[Q] Blur Calendar widget won't show correct date - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My motoblur calendar widget will not update to the current date. Right now it is showing that today is yesterday (which is when i placed the widget on my desktop). When I open the widget, the calendar shows the correct date, but on my desktop it doesn't.
I am using LauncherPro, and this widget is the ONLY aspect of Motoblur I'm using.
It's not like they made a fantastic, useful overhaul of Android the way HTC and Samsung have... they only made widgets, and I can't believe even those measly widgets are messed up.

I just started having the same problem with the wrong date showing up on my moto calendar widget. I deleted the calendar widget off my desktop, and now I can't add it to the desktop anymore. I am also using LauncherPro. I am wondering if it is now causing some sort of conflict.

same problem on my Milestone 2 ...

CM7 with scrollable widgets?

I am trying to get away from sense for obvious reasons. I'm only missing the friendstream, news, twitter scrollable widgets. Shopping revealed Pure Messenger/News widget as a viable option. Although to be useful to me it needs to be scrollable.
-Running CM7 nightlies #130
-ADW Launcher stock with CM7
-Verizon Droid Incredible 2
-Rooted, obviously.
Pure Messenger states that ADW is supported, but scrollable widgets must be enabled and it isn't currently. I find no setting for scrollable widget enable and the documentation for this version (latest) doesn't list it. However a previous version had a setting from what I find online. Maybe the non CM7 version?
Anyone have a solution for pure messenger or alternative app? I'm certain many people running CM7 desire these widgets so there must be a solution but a search didn't reveal anything within 6 months.
Note: I was having this same issue with other phones, and other launchers [read: go launcher, launcher pro], so this should apply to everyone. Including me when I buy the Galaxy Nexus upon release.

I love colorize widgets and android pro widgets (both very similar and have a nice timeline feature with the paid versions) adw does support scrolling widgets but I'm not sure if you need the ex version for that(that's the version I have) I also don't see a setting for it but both my colorize widgets and android pro widgets scroll automatically

I gave up on the Pure Widgets and went with Colorize. Scrolling works fine and I got the paid version and it looks really nice.
I thought the Pure Widgets were the most popular which would lead to less bugs and better support but obviously not.
Now the only problem is Colorize doesn't have a RSS feed selector or news widget like sense but I think I can get around it with customizing Google RSS feeds.
Thanks for the reply.

Ok, somebody should explain the need for scrollable widgets, or indeed most widgets, to me.
You swipe homescreens to get to the one you want, e.g Calender, Twitter.. and then you scroll it to find what you want etc...
Why not just open the Twitter or Calender app instead?
This sums up my pet peave with Android really. So much bloat. So much unnecessary carp. Why do one thing well when you can do it three different ways, badly.
I'm still not sold on the idea of multiple homescreens, in fact i'm as perplexed by the notion now as i was three years ago. Android has an app drawer. It has shortcuts for every app within. Open app drawer, select shortcut, use app! Why would i need shortcuts all over my homescreen?
And while i'm busy derailing the thread with my rant, what's with the honking great clocks and weather on the homescreens? There's a clock in the status bar and the weather is right outside. Use a window!
Obviously i'm in the minority here so i'll just crawl quietly back into my minimalistic hole. Good to get it off the chest though!

What weather widget is this?

Hello guys,
I'm looking for this Weather Widget, an online friend of mine has a LG Maximo 2x with this widget (see attachment, since I can't publish outside link because I'm a recent user)
This is the animation that opens when she tap the widget on me phone desktop.
She told me this is Accuweather version, but I can't find it . (maybe it isn't accuweather, I only know what she told me).
This app also allows sharing with social networks.
I would really like to find it. Please help me.
:fingers-crossed:
It is accuweather, since it displays RealFeel temperature, which is a trademark of accuweather. However, it is different than the accuweather widget we have for touchwiz. It is probably specific to whatever framework the LG phones use.
Nifty little widget there. Me likie.

This is the Accuweather widget, as stated above, but there is a difference between this widget and the widget that comes pre-installed on your S2. The pre-installed widget takes up half the screen and does virtually nothing if you press it. The widget in your picture is available after you download the "Accuweather for Android" app from Google Play.
After you have installed that app, add the plain Accuweather widget to whatever screen you want (!!!not the Accuweather.COM widget!!!) and you should have a very similar, if not identical, widget to what your friend has.
Keep in mind, though, that the picture you posted will only show up after you press the widget for more details. The actual widget is very small and has no animation.
I have AccuWeather for Android installed and that is definitely NOT the widget from it.
It has two, and neither one is the one in that screenshot. Its got the original dark grey 4x1 widget and a new, rather ugly and seriously battery killing, 4x2 with the weather and a clock.
As said, its probably a custom version done for LG just like Samsung has their own.
Not sure what you expect the stock TW AccuWeather widget to do when you touch it. It opens up the Samsung AccuWeather app just fine for me, just like the one from the Play Store opens its respective app.

The only one Accuweather for Android that appears on the GooglePlay is that Accuweather.com (wich is ugly, its the black one with no animation at all).
I really can't find that Accueweather for Android.
The imagem attached is the Accuweather for Android.
Hmm
Well I have the GoWeather Ex widget that is pretty similar to that one, maybe you should try that one out buddy.

Google Now Widget Issue

I really like what google has brought to the table to compete with siri. Google now is a really useful add on to android, however with the HTC one, i am having problems with the appearance of the widget. I made a new page for my homescreen and put in the google now widget. The widget page that comes up says that the widget is 4x4 and will take up the whole screen. However, when I place the widget on the page, it only displays 2, single, 4x1 cards, the traffic and the weather. I tried going into the settings to see if I could customize is so that I could rearrange the order, or possibly have the weather card be 4x2, but it does not seem like you can. Am i missing something, or is there anything I can do to fix this?
I had the same issue. The sense launcher seems to handle widget sizes really weird. I had a single icon widget with a unread counter on it, it wouldn't line up with other icons. Swap to Nova launcher and everything works as expected.

You can actually resize it to 4x1 easily after it's dropped on the screen. But you're right, it's weird.

Get the calendar widget from our phone?

I am temporarily using a galaxy s5, and among other things I miss the little calendar widget lg has that looks like the app icon but has the live date in it. I found a similar widget in the play store but it isn't quite right. Can I somehow get the widget of my lgog to put on another device?

[Q] Themer Calendar Widget Missing

I've been using Themer for a couple of weeks, really nice app. I noticed that the Calendar Widget is no longer shown, in fact only the Everything, RSS and Zooper are the only Themer widgets now listed. Is the Calendar widget missing intentionally? If not, how can I get that feature back?

Hi,
Unfortunately those widgets have now been removed due to many complaints from the Play Store about the permissions the widgets were requesting. Sorry about that.
The Calender events are already displayed.

It was a very useful widget. The current event is already displayed, so you already have the permissions for that. So, please add that widget back.
Thanks
