I was wondering how to make angry birds work on the android froyo FRX06 on TP2, as in I couldn't install it from the marketplace, is there any other way?
There is a version in a tiad thread I think on ppcgeeks that worked pk on our phones. It was modded somehow. Search over there and you should be able to find it. I have not tested it on the current builds however.

It wasn't modded, it was just the 'Lite' version.
If you find a 'Lite' version of the APK, use it.
I still don't understand the fascination with this game... I played the 'Rio' version, it's really quite boring...

It's just a fun time killer I guess, for when I have to wait in an elevator or something and have nothing productive to do... I have a friend who has 3 stars on almost every level... how he isn't bored, I will never know.

Perhaps your definition of 'worked fine' and everyone elses is different - was it laggy? Did you see a severe drop in FPS? AFAIK this is due to the original version being openGLES2.0, which our devices do not support...

Eh, I prefer games like Labyrinth... But I only play it like once a month. Not a big gamer on the phone, that's what my PS3 is for . (I do realize you can't exactly play a PS3 in an elevator, but hey.)
I only tried to launch angry birds (rio I think?) once, never actually got around to playing it. Lotsalag on some pre-play cutscenes so I moved on.

I'm picturing a ghostbuster's style backpack and either a helmet with a visor screen or, for the extreme sports types, a mount for a 40" LCD (for splitscreen multi, of course) suspended forward.

Working fine, as in it was playable, the cut-scenes were slow but that didn't bother me. Apart from that it was okay.
Certainly wasn't a "30fps" experience, but good enough for me.

The GPU was designed back when GLES 1.0 was new. It handles GLES 1.1 with an update, that's as much as it can do in hardware.

Indeed as highlandsun states - we do not have the hardware support for 2.0.
Ahh bummer. Oh well, the compromise we make with older hardware. I'm not yet ready to upgrade, and I enjoy the tinkering side of things anyway!

With all the kerenel and rom releases this place is buzzing but what good is all this speed if games lag?

VillainROM 6 doesn't appear to have game lag, like most new kernel ROMs. Give it a try

I kinda doubt that, all the vanilla/sense roms do.
Please if you dont mind, can you download sky force demo or try a demo on VR6 .

I just spoke to a few of our users on IRC. They are certain it's done. I will try Sky Force too. I would video it, but the only camera I have handy is one of these high-def compacts, and there's no way I'm uploading 720p HD video to show a game. No webcams handy either

ok forget videoing it when u launch the app, when the enemies are coming at you, press and hold the screen and release see if you notice any lag. If there aint then hello new Rom

try SpeedX 3D on Kimera OC and Villain ROM 6 OC and you will see the difference :S

So I wanted to buy the game from market, but it's saying it's incompatible with photon in my market. I know that's not true because my friend bought Gta from the market on his photon, and even the notes say it's for the photon 4g. My question, is the market recognizing my device incorrectly or how can I fix this? I'm stock and rooted. Markets updated, I tried clearing updates and market cache already.

I have 4 epics linked to my gmail and 3 of the 4 are compatible but the Photon isn't. Its a rock star glitch on the market
I'm just stock rooted (locked bootloader) on the latest SBF.
The game was developed on a tegra 3 so tegra 2 phones should all work. The photon was supposedly tested before release and again it works great for me. I purchased the game from market.
Edit: I forgot to mention I'm running the latest market that hasn't been pushed through (released) by Google yet I think it's 3.4.4 etc blah blah.
I know it works, I've tested it on other photons and there's no lag at all. Just aggravating knowing its on other photon markets but not mine.

What market version are you on? I can give you a link to the version I'm on if you're not already on 3.4.4. And yes, that sucks that you can't get it.
When I search GTA III, I get 3 different one's from Rockstar, only one shows compatable. Try looking at all 3 in market until you find compatable version.

I have the same version lol. I search for Gta spelt out and other items appear. I click on a shared direct market link from a friend and it says incompatible. When I go to market on pc browser, it says it's compatible with my photon from November (before I factory restored) but not with this one. Nothing changed, both stock, both rooted, same accounts. Never ran into this problem.

I read about gamepad support, has anyone figured out how to configure this? i'd love to make a sixaxis ps3 work.
There's a clumsy app called Sixaxis Controller which emulates screen presses. It's far from good but it's as good as it gets right now.

I have that, but it doesn't work in the way you've described, at least for GTA. That app actually works quite well on PSX4Droid, you can setup the key mappings etc for proper gaming.

