[Q] How to get Flash in Friends Stream - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

I really like the Friends Stream app and use it for all my news reading (twitter subs).
I updated Flash to 10.3 and it works fine in the browser, but the html view in Friends Stream shows nothing.
Is there a way to fix this?

Some flash does work on it..

It doesnt for me, not in the Friends Stream app.
I find this rather odd since I thought it would be using a standard Html control.

[Q] Can We Get DLNA?

Is there any way we can get the DLNA application onto any rooted droid 2's?
I miss the DLNA app from stockmyself...
I can't say I have ever used the DLNA app, but what functionality are you looking for? If you want to stream to your D2, VLC S&C works quite nicely.
If you search market for dlna you will find some options. Imediashare looks pretty good.

Try twonkey mobile. Works great with ps3.

Anyone using ORB?

I've got ORB installed on my home computer and the ORB Live app on my handset. So far I'm able to use my handset to connect to my home PC, view the contents, and stream audio. The problem is that I cannot stream video whatsoever. When trying to stream videos, live tv, or my webcam the handset sits there connecting, but nothing ever streams. Eventually I'll usually get the "failed to stream" message on my handset.
Anyone else using ORB? I'm wondering if I'm suffering from a bandwidth issue, or if my carrier, Mobilicity, is blocking something on their end.
Which browser are you using, stock android or third party from the market?

Stock browser, but the client on the handset is an app called OrbLive.
Screw ORB, go with Plex. It works flawless but it lacks the the ability to stream live tv at the moment

I've been using orb for years on my mobile devices. The ports can not be blocked, not sure which ones orb uses but make sure your router has permissions for the right ones. I did buy the orb app for android and it works good too.
The port blocking may be at your home end or it may be your provider. If it's your provider, check for alternate apn's that may have more access.

I used to use orb, haven't for a while but when I did I just logged in through Skyfire. Not as convenient as an app I suppose but I just saved as a favorite. Never had any issues using it that way

Tried Skyfire, didn't work for me. Android mode just constantly kicks me back to login page, can't access anything. Desktop and default mode puts me in a login loop between http and https and eventually throws an error. Tried Androrb too, no good, nothing streams at all.
Got no port blocking going on at all over here atm, just a direct line from the PC to the intarweb, with nothing but windows firewall in between.
Downloading Plex at the moment, will give it a try, but streaming from my tv tuner would be really nice. I'll take what I can get though I guess. I'll let ya know how plex works out for me.
Well, got plex and my handset refuses to connect to the plex media server. *sigh*

yeah, setting up orb was a pain, kind of hit or miss, to get video to work, but once it does work, its pretty good
check the badly organized orb website and their just as badly put together forum
there are some pointers there that, like me, just might get you to get it working
to be honest, it seemed like i did everything i could, it wasnt working, i uninstalled/reinstalled everything, and then it was working
weird stuff
I have been using ORB for a long time (from Windows Mobile) and it's a very easy way to have access to music, photos, tv, videos and documents... The problem is that the OrbLive app does not work with 2.3 and no update has been made to the app...

Streaming video

Okay, so as i learn my new Evo3D, I came across the ability to stream music from my laptop (wireless) and thats just awesome however I was wondering if there is a way to stream videos from my laptop to my phone. I have a bunch of DVD's on my laptop, and think it be great to stream them over to the phone.
What would i need on my phone in order to play them? Im sure I would have to convert them down (no biggy), but on the phone side how would i get them to play? If all i need is that Watch app, then im SOL, cause i removed that by accident.
I am not rooted, and sorry no plans to either.
Thank in advance for any help
Search for zumocast in this forum or on the market mate. It works well for video apart from 3d ones.

Check out plex in the market... their forums and devs are extremely helpful.
Thanks, the zumocast isnt compatible with the Evo 3d, Im reading up on the Plex, and I also came across QLoud. Videos on my laptop are DivX, AVI so im looking at the apps that will either play them, or convert on the fly.

Vlc stream & convert, that will work..in the market. You can stream over 3g/wifi and it converts on the fly.
is there anything i need to install on my pc, for the VLC stream and convert
Rds... i think u will need to install vlc on ur home computer and enable web interface
Thanks everyone.
The VLC, is a little over top my head, with the set up.
GREAT NEWS though...
I got Zumocast to work just fine, thank you very much Bebida
Now if i could just get the Watch app reinstalled after i removed it for no reason, id be very happy.
Orb on the PC and the Orb app or use mycast.orb.com in the browser of the phone
Good **** RDS

Just download a ROM from the CDMA thread that has it then pull the watch.apk from system, app using 7 zip then re install or your device. Should work I think???

You can stream medias from PC to phone with Connected media. No need to install other apps..
How about PSM(playstation3 media server) it is a DNLA server, there's one for win/mac/linux, it is pretty much a 1-2-3 setting it up, it streams and if need it mux on the fly, so if lets say the evo doesnt play nice with "example" ACC it will mux the audio to mp3 codec on the fly(cpu heavy on pc). On the evo dont have to download anything, just go to the gallery and there's a lil arrow on top right corner, hit it and navigate to Media Server, and you will see PS3 Media Server, and... bOOM! you get your list of media(you configure the folders on the psm [email protected] side), Google PS3 Media server....pretty easy! been using it to stream all my media to all my DNLA devices!
Edit: If you use Handbrake to add some line-tag to the 3d videos(if you have any), the PSM will stream 3D and your Evo WILL play it on 3D mode automatically with the stock player!! no need to download any apks on the phone, just PSM and Handbrake. Been using that with ubuntu/windows7 flawlessly. (nocturnal 2.5.2 - chad's kernel(new#2) )

Stream all AUX-output to my PC

Hello out there,
short an simple question: Can i stream my whole audio-output from my android device via a random protocol to my PC? I can only find one thread and there is no really solution Hope someone can help me
ErrorKid
when you connect your android phone to your pc via bluetooth you've an option that all what you play on your phone you'll hear it on your pc.
Thx, but is there a possibility to avoid bluetooth? I know i write any protocol - sry for that.
WiDi maybe could be an idea...
Actually I'll glad to know that too.
WiDi? It's the thing from Intel, right? What it is able to do? Is there no possibility to do it onyl with software? I'm a poor student with no money
DLNA..if your phone supports it. You can play your music, movies and share pp ictures with your pc or even smart tv, xbox or ps3.

Only works with media files, doesn't work with streaming media. So DLNA is already old and "useless"
Sent from my GT-I9100
Yeah thats the first thing i found in the internet, but there is a little big problem ^^ The only way i found to stream my musik from the SGSII/Flyer to my pc is over the stock musik player and i hate (no i really hate) the stock player >.<
The next stupid thing is that the only way i found to receive music on my pc is over Windows Media Player - yes you see, another stock player that i also hate
Is there no other Way? My dream solution is over "Player Pro" to "Winamp" or "VLC". Sry for the crazy claims

[Q] Streaming from BandCamp mobile site...

Hey guys,
I've got a HTC One and the other day I was trying to stream from BandCamp without any success. I tried the stock HTC Browser, Chrome and Boat Browser – which all failed.
There used to be a few apps to cater for BandCamp streaming (CampScout and Bandroid), but they have been removed from the Play Store.
Just wondering if anyone is able to successfully and reliably stream from BandCamp, and which brower they use to do so.
Thanks for any help.
Can someone please at least test bandcamp streaming on their phone and see if it works or not?
So amazing app i love it
