I recently updated to 2.3.3 using the pc update software from SE website, and the update was completed sucesfully, but i seem to have a small bug with some of my pre purchased games.
When i was on 2.3.2 i had purchased a few games, for example Backbreaker 2 Venegeance, and after the update the hardware controls have stopped working so for example when you pressed circle it would juke right, but now it just pauses the game as if i was pressing the back button, and also the triangle button has become completly unresponsive.
The only other game that has been affected by this is fifa 10 which came pre installed with the phone.
Iv tried all the basic troublshooting, uninstall, reinstall, clear data + cache and tried moving the game onto the phone as apposed to having it stored on the sd card.
Anyone have any solution to this as its really frustrating not being able to play a game iv just paid for. I know that when i was on 2.3.2 it was all working perfectly.

I'd say it's not your problem, but the games'. They'd need an update. However, that FIFA stops working is to say the least disquieting, since it comes with the phone. I guess they'll update it on their own.
Not sure about all the games, as I didnt purchase them.
Just tried FIFA, since its preinstalled. Seems to me the buttons are working fine here, circle, triangle and all.
I am also on 2.3.3 Generic UK version, rooted image and Bootloader unlocked.
I mean all of my other games work as normal. Its just those two which is annoying but hopefully something will fix them

ok so I payed $3.99 for gameboid and installed all the bios and roms fine, however when it comes to playing the games the rom continually resets every 2 minutes or so, i know people who have it orking perfectly on different handsets, why wont my legend work properly? any ideas?
Had the same problem too, don't know if it's something memory related.
However, I was able to overcome this. I just let the rom start for about 1 minute, the saved via the menu in a slot. After it crashed and returned to the games selection menu, I've started the same game again, loaded the savegame, and it lasted some time longer. So I started it again, waited a little bit longer, and saved again.
I did this three times, and now I have no such problems again and can play as long as I want, until I reboot the whole mobile. Crux is, I don't have to do it again for every reboot, don't know why... But overall it's working great now on Legend for me

Since I've updated to the latest version it doesn't work anymore. The problems even got worse
For all those who have not noticed:
Gameboid compatability with the HTC Legend is fixed now. Works now on my device without any crashes...
Latest gameboid lite works well on my legend except golden sun

Hi all,
I have a mini pro (rooted + xrecovery + apps2sd) and got a problem the last few weeks.
While playing some games the phone after a while freezes for about 10 sec. and then reboots.
At first I thought it might be a problem with the stock 2gb sd card that came with the phone in combination with link2sd that I was using at that time so I decided to buy a new Toshiba 4gb class 4 sd card and use the xrecovery + apps2sd script.
The whole procedure went fine but the problem is still there.
To be more specific I am having this problem as I've noticed in some specific games
- "Drop" is freezing every time after two - three games
- "Abduction 2" will freeze less frequently, so I might be able to play for a long period without any freeze or maybe not.
But I have encountered random freezes in other games too even while I am in the main menu not even playing but this happens really rare.
So is it a sd card problem or something with apps2sd?
Maybe firmware? I am at the latest one (.06) and have to admit that previous versions were much better (less lag etc.)
In other words has anyone encountered the same issue?
Yeah, I have the same problem but it rarely happens. I'm in the latest firmware too, .6

i've had a similar problem while playing air traffic control, sometimes it freezes and closes app after game start and sometimes it freezes after a few minutes of gameplay.
also, when playing hex defense, the games freezes and closes when using the most right cannon (the one that costs $50 in the game and launches energy waves around it), if I don't use this weapon, the game goes on and on normally.
btw, my phone does not reebot after the game crashes, it goes back to "desktop" screen.
So we are three people already with about the same issue...
Anyone with a possible solution?

btw, my phone is firm 2.1 version 2.0.2.A.2.24, XRECOVERY, APP2SD, JIT and SET CPU to max (600Mhz)

I was almost sure that it was something wrong with the latest firmware (.06) as I thought that everyone posted here had it installed but now you really confused me...
I never had any problems with my first 2.1 firmware (.504) with any games but when I installed the latest, I did the whole app2sd thing too and maybe that is the problem.
Probably some games have issues when running from the sd card...
On the other hand "Nayef.Muhiar" said he has the same problem but he is no rooted so no app2sd for him then... So what then???

Phone restarts automatically while playing AngryBird, even I started the game and just put aside. Already flash 3 times still having the same prob. Non-rooted & rooted still the same. Anyway to make a complain?

this problem happened since the upgrade of 2.1
when i was using 1.6, the games (jewels, fruit ninja...)worked perfectly
ps: it should not be the problem of app2sd
i tried to install the game in phone memory but it's just the same
The same problem here on a mini with .504 firmware, it happens when i'm playing game dev story, it freezes but what i do is to lock the phone and then unlock it and the game runs normal again.
My phone: rooted, link2sd, setcpu on demand

For example I don't have any issues with Angry birds like "rickyccp" has etc...
Had freezes with prism3d ans mystique : ch2
Unrooted phone, un flashed phone, .6 update.
Using the default launcher.
Never had this problem with 3d games

angry birds only seqeeze the screen when its music turned off
Yes it happens randomly, now i don't have any problem with the games, this problem is in minicm too?

