You may have froze something that wasn't bloatware, check again just to be sure.

Don't freeze more than a couple apps at a time, then use the phone as you normally would & see if everything works. That way if something goes wrong, it's much easier to figure out which is the essential app

ok got things working again, now i cant make or receive calls...this has sumthing to do with the LTE SWITCH

the lte switch has nothing to do with phone calls since calls arent made over data. my advice? switch to a rom that is already debloated. save yourself the trouble

Can you list the apps you froze here?

If you are still having connection problems
1. Unfreeze everything
2. Reboot
3. Turn on airplane mode
4. Turn off airplane mode

Unfreeze half the apps you froze, see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, freeze them again and unfreeze the other half.
Keep freezing half at a time, switching to the other half when you cause the problem again and you will very quickly identify which app is causing your issue when frozen.
If you start with 32 apps that you frozen and you freeze the wrong half every time following this process, you will track down the problem in just 10 steps.
Focus on one issue at at time, ie X either works or it doesn't.
If you have more than one issue just repeat the same procedure. You could try and track more than one issue at a time, but that makes a very simple process more complex.

Here is a list of confirmed bloatware that is safe to freeze/remove, just in case: http://forum.androidcentral.com/thu...afe-remove-once-rooted-how-put-them-back.html
Basically do not remove VZW Backup and Friend Stream

Did you do a backup before freezing any apps? If so, load the backup and start again by freezing a few at a time. Or you could just unfreeze all the apps you froze.
When I first rooted my phone I actually moved the apps off my phone onto my sdcard and renamed them. Now I'm running a custom rom and that is working great.

[Q] What is going on with my Android Market?

Randomly my Android Market started acting up with regards to downloading apps. I can browse through and search apps just fine but when I click Install to start downloading an app it just hangs on 'Starting download...' on and off wifi.
I researched the problem and found remedies of starting gtalk and clearing the download manager cache, all of which were ineffective (obviously otherwise I wouldn't be posting this!). The only thing that was temporarily effective was re-flashing the stock firmware with odin. Initially I could download apps after flashing with odin but after letting the phone sit for a few minutes I could no longer download apps :-(.
On a perhaps related note I do recieve random notifications about unsuccessful downloads while I'm not even using my phone of applications that I've never even attempted to download..
Yeah I get the same issues with mine on the stock rom.i find that if I reset my wifi connection it starts to work again. Just a thought.

Ineffective for me :-(.
Anybody ?
Playing around with it a lil more if I toggle the wifi then restart the download it generally starts workimg again. Just out of curiosity are you in a poor reception area when this happens?

Had this issue on my G1 with CM6. Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. Scroll to market, click, clear cache. Let me know if this works as well.

Tried this as well as clearing the cache for download manager, no difference.

Nope, I either have great EDGE or HSDPA service.
Before anyone asks, all other web based apps that I can use at this point (browser mostly) work just fine.
My best guess is that it is just buggy atm, it would seem that it has a hard time deciding which method to use to download. For me at least choosing between wifi and edge/3g.

You can uninstall the market from your manage apps/applications without any harm. Won't remove the app, but will clear all the market data stored on your phone. You just accept the tos again when you open the market and you're going. Hope this helps

How to really pump up performance

I've been using the mini running 2.1 for about 2 weeks now. At the start I noticed considerable lag while sync or while heavy multi tasking. This simple way made my phone give a quadrant score of 570 without JIT.
* Install titanium backup
* Freeze every unused applications
* restart
Your so called lag will definitely vanish.
Removing apps is kinda bad to the file system because some apps will depend on the other for a service. Freezing just makes the app unresponsive and takes it out of memory completely.
Have fun. Post the result. Those who have already removed apps , ignore !

Thanks. Works really well. Only problem is still my lag in my msg app. Do you know which system processes we can freeze?

I read you have +7000 messages... i dont think you can reduce lag with that... you will need to delete
How can you freeze your unused AppS? I can not do that.
Whew almost repaired again, me and my stupid impulses..
Just to clarify, the apps that I would most likely freeze would be the same as those listed as safe to remove on the other threads?
I haven't really removed applications from my ROM, as my TB doesn't show me an option to restore an app once its been removed [though it has a backup]
Hence my 4th, most recent, repair >_<
warning i did this earlier and froze something that stopped the market from working, i unfroze everything and now i still get force close when i open the market
Specifically which apps did you freeze?
Can't remember but i know i did some google ones, i didnt think freezing them could mess up my phone
did you reboot the phone after unfreezing.
Yes many times, I have removed a few apps before I tried this maybe freezing them caused some kind of error?

