Has anyone else been charged by clove for their order? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was told that they wouldn't charge my account until they had stock and were shipping. I have had this pre-order for about two weeks and they charged me yesterday, but no shipping notification.
Anyone else experience this? Are we close?

When did you place your order? The site says stock is arriving tomorrow, but its sold out... So depending how many they're expecting...

I placed the order about two weeks back. I don't know for sure if they'll have enough stock to get to my place in line...But I was told they wont charge my account until they ship it so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a charge on their account

I would assume they've been told how many they're getting and are charging your card in preparation to ship... So if by the end of the day tomorrow you don't have a tracking number, I'd say it is time to open a real complaint.
I have my pre-order at handtec, so I'm in a similar boat of waiting, but they charged me right off the bat. Hope you get yours shipped tomorrow. I think I got mine in way too late to get in the next shipment...

Hey I also tried buying the SGSII from clove and I'm in sort of a similar situation. After I found out that the stock would be delayed, I decided to cancel my order to get a refund since they had debited the money from my account on the day I made the transaction. Turns out they don't have my money. Apparently the bank holds the money when the transaction is made till the company(clove) actually takes the money. After a certain period of time has passed by(depends on the bank) and the money hasn't been claimed by the vendor, the money is returned by the bank to the account. I verified this by calling clove customer service. It's been 14days and the money hasn't been returned to my account. I suggest you call clove to make sure and call your bank to check whether your clove transaction is in its 'pre-authorization' phase. Hope that clears things up.

Ya this is correct, happened to me too. However, my money already went through this process. I emailed clove and it seems that they are charging accounts now in order to ship out the phones monday!

BuyMobilePhones caution?

I have ordered a T-Mobile upgrade thru BuyMobilePhones.net. Having never heard of the company before I was a little cautious. They do however have one of the best deals I've found for my situation:
600 mins
500 texts
500mb internet
18 months
£30 a month
19.99 for the phone
The closest mobiles.co.uk have got is £35/m and £50 for the phone. And as its an upgrade I don't have to fanny about changing my number over which is a Brucey bonus.

I rang on bank holiday Monday and spoke to a bloke who basically said he cant do anything today as its a BH and he would be on the phone to T-Mobile for too long and he took my details and would call back Tuesday. 'Hmmmmm' I thought, and agreed.
I got a bit antsy in my pantsy so rang back an hour later. I spoke to another bloke who took my details and said he'd ring back in ten mins after speaking to T-Mobile, he took the telephone password for my account (the one you tell the operator when you ring up), I was a bit apprehensive but gave it too him anyway (I have changed it now). He rang back after about 20 mins and said its gone through and I should expect delivery on Wednesday. I said goodbye but was still suspicions.
I then rang T-Mobile an hour later and asked if there had been any changes to my account. They told me a dealer rang up questioning an upgrade to a Motorola Milestone but nothing had been put through. I rang back BMP.net but they had all gone home.
So I rang them today(Tuesday) and spoke to the same bloke and he said they have to put it through as a milestone to get the best deal. 'Fair play', I thought, but the big question is will I still get it tomorrow (Wednesday). He told me that he thought there would be enough stock in for my order but there may not be and I may actually get it Thursday.
I have just rang up T-Mobile (Tuesday 18:20) to ask if any upgrades had been put through on my account and they said 'No'. I will call BMP.net a call tomorrow (Wednesday) at 09:00 to chase it up again.

I had a 'mare with Buy Mobile Phones a while back. Ordered a new phone, they dicked me about, finally sent it, when it arrived the box was open, so I sent it back and they told me they wouldn't accept it because the phone was 'used'.
I had to scream, shout and threaten them with the office of fair trade before they'd even concede that it was them that opened it (or someone previously); and even then they gave me the old 'as an act of good faith' line. They are, without doubt, the murkiest phone shop I've ever used.
I wouldn't trust them any further than I could push them with my piss.

I ordered it 'new' despite being eligable for an upgrade with t-mobile. A new number for the specified deal appeared on my existing account ( a couple of my kids also have t-mobile contracts on my account) on Saturday along with the dispatch e-mail.
Therefore all looks OK.

How long was your order processing for mate.
I also ordered the same deal and got a city link tracking number which isn't tracking, but I'm told delivery is due tomorrow.... fingers crossed but will cancel and get elsewhere if any problems.

I ordered on 11th of April and my order was 'processing' until Saturday.
This was a new order.
Status is now that it is on the delivery van. Unfortunately I won't be there to receive it today and touch and go whether there will be anybody at home at all, so may have to wait an extra day.
Just had an email response to say that they have a massive backlog of orders for the galaxy s 2 and that is the reason for the delay in processing my order.

