Suggested Thread(Dev opinions needed) - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Suggested Thread Idea(Sorry if in wrong section), if devs do not want this, could a mod please delete this? Thanks!
This thread is meant to relieve the load on devs and provide a source of ideas for them. No offense to devs, I'm not insulting your capabilities. Besides, I hardly know any programming.
Anyway, I'm thinking of collecting suggestions from the many people who make up this X10 mini developing community. I'm sure all of us would want to help as this benefits everyone. Also, some of us here have knowledge of Linux Kernel programming(although not in android) and could help. No questions are to be posted.
Here is an example of the format needed -
Kernel Unlocking - Fool the bootloader! <- This is the title.
Concept: Instead of trying to deactivate or skip the locked bootloader, is it possible to actually fool the bootloader into thinking the one you are trying to load is legitimate? Perhaps by imitating the properties of the kernel that the bootloader looks for, we could load a custom kernel onto the phone.
So, a question to devs - would you rather want or not want this? Thanks!

[Q] We need help, On to the Next Steps!

Okay so after partially pestering these forums, The "Hear the Echo" community managed to root the Kyocera Echo (THANK GOD) thanks to Revolutionary's zergRush! Now we have another set of steps that we need to do in order to fully bring this phone up to par. We need:
1. Someone to help us map out the keys to our recovery image (or just build us one if you know how, please and thank you )
-One of HTE's greatest members Saridnour (also a member of XDA) has put all he has into the site, from trying his hardest at porting a recovery image (or building one, I dont quite know), to simplifying zergRush's rooting script by building a program that did the rooting for us! HTE owes him a debt of gratitude, and if you would like to donate to him, please do so at the HTE site here. The Donate button is in his signature! But on to what we need, we need someone to map out the recovery keys! He has the Recovery image built, but it will only boot from fastboot and he cannot navigate to the various options because the key mapping isnt right. Does anyone have an answer to this?
2. Porting Sense to Gingerbread
-everyone loves the HTC sense UI (3.0+), and I was wondering how would I go about porting that to the 2.3.4 GB Echo. Better yet, is it even possible? I would like to have the UI down packed, plus, if possible, port the New Beats Audio to it, I think that it is really awesome!
3. Building CM7
-How would I go about building a CM7.1 nightly for the phone?
4. Building MIUI
-This phone has 1 GB Ram and 1 GB Rom, I know that it is more than capable of RUNNING MIUI, but can I build it, or is MIUI the only one that can build it for us?
5. Building a Custom Kernel
-This phone's battery is horrible, how can I build a kernel that will give it better battery life?
Please know that this phone is now rooted, so ALL of this is possible, we are seriously in need of some help, it is a lot of talent on the site, we just need some help being pointed in the right direction. Please and thank you for all your comments in advance.
Thanks,
Ognimnella

Are there guides for how to make custom ROMs?

I want to start making a ROM or 2, but I really don't know where to start even...
Also, do I need to know how to program or anything like that? What would I need (persona skillset-wise) to do this kind of thing?
Thanks in advance.
i believe you need a firm understanding of how linux works, and probably some low level development skills to write the kernel

Porting from VM to Ting?

I know over at the androidforums a few users where able to succesfully port from vm to ting. However they didn't really give too many details regarding the whole process especially with roms. Before I keep on going I'd like to apologize as I think this thread is supposed to go into the development section but I'm denied because I just signed up. Anyways I'd like to know what I need to do to in order to be able to flash the sprint based roms on here. Thank you.

[request] possible guide to developing for the v30

I only put this as a request since the most common thing is that people are looking for ROMs that haven't been developed. So I want to ask someone if they can provide the necessary steps on building/porting so we can all collaboratively pitch in towards development on the v30. Tons of users(including myself) would like to learn to build and or want some ROMs ported. If anyone can point in certain directions or even post a mini guide for the rest of us to use that would be greatly appreciated ?

+1 haven't built anything since Cyanogenmod, need to dust myself off.
I also want to make an H933 stock flashable zip. (minus recovery)
It sounds good, i would give a try too.
same as any other device. get build environment setup, download source and device trees and start building.

Help with Android Development

Hi, I am new here on xda, and this is my first thread so I wish that I am on the right section of the forum for this question. If not please explain me where else to move it. Thanks in advance.
So, I don't work as an engineer or somethink affiliated with this matter, moreover I have degrees in completely different fields from IT. But, the software development is a big hobby of mine from some years.
As for now I can program in C+, Python, little of Java, and I am spending these months of quarantine studying cybersecurity and system administration (lots of linux commands, trying dozens of linux distribution/BSD, trying some pentesting on a Metaesploitable I set up on a VM, etc...).
And here comes my problem which I address to you: I want now to start develop on android, trying to descover things etc..., one example above others I have an LG V30 with android Pie 9.0 for which there is no root procedure yet unless you downgrade to android Oreo, so how do I work on my smartphone directories? I do I develop on a Android phone? and what skills are required of me, in terms of programming languages, cybersecurity knowledge etc?
I thank in advance who will take their time to help me.

Thank you. Really helpful, but I need something more specific, this is for building apk, I want to admin my phone directories, like gaining root privilege (not with prebuild app and procedure) and modify things like the firmware.

Typically Android users steer / manage Android by means of ADB ( read: Android Debug Bridge ) . Hence become familiar with ADB.
Thank you so much, that's was exactly the insight I was looking for .
Is there anywhere where I can start with ADB? Like a section here on XDA, Github or somewhere else? Youtuve Video guide (serious and professional ones)?

I think you're smart enough to do the search yourself.
I'm not gonna waste my time: sorry for this.
