Angled Text ADWTheme - Vibrant Themes and Apps

I have been slowly working to learn how to do pretty much anything on Android. Don't get me wrong, I am easily teachable and have used many guides and had much support from many members of our community.
I wanted to share my Angled Text theme that I made for ADWLauncher with everyone. It is in the market for $.99. Being a Family man with three kids and on unemployment for over a year, gotta get what I can get. But I personally feel obligated to share it with the people that have shared and taught me so much. It still needs work and will be a work a in progress.
Any and all suggestions welcome of course.
I shouldn't have to tell you how to install it or ow to use it. You are all smart enough to know what an ADWTheme is.
I am all about simplicity. The images are just of how the theme looks and a handful of the apps it converts. I plan to add many many more icons and eventually move to various colors. I like the simple black with white text personally. Not to mention black saves screen power and battery on our vibrants.
This is built specifically for the Vibrant but will work on any HDPI device, including Motorola, HTC and all Samsung HDPI devices. I added the main activities for those devices as well.
Hope some people get a little enjoyment from it. If ya like it buy it, if you hate, well, thats life. Just wanted to put something out there no matter how meager it might be.

And thanks for sharing

I think it looks really good. I love colorful icons but sometimes I'm just in the mood for simple.

Android on Touch Pro?

Anyone got the official android os on their Touch Pro yet? I'm getting it on the 2nd and i want to port android to it immediately once i get home from the sprint store.
(by official i mean from the source code released yesterday 10/21)
I don't think it's that easy
Let us know if it worked.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done it yet, or if anyone has started, etc. I don't pretend to have sufficient knowledge to even try, so i was looking to others for help...

2nd, search before you post, there's no reason to clutter the forum with redundant redundancy of a redundant nature.
1) the wiki has like 2 pictures of a Haret bootup of the sdk rip of android, i was wondering about the g1 version android
2) Same as the above (sdk version vs. g1 version) last time i checked.
It's not like i didn't search, if anything i misunderstood some threads
You're named after a Dannon Yogurt snack, therefore I don't feel I owe you an apology.
Search function is your friend.

Android on Touch Pro
That would be an interesting ROM. The Dream has similar spec as Raphael, and they are within half a year of each other, so it would be quite possible to run Android on Raphael. I would like to try it, once Android gets better established and I get sick and tired of WM.
Longhorn android
has anyone tried androkkid on the longhorn rom of windows mobile 6.5? Mines mad slow

[THEME][Preview] Nookie Froyo Theme

While I'm not new to design, I am new to Android themes. This is my first theme and wanted to get some opinions. It's not completed, but before I got too far, I wanted to see if people liked where it was heading.
This will be for Froyo and I am hoping to have it released relatively soon. I'm kinda picky, though, so I'm likely to pick at it over and over again.
Update: This will be posted tomorrow (Feb 6th). Not sure on a time since my wife has been griping that I've spent too much time playing this weekend. Initially, this will be adb push. Not the preferred method so I will get a flashable version going ASAP.
Update Update: This has been released. Download with install instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944278

Nice! I can't wait to give it a go.
Me likes!!
That looks extremely sexy.
Thanks, everyone. I've got quite a bit done. Working on all the status bar icons now. If people don't mind doing an adb push, I can post what I have so far.
The biggest hurdle I need to overcome is changing the font color in the status bar. I've found steps on how to do it, but it involves some Java so I haven't got around to it yet.
As soon as I get done with the graphics, I'm going to start making my way through the XML files as well.

looks awesome. Can i flash it over the EMMC install?
I'm running the emmc install currently and it works just fine.

Stargate "Kawoosh" and more Boot Animation

Hey All,
Not too long ago I got my TFP and I absolutely love it, one of the few things that I did not like was the boot animation and the extreme lack of any decent Stargate boot animation. With a little persistence and patience I was able to come up with a great Stargate gif.
I absolutely loved the animation and spent a while creating the animation and the results are perfect.
I currently use the animation which is 1280x800 on my own tablet and I have shared it with a few friends who have used it with success and much enjoyment on their own tablets.
A download link can be found at http://stile.tigerpros.com/xda/bootanimation.zip -
The first part of the animationlooks like:

The 2nd part of the animationlooks looks like:
All credit for the art goes to ~SergeyDruid of Deviant art, I have simply modified the canvas size for the boot animation.
I am planing on doing another re-size of the canvas for the Galaxy S2X screen resolution and I will include a direct link to that thread as soon as it is up.
Feedback is ALWAYS welcome and please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.

Yeah. 4 years, and Google still can't make a smooth device.
I wanted to buy this thing, but I'm not so sure now. What's the point of such great hardware if the software can't handle it?

A gif?
Also, look up, the word "gullible" is written on the ceiling in 72 point helvetica font.
Well, maybe you could look at the gif and see that it's the Nexus 10 still having the same performance issues I had on Android since my very first Android...
Thing is, I was promised that the OS would be smooth/that it's beta software/that an update will fix it/that it's just one site.
And it's NEVER like that. Out of the five Android devices I owned (all high-end, I must add), not one didn't have any lag.
Five Android devices, five broken promises.
The device will be smooth, but I must admit that Chrome can stutter like this, If you used Dolphin or AOSP browser it just doesn't happen. Google dropped the ball with Chrome, it should have been updated faster, by making it the stock browser they are hurting the Nexus 10's reputation, this a a quote from the The Verge's review
"Not everything's perfect yet: scrolling in the browser can still be stuttery at times"
If Google had used stock AOSP browser, then perception of the device smoothness would have been much better. I cannot understand why Google released the device when a major part of the software was not bringing its A-GAME.
Are you crazy? Nexus 10 is super smooth you wont believe it, what does that stupid gif tell you? Buy the device and you will see. What a silly impression of the nexus 10-.-"
Let's wait until the device comes out before we start making claims about its performance.