Damn it doesn't work on my Logitech Review
It is still saying its not compatible with any of my devices except my Thunderbolt.
I really wanted to buy this but they aren't letting me....
This is just going to be a thread about Chainfire 3D.
I haven't seen a thread on this yet nor have i actually tried it on the device. So if someone can confirm it works we can start letting each other know the best settings and what not.

this is not going to work actually no support for ICS so maybe in the future. Should have read the chainfire thread before posting this one!

Tegra3 doesn't need it. Chainfire for lowerend devices really. Or devices that want to run tegra2 games that don't have the chip.

I'm wondering what does enable/disable 3D scaling in Vipercontrol mod does
If its off or on by default on the Prime.
Maybe control/throttle the working frequency of the GPU?
I'm just guessing here...
Oh and one thing I would be interested in, is to activate 16xMSAA with my Prime in Chainfire3D ... in my SGS2 it makes a world of difference, quality wise!!!!

Tried it, installed fine beta EGL driver, program ran but it says that our chip doesnt support 16xMSAA (option greyed out)... so for now it turned out to be useless to my needs, so uninstalled it.

Well not sure what exactly happened bc to my knowledge gameloft hasnt yet updated it, but however flashing jermaines newest rom i confirmed on the cornerstone and reg aokp roms that order and chaos is indeed running perfect with no mods at all, and throw in motleys new kernel its better than WoW. Everyone test this out as well see if its just me, or possibly just the rom

CM9 nightly (used data backup from TB and game runs good)

I really wish they would finally just merge the Android and IOS servers together. If they did, I'd hop back online in a heartbeat. Then I would build my guild back up on IOS whispering island server called "HELLRAISERZ" . We were the official villain guild. Ah, the Memories of pvp wars in Vega before dungeons came around and ruined everything. All people wanted to do was dungeons and no one like to fight anymore..lmfao. Real PvP, not dueling, was my forte

Very simple, start by reading my posts....all of them i mention Jermaine and his amazing AOKP Rom, so far i have been testing all the prime roms out there and his is the only one that works flawlessly or at all for that matter....dont know what makes it different but ive tested it many times on his 1.12 and 1.2 Aokp roms and also his Cornerstone alpha even runs the dang game LOL. go figure
Just unlocked my prime for this. Will install AOKP then, although I just had a problem with the wifi. Will report back later!
Edit: With AOKP the app closes after verifying the app license. Not quite sure how to get this to work. My TF201 is German.

Dang..it was THST serious? Lmao. To unlock your prime just for this game. All you had to do was look for the tf101 modified version that works on prime. No unlock needed. Just Google it. Can't link THST kind of info here.

Yea well if it was indeed possible to do that. I it would be awesome but unfortunately it doesn't exist for tf101 either hence why there is a zillion posts on ppl trying to find a fix
Yeah there isn't a tf101 mod for this game that doesn't crash at the character select screen.
And demandarin, it is THAT serious. I loved playing this game in my car during lunch while blasting music. I extended my data plan w/ T-mobile for my phone just to wifi tether to my prime for this game.

It runs amazingly and my phone has no issues with any benchmark, highend game or emu so I am guessing is a matter of the alpha status and maybe not fully compatible with the adreno 800 yet but want to see what others are getting.

Yeah it seems they have problems with 3d rendering. Definitely an app problem

Thanks for checking. I found time specific spots that make it reboot so at least it is easier to test now like in skies of Arcadia it will reboot my phone right after winning the first battle.

I can't get it to run. I did everything in the folders and it still tells me the files are missing
In the root folder create a dc folder then inside dc create a data folder.
Also make sure the two files you are adding there are the correct name as per the steps showing on their website or even the Google play link.
You may have to rename the if needed.
Phone rebooting is definitely a driver and security issue, and not a problem on the application. I don't have a snapdragon 800 device (getting new android devices is a really expensive thing), but i'll do some testing on adreno 203 that I do have. Perhaps I can fix the issue, but the blame is on the drivers
Well, knowing where the issue is, for sure beyond my knowledge but as long as I get a fix, I will be one happy man! :highfive:

I have the galaxy note 3 (Snapdragon 800) and everything works perfect.
I have read of the same issue from other adreno users and even my brothers snapdragon 600 adreno 320 does it too, so not sure.
I just updated to 4.3 and still get the same.

I have managed to get Sonic Adventure 2 working on the EU Flash but Daytona, South Park Chef's Luv Shack & Super Runabout- San Francisco Edition have caused hard & soft resets. At first I thought it was due to incorrect region flash files but tested them all on each game to no avail.
Still, amazing that this emu is finally on the march forward.

Yup i googled the bios. And it keeps telling me to the file in its respectable folder. I also checked that is was named accordingly
I have managed to get the emulator running, but most roms don't work / have serious graphical glitches.
I've tried several bioses, but no change.