I Hear that I have several preordered too. Guess we could always sell extra on ebay to make up for cost if unable to cancle an order.
i was able to order one, delivery date of 1/5. Hopefully it gets delivered and hopefully its grey

My note was one of the few shipped by USPS, it was processed thursday and finally out for delivery today. However, my account still hasn't been charged for it, anyone else experiencing this? Am I getting a free Note?
Just wait 1-2 weeks for AT&T to clear and so does your bank to process. I was charged the moment I put an order online.
Yeah, I would definitely make sure your account has enough money in it if it's a checking account. I've been screwed over by a gas station before because they withheld charging my account until the end of the month and dropped it on my right before I had my next deposit. Wouldn't want that to happen with a 300 dollar purchase to say the least. haha.

Yes I'm aware but as AT&T said themselves, as soon as the phone has shipped the account should have been charged, my account has done no such thing.
I'm in the same boat as you. It was clearly stated when I preordered the phone(in-store) and in the conformation email that my account would be charged when the phone was shipped. It was shipped on Thursday the 16th and I haven't been charged yet. However, I'm not complaining.
They'll catch up to you in a week or so, they always do.

Never an electronic item though, just the occasional case. They seem alright, plus you can get a free microfibre cloth if you use a certain voucher code (I forget what).
Ordered mine straight away, as the pre-orders I saw in The Netherlands were €300,- (Total Bull**** right?)

Ordered yesterday at about 16:30 for delivery before 1pm today and here I sit...counting my steps and replying to texts cos there's not a lot else you can do with it yet......lol
MobileFun attach a letter to the box explaining that you shouldn't get it until the 7th because it won't be fully functional until then but they want you to have it early so you're ready to go etc.

By now, the watch is out of stock. Despite me ordering within minutes of them announcing it.
Not very impressed, and most likely won't order from them again. Not for electronics anyway.
^I hear you. I've just sent them my "thoughts" on the matter. That said, I've had a good few things from them in the past with now bother so I'm cutting them some slack. Their stock level calculations are obviously not to be trusted so I'll certainly think twice about ordering from them again.

Same here, cancelled my order. pre-ordered it from a shop in The Netherlands.
Selling a device saying it will be dispatched immidiatly and then say "oh its out of stock". not too impressed with that.
(As a web developer, I also find it a weird way of doing it. A proper system would be a count behind the article and every time someone purchases it the count goes count -1. till the point it has to say its out of stock.)

Really odd, ordered mine at 11:45 today and my status is packing ready for dispatch. Holding my breath now to see whether mine gets pulled. Maybe LG have leaned on them for delivering early.

yes it's normal, you are better off to cancel your order and go to the nearest shop, that way you also have a chance of customer service.

You should be able to cancel the order until its shipped. I have ordered from Samsung many times and the speed of the orders are hit or miss. The customer service is absolutely horrible, theyre lazy, never have any information and are clueless to anything. I ordered a deep sea blue note 8 on the release date in the US (nov 17th). they held my ordering in pending for over a week. Called customer service and they told me my funds were not verified but my bank pulled the money out. Samsung blamed the bank, the Bank blamed Samsung. Keep in mind this is TD bank which is the bank for Samsung finance. Long story short, i had to cancel the current order and re order the item. When i re ordered the note 8, it was cleared and shipped within two days. The bummer to this was, since i had to re order i lost out on the free Gift. When i pre ordered my first note 8, it was processed ASAP and i had it 3 days after it was shipped( i paid for 1 day shipping). They fought me on refunding that as well.

You might need to call them. I got worried when I ordered mine it took a few days to change to shipped even though I choose next day.

Also, how long until the pending charge dropped off after you cancelled your order?
Did you have a cancel button or did it disappear so you had to cancel over the phone?
Soon as I canceled it the pending dropped. Yes I always had the cancel button even after the item was shipped it was there. Only after it was delivered the button disappeared for all my orders

That didn't happen to me. My cancel button disappeared the day after I ordered.

Okay guys, so I called them half hour ago, and like @black96ss mentioned before, payment method not verified but yet they had my money in pending since the day I ordered. So I told the agent that I got the free gift already and what I should do with it? They just said to just "keep it" lol. On a scale of 1 - 10, I give their CS support a 0. Their CS support is use less.
I got upset and told her "Okay thanks for your time" and hung up.
Called back to actually cancel, this cust rep was "somewhat" helpful, he said he recognizes this as a fairly common issue and that he can send a note/email to management to get my order pushed through/confirmed or whatever and that I should get at least shipping email by Friday or if I want to still cancel. I hesitated for about a whole minute, then I replied "send it to them".
Not sure if I made the right call. . :/
