oh well nice just to know such things exist. Lets hope we actually come across somewhere to buy it eventually.
I wanted to order the magnetic connector but I don't want to register on dx-box as it's weird they are the ONLY ONE supplier in the WHOLE WORLD.
I searched long and thorough but no-one seems to make/sell these anywhere.
I also searched for the image the OP posted but got no results at all. THAT would be a great thing and looks like it could cost no more than a couple of dollars/euros/whatever currency you have, same as the old miniUSB->microUSB converters.
I may buy like a dozen of them to leave literally everywhere I go, as microUSB cables are everywhere nowadays.
Someone could search trough singaporean forums...

what the hell, I can't have the phone for another month, and I'm not even sure if I will eventually buy one (will see Honami/Note 3 before throwing my money at them), but I bought a magnetic cable too, just to be on the safe side.
Not that 25 USD are the right price though, but if they'll continue to sell it exclusively I guess that's the price to pay...
just FYI, I managed to find the thread in which the first image was originally posted (Here), and they mention Taobao as the shop where you can preorder it.
I tried to search within the shop in english and chinese (with help from Google Translate obviously as I don't speak anything near chinese), but all it comes up with "Xperia Z Ultra Magnetic Charger/adapter" is the same cable we bought from DX.
Anybody willing to try and (possibly) succeed? :fingers-crossed:

just ordered one
but they changed the cable appearance (look like iphone cable)

Ordered mine too about 4 days ago, have you received yours yet.
Sony EC21
Hi!
Today I've received my DK30 dock, and found out that this accessory is FAR from perfect. So I disassembled it and found out that it's actually just a simple plastic box, holding a standard Sony EC21 magnetic cable.
So if anyone is not satisfied with horizontal dock that refuses to work even with the thinnest 3rd party TPU cases, it is a matter of one minute to remove the EC21 cable from the dock & use ZU with that cable & any appropriate stand.
I actually use it with Nokia's QI vertical charger left from my previous HTC Droid DNA, and it looks like perfect companion for Z Ultra (although, of course, the Qi functionality is unavailable).

Could you please give me the link for the tempered glass for the front?
P.s. I ordered the cable too but hey man, we're in Italy, could be 30+ days before it's here...

Sorry to hear that the case you are using is not compatible with the adapter that comes with DK-30 (that allows it to dock with cover on).
Maybe, now that your EC21 is out of the dock, you can still use the dock as a stand, but this time with EC 21 being connected when the phone is laid down on the other side?(with connection now on top)... I know, t defeats the original design, but surely better than not using or throwing it away?
I was thinking about DK30, but ultimately backed away because of
1) High price for what it seems,
2) Lack of availability (thus the premium slapped on it at the moment) and..
3) the fact that I could barely get detailed pictures of what it actually is... I was more interested in the EC21 cable, which seems not available at the moment as a stand-alone product. Dock would have been a bonus which I would use only occasionally...I needed the EC21 cable (usb-magnetic connecter). I wonder if Sony plans to release EC 21 only? I hate opening that flap for micro usb access!!

As above comment forced me to buy from DB box, I am still waiting for mine. Did you get yours? Has anyone?
Anyone care to do a quick report/review?
The charger seems to be a HP unit. What do you think? Authentic HP product that was utilized as cheap charger after some kind of redundancy/liquidation? Or do you think it is yet another copy product?
I am not the most ethical person, so frankly I don't care that much if it is copy/knock-off. What I do care about is the safety, after hearing multiple stories about injuries and even deaths due to unsafe knock-off chargers.
What do Y'all think?
