How hard would it be to do a version with the stock battery icons, rather than the circle mod?

Istallation:
Copy .zip file to sdcard, boot into recovery, flash .zip
Option 1
Root Explorer:
Extract to sdcard
Copy the files to /system and set the permisions "rw-r--r--"
SystemUI.apk - Move and replace to /system/app
SemcGenericUxpRes.apk - Move and replace to /system/framework
framework-res.apk - Move and replace to /system/framework
reboot when done.
Option 2
with terminal from phone:
Extract the files to the root of sdcard, then typ in this code
Code:
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
dd if=/sdcard/SystemUI.apk of=/system/app/SystemUI.apk
dd if=/sdcard/SemcGenericUxpRes.apk of=/system/framework/SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
reboot
Option 3
with adb from pc:
Code:
adb push SystemUI.apk /sdcard/tmp/SystemUI.apk
adb push SemcGenericUxpRes.apk /sdcard/tmp/SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
adb push framework-res.apk /sdcard/tmp/framework-res.apk
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
dd if=/sdcard/tmp/SystemUI.apk of=/system/app/SystemUI.apk
dd if=/sdcard/tmp/SemcGenericUxpRes.apk of=/system/framework/SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
dd if=/sdcard/tmp/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk
reboot

Oooh looks amazing Great work.
Edit: Oh also, if you're going for stock you could always add in the CRT Sleep animation thingy? I'm personally not fussed but it's an idea

You might find this useful
I've packaged up all the stock battery icons with a nice little percentage over them. Might be a nice option
I've included all of the charging animation frames that are actually used, and all 100 normal icons as well as the unknown and empty icons etc.
Hopefully youll find some use for them

I love it. A version for 181 with CRT would be very nice

Great, I'll try right away. Is it only framework-res that differs between versions 181/184?

Yes. I think so, I have only tested on .184

How come the preferences and notifications icons in the screenshots are all fuzzy? Is that just a screenshot error or do you need new icons?
Also are you using the battery icons I packaged or the stock ones without a percentage?
Looks amazing Thanks again.
PS. Also do you plan on supporting this as new firmware versions become available?

thansk alot!love u

Aaah okay, thats fine, I just wasn't sure if you needed those 100% versions since a lot of other themes seem to have trouble if they dont have an image for every percent haha.
Great work Hope it stays supported on future updates ^_^ At least until ICS, I might be prepared to give up Gingerbread style for the holographic interface

Hi,
Unless something else has been changed, it should simply be an edit to the arrays.xml file in /res/values once you decompile framework-res.apk
Look for the section "status_bar_icon_order" and the default order is:
Code:

clock

alarm_clock

battery

phone_signal

phone_evdo_signal

data_connection

cdma_eri

tty

volume

mute

speakerphone

wifi

tty

bluetooth

gps

sync_active

sync_failing

ime

homezone

Good luck, cheers, =)
Very nice.

So the original flash works for me when using frankin-twiz final. I decompiled the framework-res.apk using apk manager 4.8 modified the arrays.xml like you said, (funnily enough its just completely backwards) compiled it back up, signed it and moved it back to system/framework using root explorer. The order is corrected, but as soon as I unlock it it fc's all over the place. Anything I'm doing wrong?

The HTC clock widget is called 'Fancy Widget v1.3.0.apk'
(this version is the HTC style any higher or lower(?) and it will have a different style)
Tested on the Mini and works 100% ~ Should be without any Bugs (e.g. in settings)
If you want all the apps in grey/white/black then install the update.zip file it includes all the APKs!
Need to have ROOT to apply this theme.
I'm not responsible if you brick your device, use at your own risk.
I'm not going to add the TUT to this thread as I think xRecovery method is much easier.
(if you want the full manual installation TUT with pics --> CLiCK HERE)
Install this theme via xRecovery (<-- click, if you want to know how to get recovery on your device)
1. Download the 'update.zip' file: HERE
2. Do not extract it, copy it to the sdcard
3. Reboot your device into Recovery Mode
4. Go to install custom update.zip option
5. Click, Yes - Install /sdcard/update.zip, wait a little
6. Reboot your device and Enjoy
Installing the reboot files (do this if you are NOT using xRecovery method for reboot files!):
To install these manually, first replace the framework-res.apk then reboot your device, then follow these same steps for the 'REBOOT Files' then reboot.
To change the dock:
Check my other themes post: CLiCK HERE
Please don't forget to say

Well the status-bar is the same as the simplistic but has a colored black effect (looks good on the phone), no other main changes except for few icons that have been modified to look better oh and some of the icons have been changed to negative color e.g. white which looks pretty cool finally should be no bugs at all in this theme, I will update the others too

The theme/framework you have already needs to be compatible (modified) for the reboot files if it isn't or if you don't that it is, you will end up with a brick and will need to re-flash. (it wont work with the stock framework)
how can i run the other two files ?? the android.policy.jar and framework.jar?..thanks
nahh dont bother just find out how.. lmao i did not read xD

(upped it because its freeware in the market)
but i have fancy widget v2.1.2.1 and it doesn't look like that... why?
because the makers of fancy widget have changed the look of the widget, which they shouldn't have done.. so yeah download and install v1.3.0 on the first page and you will get what you are looking for
Thnx!

Just one thing. I dont have the same font as in the screenshots.
Maybe I done something wrong when I installed it.
Used xrecovery with update.zip and then manually replaced the other
files for 2.0.2.A.0.24.
Maybe you can post the fonts too.
I'm really looking forward to the Ultimate theme too
Thank you
well, as much as I want to share them, i cant unfortunately, its paid for font you see.. but ill try to find something similar and attach it to the post
I see. The theme looks great even without the fonts in the screenshots.
And if you post some similar font it would be great and I thank you in advance.
Any progress on the "Ultimate" theme?
Cheers

Great Job Manny! You should take a look at the "mobile data disabled" icon. Other than that it is perfect. You have change the "blink" sounds, too, right?
EDIT: Scratch that. First of all, I don't think any sounds are included in framework apk (how did I think that?) and secondly, I flashed a new rom yesterday and didn't change the default notification. Nah, a lof of hours over the phone cause these side effects

Hi Manny, I' ve been using the Elegant theme since it's launch, it rocks!
It is there any chance your could mess up quickly with the blue items in the theme to make them red, so that they match with this wallpaper?

I also fixed the button text color. It's hard to read on the lite version.

Yeah, can't you change permissions and replace the existing framework?

Yes you can! With root explorer, first paste framwork-res.apk into the system folder change permissions and then move to framework folder!
Could you by any chance also package the modified images for the framework? I am trying to build a tool to auto-replace and auto-sign the package, so that this circlesmod (and any other future mods) will work on all firmwares
