Will this work with the thunderbolt? The description says not for sense phones. But Im curious if maybe things have changed it sense 2 to affect this. Or would a Senseless ROM work?
I think it would be great to use the Kickstand to prop up the phone and play GBA games or something.
Reviews show that a thunderbolt user reported it didn't work on the sense rom. Like you said you already knew that.

No word that I have heard yet. Probably AFTER the official launch
All that .4 is, is the Google Talk app w/ video.
:/
LOL Fine! I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too..
Yeah, thats what I wanted it for! I use G-Talk on my honeycomb tablet, would love to use it on my phone to video chat as well.

Test it and let us know. I'd like to know so I can add it tomorrow when I get mine.
Also, can you point to the thread where it's posted? I'll download it now so I have it for tomorrow.
Sprint Premier users will have it tomorrow....

In my experience, it played the same on a 2.3.4 cm7 nightly and the shift 2.3.3 rom. The onto difference was that cm7 has more ram available, so going into the menu didn't cause force closes like it did on the sense 2.+ roms. On the stock evo ota the experience was 100% similar to my 2.3.4 nightly.
N64 oid sucked on my oc/d evo ..no Mario cart 64 for me..now that I think about it i guess Oslo have to pay for the emulators when I get the 3evo tommorow since i picked em all up for free when they moved to slideme

Which rom did you choose?

So after a s-off and and root established, a flood of devs posted there [WIP] ROMS up. So which one did you choose and why?
I know most of you chose a rom based on the dev and their history, but for me im new to the evo line, so im kind of clueless to which rom to choose.
I just chose shooter rewind just cuz it seemed to have more in it. but i'll be flashing others to try them out. =]
Right now im using Viper's RC1.. waiting for CM
I will try some but like Mastajeff I'll be waiting for CM7
Right before I left my Evo, I flashed Synergy Rom and was very impressed. might give them a try before CM.
Evo Zone - cause I love the blue in it
I think a lot of people are waiting for cm, I heard toast is going to be maintaining it =]
in the meantime im going to enjoy sense. =\
If history repeats itself, it may be a while before we have a fully functional CM ROM. As much as I'd like to get back to vanilla android, I think I'll be better off with a Sense-based ROM for now. I'm hoping the flipz gets Fresh ROM out for Evo 3d soon.
I'm using Viperboy's RC1. Viperboy seems to have some good plans for his roms, looking forward to them.
I'm looking forward to mik 3d, our whatever he will call it.

Root just came out and I'm pretty amazed at how many roms are out already. Glad I kept my 3D!
Quick question....anyone using Rom Manager? If so, how is it?
I tried synergy but went back to stock for now. Man I miss landscape sense that was on the og evo synergy. It seems like all the roms are stock just optimized. I know it will change..current waiting for flyer port from virus.
Currently on Viper since I wasn't really familiar with the other ones and the name just sounded sick so I had to try it. I do have an issue when google resyncs my apps some don't install and says insufficient space in my device when I still have 800some mb left. I just used titanium to restore them back in. Other than that its been great. quick boot up even with battery pull compared to stock.
But now Mik is working with Chogardjr and released a custom rom. I used Mikfroyo on my Evo 4g and loved it so I'm going to their new rom next.
Kudos to all the devs!
waiting for cm7 or miui
Patiently waiting for CM....
After using CM7 on both my Hero and Gtab, I'm actually enjoying the stock Sense rom so I'll probably give ViperROM a try.
Im gonna try a bunch and find out which one I like them most, right now I am running viper.

GTA 3 for Android.

I decided to grab this today, seeing a few comments about some Nexus S users saying it works fine. It's only $5, so what have I got to lose.
It seems to crash after the title screen, phones goes all black screen and stops. Anyone else have any luck? I'm running CM7.1 with the Trinity 1.44GHz kernel. I'm going to try different rom and kernels this evening.
I'm interested in this too. We may have to use chainfire 3d?
How do you buy it if your device is incompatible?

For me it crashes on start, even before the title screen appears.
Nexus S ICS KANG ROM, no OC.

Don't see that anywhere. Only a blurb about the Galaxy Nexus. Also doesn't say if it is tegra or not either.
Lucky for me I could still refund it even after a 20 minute download of the supporting files.

I got through the opening credits before it froze my whole phone & I had to do a battery pull.
pete's bugless from rom manager
matrix 11.5 oc'd to 1.2 stock volt
strangely enough, the market says this will run on my sony ericsson x10, so I'm gonna try that and see what happens
Nexus S running SuperASOP. Crash after intro. Battery pull necessary sometimes.

Odd. I did it through the desktop market on my pc and it said it was compatible. I noticed they had like 4 different versions of the game on the market.
Sent from my bathroom, with toilet paper.
This works fine on HTC inspire/DHD I do have chainfire installed with nvidia/Market fix

I sent an email to Rockstargames NY explaining the situation with FC on the Nexus S. I will let you guys know as soon as I receive a response. I would imagine it would be hard to optimise applications for every different hardware/software combination but I am pretty disappointed in RS that they didn't think to test on the NS considering it's a dev phone.
Like someone previously stated, at the time of my download there is no mention of compatibility with any specific handset so I assumed it would work. I'd say this will be fixed soon, so I won't be after a refund (happy to wait!) but hopefully they respond quickly.
Real nice on my atrix, got it working with sixaxis but the controls arent mapped so will have to work it out by trial and error. Get in/out of car is F and the analogue sticks work out of the box, hopefully someone will work it out and post a list
I bought it this morning and it runs great. I'm on a Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 running galaxy task v8 and pershoots kernel oc'd to 1.4GHz. It has occasional lag but its lag that existed on the ps2. Overall I'm happy and it was £3 well spent.

Really want this game
Was just saying to myself the other day how my ns could last be with me for years to come. But being able to play this game would easily make it worth upgrading. Anyone know how the hardware compares to ps2? I would imagine it to be about the same or a little better...

Is there a kids rom?

I've retired my Droid Eris from HTC and I would like to have the kids play on it. Is there any kid's rom that I could put on it?
Sorry but it doesn't look like it. I do remember seeing a WiFi only script in eris development a few months back, and you could put some kids games on it from the market. I'd recommend a gingerbread ROM, they were pretty fast compared to ICS and jellybean.
Good luck!