Update:
So I did some testing and reflashed .06 firmware and just rooted + app2sd but the freezes and reboot still happening.
Afterwards I reflashed again and just rooted without app2sd (games in internal) but still the same...
So I am pretty much sure now that .06 fw is the guilty here.
As I've mentioned in .504 a problem like that never occured.
BTW is there a way to switch back to .504?

you may search for the official .504 rom and flash it by Xrecovery
but i am not sure whether such a rom is available in the internet
mine is on .06 and it restarts on speedx 3d game

Hey guys! I have this really weird issue, each time I try to play Stardunk or Gun Bros, the phone would crash. The LED light starts flashing pink, there's a crying smilie face with the message simply saying the phone has crashed and that is saving a log to the SD card and that the battery should not be removed.
It also says that for more information, to visit https:// wiki.sonyericsson.net/androiki/c/ which brings me to a dead-end on any browser I try.
I've cleared the cache, re-install the apps and tried moving them back and forth between the phone and the SD card (32GB, class 4). It also happened with the original SD card that came with the phone. I also didn't install any apps until updating to 2.3.3 and then rooting 4.0.A.2.330.
So far only those games are giving me that problem but I'm going to check if more apps do the same, any suggestions? Is anyone else going through the same?

dont use pirated software?
Well, I didn't know that just rooting the stock firmware and downloading free games from the market would mean I'm using "pirated" software... I just wanted to confirm if the problem was my phone or if other users with this phone are having the same issue... But thanks anyway.
I tried over 60 apps and games over the week and only those two games crash the phone. I'll try un-rooting and see if it helps.

If more Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro (International, SK17i) users have the same problem, then perhaps we can make a list of apps that don't work on our phones, it would also benefit Mini and Active owners.
Gun Bros didnt make my phone crash just didnt start up. It aint working on our devices.
Hi! I've been having problems with my Motorola Atrix MB861, the Korean version from Olleh (service provider) which I bought just yesterday. I was downloading a few games from the Google Play Store, and when I tested them all out, NONE of them worked AT ALL. I downloaded Temple Run, Windup Knight, and Running Fred, and ALL of these games have NEVER worked, not even once. What happens is that whenever I start one of these games, it would only load for around 5 seconds, then go back to the home screen. For example if I click Temple Run, it would only show the "Imangi Studios" loading screen, and then go back to the home screen. Of course I've tried re-downloading the games, all of them, several times, and my Atrix has been updated to 2.3.5 GB, and it has already been hard reset. I can't play ANY games at all. Can anybody please help me?

Hey! Been there. The only solution (that I found) was to unlock the bootloader and install cm7.

Hello my friends here in Xda well I have a Xperia St15i recently I upgraded to stock ICS via SEUS and rooted it with the method by downgrading it, anyway not important, all went just fine I was happy with the new ICS and everything, I installed my Fav apps and all just go working fine.
I installed this games: "angry Birds", "angry birds seasons", "Angry birds space","They need to be feed","NFS shift","Doodle Jump","aliens" and "androidify". in the past in my older devices with GB and Eclair stock rooms this games never gave me a problem even on the current ICS until few days ago.
the other day I was just playin "they need to be feed" when suddenly the touchscreen stop working ...?¿?¿?... no message alert of fc and nothing came up the game still running normally but when I touched the screen for playing it do nothing, anyway the back, menu and home buttons still working and i quit the game by preesing home button, the stock launcher and all the other functions in the phone all were normal even the touchscreen so it seeemed to me like some bug on the game and I tought it was because some incompatiblility issue of the game with ICS. that moment I was testing all the apps I have, until I tested the angry birds I enter the game and for my surprise the touchscreen didn't work on this game, I quited the game and entered the angry birds season....the same problem and finally the angry birds space with same results. the other games i tried were fine. it was some kind of issue with this four games all the rest in the phone were just fine. it was very weird for me so i restarted the phone and again launched "they need to be feed" game, for a moment all went just fine when suddenly again the same problem, so I decided to remove the app and restart again the phone, that was two days ago. when i was playing angry birds again it all go working fine I thought the problem was gone until yesterday when I was playing Angry birds Space and again stop working the touchscreen.
I don't know what is the problem...maybe the hardware? or the latest update of angry birds? maybe other app in conflict? like set cpu? I don't know anymore so please help me because is anoing have to restart the phone everytime....
I tought it was the pinch zoom in the game but when in gallery app all go normal...I don't know anymore please help me

As far as i know, those games didn't compatible enough to ICS. That need to fix is the APP, not PHONE or ROM. So just wait the app dev to fix it.

thnks!!!! I start to think that too, because is weird that the touchscreen didin't work just in those games, and it's not all the time, yesterday I played again angry birds space and nothing happened all was normal....maybe are the games as u said, thnks brooo