[Q] Juice Defender

Does it actually work? And if it does, does it save a significant amount of battery?
Ive heard it works and I've heard it doesn't work I dont use it I get about 16 - 20 hours with moderate use using the freeze option in titanium backup pro this belongs in q&a btw
My bad on the Q&A part. But thanks for the help.

How, using the freeze option in Ti Backup to freeze an app, save your battery?
Some apps don't stop running when you back out of them some system apps run all the time but are not needed freeze them and they won't eat your battery all day long .......longer battery life!
Sorry for the noob question but how do you figuer out which app is running all the time even when its not showing up in the default task manager. I would love to use this feature to get more juice out of my battery.
System panel is an app you can get and see what apps are running in the background and if there not crucial to the system freeze them I would ask someone before freezing anything though cause you could really screw up your phone and have to odin back to stock which isn't that bad just a pain in the ass

Not to get off topic, but does anyone have a list or recommend common apps to freeze? I see it mentioned a lot and everyone says ask someone before freezing, but I never see examples of what is safe and what is not.

Freeze drm and samsung apps and media hub and then I freeze whatever apps I don't use cause some apps have core functionally if you freeze them you'll get f/c but I'll try to make a list of things I freeze and post it later

I'm curious about this as well. Is there a good rule of thumb abou what things are not going to cause problems to freeze?
Now, I freeze the basic stuff, like Allshare, etc. because I don't use them, but I'd like to dig deeper into what services can actually be frozen as well.

[Q] Phone is struggling to make phone calls, com.android.phone constantly crashing

It's an EVO 4G LTE, got it when it first came out, stock. No root or anything, never even tried with this phone. Recently it's been refusing to make phone calls. I click someones name to call, the phone freezes for a few seconds or nothing happens. I get the com.android.phone has crashed messaged a lot. Also happens to my messaging app, GO SMS Pro, which crashes pretty frequently as well. What do I do?

Sounds like a lack of free memory to me... Do you have a lot of apps installed? I've never had any use for Go apps because they use a ton of memory and cause lag.
Your best bet is to open the task manager app to see what apps are using the most memory and then uninstall them.
The other alternatives are to do a factory reset to wipe your phone, or better yet, root and install a custom Rom with better memory use (meanrom is my suggestion but there are plenty of options)

If that was the case, wouldn't I not experience these problems after immediately force closing everything? Because the problem persists and is pretty random of when it shows up and doesn't.
When u install apps u give them certain permissions....so when u stop the app it could start back up

You said your phone has been refusing to make phone calls.
Perhaps if you treated your phone better it might do what you ask of it.
If it refuses any more, hard reset it and show it whos boss.
If it clears up then you know right there you had a bad app or a memory issue..

LG G2 Min getting slow and RAM issues

Hi. I recently posted on this forum coz I always only had 120 free MBs and my smartlhome started to go pretty slow without any reason. When I was typing on whatsapp it suddenly closed, I couldn't send any instant camera pictures because camera suddenly closes too, etc...
So I decided to root my phone and uncheck the 2 options of MLT Test (Enable option and USB depurate option) and seems like I get more free mbs but now the RAM it started to get short again, Im still gettin 150mbs again and thats annoying....
There is any solution ti fix this? Im using Clean Master too.
Greetings.
Ps. I got an app of my Phone Company and I dobt know how to unibstall it, it is desactivated but I couldnt find thr way to erase it, I've tried many explorers but didn't show up.

Disable mlt is always a good way of gaining a little more ram, also the longer you have your phone running, the more it'll start lagging. So restart it for at least every time you charge it again. Also a bit more than that. Clearing caches isn't always the right solution, due to the fact that your phone has to load everything again, and it is sometimes quicker if you already have the apps cache there as the app will start quicker. If you have a lot of your apps running in the background, messenger, Facebook etc which are quite heavy when it comes to taking up ram, either delete them, or find apps which automatically close certain apps you choose yourself, and remove them from starting on boot.

Woah, thank you mate. I always close apps like FB or TW after using them so Im not running apps in the background. I will follow your advices...
Now I got one more question.
I'm gettin 43º (thats what Clean Master says) when I'm using whatsapp but CM saysa that's ok...
Is that really OK or should I worry?
Greetings

Completely forgot to mention, if you go into developer settings, then there should be a ProcessStatics or something, it's also called geeky stats, in there it tells how the memory status is, which is the thing managing ram and so on, you can click on every app and see how much it uses and so on, its quite handy. And I'm not sure about the temperature, it doesn't sound alarming so it should be fine
