Hi,
I can't find an HTC_IME that doesn't crash on my HTC Legend with newly flashed CM7 - Android 2.3.
Is there supposed to be one somewhere ?
NB: the only one that doesn't crash but displays with ugly fonts with half the keyboard hidden is the one found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987175
NB2: any of those found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416 won't work

I actually had the same problem yesterday. Not found in the official application thread, there should be a link that links to a low-res Froyo version somewhere else on the forums.

Okay this guy was able to get the gingerbread keyboard on "all" 2.1 and 2.2 devices. I installed it on the non-rooted mytouch 4g on 2.2.1 and it force closes when you try to type on it. If you want to try it here is the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9913510&posted=1#post9913510 if it works on your phone, how did you get it to work?

install cyanogen nightly with nexus s theme from the g2 thread. works just fine.
i second his request.. reading through the other two gb kb threads got me no working .apk for a rooted stock rom..
Just to let you know sense and aosp doesnt get along. even if you do get it working its responsive is slow and its auto corrections are horrible. Galaxy s vibrant is coming out with gingerbread auto corrections. If you really want the gingerbready keyboard flash cyanogen 6.1 nightly. It comes with gingerbread keyboard.

I am only a month old in the Android world and fascinated (like a small child).
However, I have install the CyanogenMOD 6.1 on my newly bought Wildfire. I also installed the Googie application pack.
However, I still like the look look of the Original wildfire and the original applications which were provided by HTC.
So is there a way, I can have a Cyanogen 6.1 Rom with the original Wildfire them & applications? If there such a package I can install?

why don't you just have stock Rom with a custom kernel like Jacobs? with that way you can have the HTC look and still overclock it. sry if this was an stupid answer but I think the look is the best with cyanogen (im newb with this so sry if I am wrong)

Htc apps won't work on cm6 because its an aosp rom. if you want the Htc sense look, go to the UOT kitchen and flash a custom framework. Its on xda, search for it. I forgot the actual website, on phone atm.

Ive created a flashable zip to remove the larger keyboard in CM7 RC1 and replace it with the smaller keyboard found in earlier nightlys. Should also work for nightlys although I havent tried it.

This is quite a problem for Wildfire, as often many apps are designed for phones with larger screen.
It might work for CM6, try it, Nandroid first of course
Well not exactly 'ctrl', but really the swype key then a/x/c/v. I'm not sure if it's me, or the rom that I'm using but it's just odd that this awesome feature cannot be used!
When I first got this stock with the Swype pre-installed, this feature doesn't work. So I was guessing maybe the swype is not as up to date. So I've rooted my phone, first tried MIUI rom, installed swype (as it did not have it) from the website and it had the swype + a/x/c/v function. SWEET!
I decided MIUI is not a rom for me but the themes were so pretty, but oh well. I went on and got Batista70 FoxHound Edition 2.2. It also didn't have swype so I installed it from the website. This time, it didn't work (the swype + a/x/c/v). Just wondering what's going on and how I can get this feature as it's so convenient!

sorry if i'm starting a new thread, but i've been searching for about an hour on google and these threads. All the links i've found seem to be dead. If someone has the apk's to the thyparancy inverted or the regular thyparancy theme, please upload them. It use to be in the market and it seems to have been removed. I also read on another thread that the mattedgreen guys have taken over this theme but searched them and no luck. Thanks in advanced!

It didn't work on X's Quicksense(boot loops) so I imagine the same will go for Bulletproof. Looks like the theme is for a different base and I know Thyrus isn't doing anymore updates to the theme since he moved on to the Galaxy Nexus. I ran this theme on my Sensation and loved it.

Well I used to use it on my amaze with quick sense but u have to download the skin not the theme or it will boot loop.

running it on bulletproof 2.2.1, works well no bootloops
only the apk not flashing the theme
