Can I force programs to stay in notification bar permanently? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi mates,
is there a way to have the "whatsapp" icon + shortcut (after you drag down the bar) permanently?
I'd like to have it the way Nimbuzz or Skype work and stay in the bar as I use the programm very often and would really like that feature?

i googled for "android apps pin statusbar" and found 4apps. dont know which fits best for you.
sent from my SGSII via T*patalk

would you mind naming them as I'm not from england and my google search doesnt match yours?

go to google.co.uk, then search it.

Damn...i tried them all but none did work
I just want to have a small whatsapp Icon in my notification bar permanently and the same icon with the name of the programm in the list when I pull down the bar (like it's for nimbuzz, skype and other apps)

If you read "about" in Bar Control, you can email the developer for custom icons.

Probably the easiest is to install a 3rd party SMS app like Go SMS Pro or Handcent.
Otherwise you'll have to replace the icon in a .apk.
If you mean the app icon you could use a launcher like nova, download an icon pack and change any icon you want.

I think he means the notification tray icon. If not... that's what i'm thinking of. Almost never know whether it's an e-mail or text that i received, except that text messages give you that shortcut right on the lockscreen.

Recent Apps in Notification Bar

Im scouring the Play Store for an app like this, a one line in notification bar that list the recent apps horizontally, preferable most recent on the left most.
I manage to find something like it but it list the apps vertically so its eating a lot of lines on my notification bar.
Isnt this a feature of JB bur removed from ICS?
here you go bro

I'm on kitkat on the moto g. For editing the notification icon, you only have to overwrite the stat_notify_sms.png from the messaging app?

Remove APP from notification bar, but not notification center.

Pretty much the title, I like / need the apps in the pulldown bar (like the Ultimate Rotate App), but I don't want its icon to appear up in the task bar, as it is useless. Same goes for Trillian, I'd like to get a notification up there when i recieve a message, but while its idle the icon is useless. I don't want all these icons that take up room for no reason, is there an app to get rid of just those icons up there? And no using "disable notifications" from app settings gets rid of too much.
You Need Xposed Framework

Second notification bar?

I got the mate 20 pro yesterday. Mostly it's great but the limited space for notification icons drives me crazy. Is there any way to add a row to the notification area and effectively doubling the notification bar? I really don't mind taking away from the rest of the display.
You can find in the display settings an option to move the status bar below the notch.
In this way you'll get a full row available for the icons.
I don't think it's possible to create a second row in the status bar.

That app apparently has some limitations, like being able to see the second bar only when showing the desktop on the screen, not while using any other app.
Moreover it requires a particular live wallpaper to work.

Thanks but that just fills the status bar next to the notch, making it look like there's no notch - it doesn't move the notifications/add more space for notifications.
Hey guys! Anybody found a better way?
It's really annoying..

This isn't the case unfortunately.
All this does is blacken either side of the notch to hide it. The icons will still appear in the original positions either side of the notch.
