Font Changer App - myTouch 4G Themes and Apps

I have seen a few Glaciers font's changed using Font Changer from the Market. I downloaded the app and can't figure out where you get the fonts from. The app tells you how to set a font but doesn't say anything about where you get them from. Anyone know?
Are there any fonts anyone recommends? How about posting some screenies showing off your setup.

whether it also can be used in wave or bada os ?

To use font changer you sill need to download the fonts you want and copy them into sdcard/.fontchanger via root explorer. Once you copy the fonts into the .fontchanger folder, you go back to the font changer app, open it and you will see the fonts.
Just click on each and reboot when finish installing all of then.
You can download fonts from here

i use the same thing it's pretty good and simple to use and has a good amount of interesting fonts.

Which font is that your using?
Rooted/OC'd/faux 1.1.4

That looks like sony sketch. Same font I use. I think is the best font.

I like sony sketch but i thought it was too small im using zekton which is pretty much the same thing but slightly bigger

Yep! Using sonysketch
Rooted/OC'd/faux 1.1.7

I noticed that in the app description for custom font changer it says that you must be s-unlocked and have s-off.. Does that mean you must have radio s-off via gfree method and it won't work if you rooted with root.sh?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App

I'm not exactly sure..cause i have the right bootloader to be radio s-off but my phone isnt sim unlocked even tho i told it to do it...it was acting weird so i dont think mine fully worked, so i dont know exactly sorry

You have to be S=OFF but don't have to do it with gfree. I have S=OFF using the Visionary method and font changer works just fine.

I have s-off with root.sh file. My phone never seen gfree. I change my fonts with no problem.

Cool got it! Thanks for the tip to take the fonts from Windows, worked perfect and my phone looks amazing!

Not sure if it's currently working, but I know fonts wouldn't take when flashed in CWM when the TB first came out. I use an app called font changer with fonts I found in a thread in the EVO section. I pull the ttf files from the zips and place them in sd/fontchanger. You can also use that same folder to use different fonts for Minimalistic Text Widget.

For some reason Font Installer causes issues with some apps. Let's say you have an app that uses both standard and bold text. Sometimes that app can no longer differentiate between the two with Font Installer installed fonts, so it will use all bold. This is not the case with the standard android fonts
Is there a flashable zip to revert back if need too?
Thanks

the font installer app literally does the same thing as the CWM.
its replacing 3 .ttf files within /system/fonts.
the only difference is with one of the apps, you have the choice of going back to normal or to something else entirely.
the CWM replaces it permanently unless someone provides a CWM to flash back to stock/different font.
the installer will replace it 'permanently' until you select a new font on the installer and install/reboot

I am curious why, then, the app does not let you return to stock. The behavior I mentioned stays the same regardless of the font you use with that app, even the "stock" one displays the same behavior of all text going bold in GMail for instance. The only way to revert back was to replace the files in the system/fonts folder with what was delivered with the stock ROM.

Just for grins, could you take a look at the Gmail app and see if your list of emails shows bold text for unread emails and normal text for read ones?

I guess I must have a bug.
I even tried again with a fresh download of the app, I install any font and it messes up Gmail and other apps that use both bold and normal, and reverting to "stock" with the installer app doesn't fix it, I have to manually copy font files back.

Font changer Xperia Neo

Because MIUI already has it's own front manager, included in theme customization.
Maybe a .mtz customized theme with the wished font inside would do it.
