[Q] Where to buy Samsung Galaxy S II in Europe (Spain) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This might be an odd question in a wrong forum but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask it!
My sister studies in Spain and she's going to return home 3 weeks from now.
I have the fabulous SGS and wanted to upgrade to SGS II and since SGS II won't be available in out country anytime soon, I thought it would be better if my sister bought it for me there.
I want my phone to be equipped with SAMOLED+ screen and the Exynos chipset. I don't really care about NFC.
The thing is I Googled but I didn't come across any retailer that distribute in Spain, and frankly I don't know how thing work over there.
I even looked for online shops but since I don't really know about any of them, I wasn't so lucky and in fact there are quite a lot of them and I don't really know which one is better!
She could order one online but there is another problem. Since my sister is not a citizen in there, she said she could get back the VAT tax on her way back if there was a proof of purchase for the product. However I don't know if she could do the same thing if the product was ordered online.
So I'm totally lost and don't know what my options are...
I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out here.
Thanks a lot in advance

[Q] Using an Unlocked Galaxy S III here and in Korea?

Hey XDA,
I rarely post on here, because I am usually pretty good and finding everything I need to know without posting. But I cannot find an answer to this question.
My wife and I are moving to South Korea as ESL teachers in 3 months. But both of our current Verizon Android phones are on their last leg.
Obviously, we do not want to sign another 2 year agreement with them. So I was looking into getting us unlocked Galaxy S III's that we can use for the next few months here and then activate when we get over there.
Korea uses HSPA+ and LTE (SK Telecom).
This is what I am looking at: Factory Unlocked GSIII
By all accounts this should work, correct? If anyone knows, I would be super grateful.
Thanks all the same. And if I missed a thread talking about this, please just point that out to me.

From the info I have seen floating around the web, it seems South Korea will get it's own variant of the Galaxy S3. It'll be similar to one coming to the states. It'll have 2GB RAM, LTE, although it will be quad-core like the international model (US model is dual-core). You can Google "Galaxy S3 in South Korea" and you can find this info. I'm not sure if this will work over there but I suggest you get the Korean S3 when it is released over there. It will have the best of the US version and the International version.

Both Korea and Japan use CDMA technology similar to Verizon and Sprint - the model you're currently looking at appears to use GSM technology, so it probably won't have very good data coverage. (I'm not sure if a CDMA version is available yet - readers: correct me if I'm wrong here.)
If you're planning to be in Korea for a while, I would definitely recommend waiting and purchasing the local version of the SIII when it's released and getting a cheap phone in the interim.
Depending on what your commute is like, you may also want to consider the Note. When you're spending 2-3 hours/day on the train, the bigger screen comes in handy, and with a pair of mic headphones, you won't look like an idiot holding it up to your face to take a call.
Best of luck with your new assignment - Korea is a terrific place to live, and ESL jobs there should be a great way to pad your savings.
Thank you both for the replies. I guess it would be best just to hold off until we are there and settled in. I have Android tablets and I like the Note, but already a little old for my tastes.
I am just super bummed out I have to lose my Unlimited plan from Verizon after we move... oh well...

[Q]About Hardware and all(S2).(planning to buy)

Well, right now i have a SGS i9000. but im planning to buy a SGS II i9100 which someone sells it for 290$(converted already to our rate which is actually 12,000PHP on us).. i sell my SGS to my classmate for 240$ (which is 10,000PHP for us).
**what i want to know is how will i know if the device(that im going to buy) was not repaired or changed its hardware before? and i see that there are some Fake android phones out there. but the original ones have samsung sticker and NTC seal on the back of the phone and the NTC is around where the battery is.***
when im gonna buy it, ill make sure that it can be connect to Google Play, and has similarly with my phone, and connects to pc, and if the phone is properly working with Odin3.
It's just odd that it's quite cheap. because most people sells their SGSII 2nd hand for like 360~480$(converted on our rate).
thanks a lot for the help!
help plox?? TIA

[Q] Which version? (Hong Kong, European, Korean, Eurasian?)

Hi everyone,
So I'm looking to buy a Galaxy S3 and the best price I've found so far has been online. Oh, you should probably know I'm in China right now. The website is Taobao and I use google translate to try and figure out what I'm staring at.. I'm not allowed to post a link, but if you google 'taobao' and 'galaxy s3' I think you'll understand why I haven't bought the phone yet. You see, there's one thing I can't make heads or tails of: what are these 'versions'. I'm worried that if I get the wrong version, it won't work when I go back to my home country (the Netherlands), or maybe it will, but without internet (or only 2g).. Do you think you can you help me out? A friend told me it doesn't matter and that as long as it's an i9300 it'll work everywhere, but I just want to make sure. Plus, this just got me really curious about what the difference between a Eurasian and Asia-pacific edition is...
Thanks in advance for your help!
European aka i9300. Most moddable and common model, which means best support.

Best place to buy Galaxy S3 in China

Hello everybody, my father is going on a flight to China and it's a great opprotunity to finally buy the Galaxy S3.
In my country, the price is about 730$ and I'm guessing that it is much cheaper in China.
However, we all know that the potential to get a fake Galaxy S3 in China is VERY HIGH!
So I'm asking you what are the best shops in China to get the Galaxy S3?? shops where it is 100% genuine and also good price
For example in USA you got "best buy" and stuff like that, so what are the popular shops in China where it's recommended to purchase the Galaxy S3 and how can he avoid getting a fake one??
--- I need the GT i9300 unlocked version ---
Thanks in advance!!
.........?
please don't bump the thread more than once every 24 hours. it's against the rules.
You can go to any major electronics store, I presume
When I was in China, I found a lot of places with S3. Most of the places I went to sold it for around 3800 yuan... I think. Then I went to a legit Samsung store and they sold it for 5000 yuan. I bought mines in Hong Kong for 6000 hk? I don't remember the price. But I think GuangZhou has it too. If you find a place where they ask for money first so they can order it, it's most likely fake. And remember. No refunds.
I typed this by hand.
