I haven't seen any mention of this.
thanks

Never noticed that before, just checked mine, I don't seem to have that, although my notification bar is messed up looking to start with, I have random bars on the side.

ive noticed that on mine too

This is most likely because of your LCD density. I changed mine to 160 and this little seam went away.

How does one do this?
edit: nvm, found this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884602
and changed value according to this thread. Thanks junkrobot

Here's a little post I found detailing the procedure:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14047816&postcount=2
Hopefully this helps! Everyone likes different LCD densities, but I'm happy with 160, personally. It looks really crisp!

Huh. Have they fixed the "My Apps" in the market from disappearing when you change to 160 dpi?
Google Maps work now at 160?
Which Gapps did you install?

You know, I hadn't checked my apps at all, but I've had inconsistent results on that regardless of density, I think. What density do you prefer? I use Gapps 20110307. I also haven't attempted to use Maps, honestly.

Thats really odd! why does this matter to gapps I wonder?

I've messed with mine plenty and never lost the My Apps button.
Went from default (161) to 187, down to 175, and now on 170.
Tinkering around, everything works fine.

I just wanted to post that I've upgraded to one of the nightlies and it seems to be fixed w/ 161

I noticed this on the newer nightlies as well. If it's not to much trouble could you tell me what theme that is you are using?

Yes, I too can confirm this problem has been fixed in the nightlies.

both the themes gingerblur and elegant steel are amazing on the nook.. especially elegant steel. also both correct the bug aforementioned in this thread.

Is there any mod available to make this keyboard taller?
It's about 1/2 inch shorter than the stock HTC Trace keyboard and too small for my taste - definitely harder to type and swipe on it, IMO.
Has Swype been fixed for our phone yet?
I've always updated my Swype to the latest beta, and still get the 'break' happening mid-screen. I swype quickly. So I'm forced to swype slowly to avoid the bug.

It's not a bug, per se. Go into your settings and under speed/accuracy, set it all the way to accuracy. Out phones reading more quickly than Swype. Changing this fixes it.

Doing that still causes problems with my phone. I use to swype extremely fast on my INC.

That definitely does not fix the problem (though it seems to make it better by interpreting small touch-breaks as not touch-breaks).
Swype has acknowledged this problem, and since this was (one of the) only phone that is 720p on gingerbread, they have stated that fixing it is not so much of an issue.
It is believed to stem from the fact that there aren't individually-sized PNG's anymore, it just 'stretches' the Swype keyboard to your screen (in our case, 720 pixels wide I suppose) and the break in the middle is due to how it does this.
If this 3.2.6 is 3.26, it is the version I already have installed and still has the issue.

Best screen density to use is 220 IMHO, everything fits nicely. Depending on your rom you can either do this directly from rom settings or you can check out https://market.android.com/details?id=com.beansoft.lcd_density_changer&feature=related_apps#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEwOSwiY29tLmJlYW5zb2Z0LmxjZF9kZW5zaXR5X2NoYW5nZXIiXQ..

It fixed the market compatibility issues!
I now don't find the soft keys as useful as i did before, i tried them out for a full day, it felt awkward not using my actual buttons and felt like a use of unneeded space... I reverted, but I did want to know how to change LCD so thanks again man. I'll thank you when i have more thanks to give out. given 8 already today, it was all probably to you anyways haha

have anyone experienced this and have a solution
thanks in advance
I also updated my YouTube app to the same version as you, but no issues here. The 'seek bar' is quite small and obscure, however it is there. I only tested while the video was playing, not paused.
Have you changed the DPI of the YouTube app? If you don't know what that is don't worry.

I also upgrade to this. And what a nice update it is I also have no problems and am using 182 dpi
Yes I'm not using stock dpi, I'm on 140 dpi & 720p.
Sorry for OT... Is 182 your global setting Andrew?

OP, have you managed to find the 'seek bar'? If not, try uninstalling, and re-installing the .apk. See how you go.

i haven't changed anything - im using stock rom (unrooted) aswel if that's any help
It's the same problem no matter if the video is pause or playing.
If i minimize the video and then drag to maximize the video again i can see the seek bar shortly but then it disappears again
Where do i change the dpi?

xposed framework
app settings add on
you could change the dpi/font, etc for that specific app which is the only solution i can think of for now
Mine looks completely normal.

Yup, same here, but we're running at 400 DPI, while OP is running at 320. Still weird that the text is so small compared to 400 DPI, though.
OP, what's your system font size set to?

Ohh! My Font settings was "smallest" and one option on the gmail setting was somthink like "adjust mail to fit screen" (translated from my phone language) was checked. Changing the system font size make it readable again. Thanks to all, Cheers!!!

what DPI settings have you used?
After upgrading gmail on my phone, I also noticed straightaway how small the font was; hardly usable. On my tablet, it is fine. I went into accessibility settings, changed it to large; this fixed it, but across the whole system, large fonts are not great.

I had the same setting: "Auto-Fit messages". Now I have turned it off, and it is much better. However, the previous version worked fine with the same setting.
There is still the issue of too much wasted space on the new version. Maybe it is my normal initial reaction to such a big change, but so far, I find it a step backward on phones (tablets are ok).

[Q] Nexus 9 Custom DPIs

So the prime reason i root my devices is to mess around with the DPI. Has anyone tried any display densities besides the stock 320? If yes, how do you like it?

No. Instead, everything gets smaller, when you decrease the LCD density. To make things larger, increase it.
Usually we use this trick to make better use of the screen. More content and less interface area.
Try increasing the font size, or play with the accessibility settings. Maybe this can help you.

Those things certainly help. I wish you could modify the invert option. Triple tap to zoom is good. Just need a little more than the standard large or extra large font.
Thank you for the quick reply. Much appreciated.

You need reboot 2 times to verify if an app became incompatible. On 260 Botanicula, Bright weather and Angry Bird HD were blocked.
But if you don't use anything that is blocked, be happy! Like me, with the Nexus 5 on 261 (1 pixel before going into the world of phablets). ?
