AT&T MicroCell with GS2? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm considering purchasing the GS2 for use in the USA on AT&T. However, reception in general at my home is terrible, so I have a AT&T MicroCell unit to improve my signal at my home. Does anyone know if the unlocked GS2 is useable with the AT&T MicroCell unit?

Thinking of getting Intl. version am on AT&T right now with MicroCell

Currently on AT&T and am contemplating getting the Intl. version because of the quad core as well as no carrier bloatware, etc.
My question though is I have to use a MicroCell at home due to AT&T not having great coverage in my area... Will the Intl. version of the phone still work with the MicroCell unit?
Thanks!
Bump
Never really looked into the micro cell to much but my question is how do I actually order the int. Version for AT&T.
Also Bump.

Order mine on July 1 from Newegg. Have noticed the price is varying from day to day. From past I found on other computer parts to order on weekends for they have bitter deals.

Sprint plans are cheaper than other providers which is why I want to switch to it. If they offer horrible internet speed I'd rather go with att or verizon.

What to get?

I've misplaced my G2X (i hated it!) and now I am looking to get a new phone under $350 Australian. What do you think is the best phone I can get at this price range? I am really keen on 4G and was looking and the galaxy nexus s2 4G but it lacks development. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
there are no good android phones at this price range?
Galaxy Nexus? $350 off Google Play, unlocked. I don't know if its available in Australia though...

Hmm... what do you consider 4G? Gnex has HSPA+ which most people call 3.5G and Apple calls 4G (stupid). Are you looking for HSDPA?

Can't talk about T-Mobile since I've never had it but currently have ST on my Note n its pretty nice for 45$ a month...good reception and FAST dataspeeds...best prepaid service imho.....
Is it truly unlimited? Or does it throttle after 2gigs? Thanks for response btw

I'm reading a lot of data issues with ST. Are you using an ATT Note i717? Mine is rooted with a JB rom.
Soft cap is ~2GB for data on At&t compatible sim card. Not sure about T-Mobile compatible sim card, but I think I remember reading on HoFo that it was around 5 gigs.
I received a call from them when I hit 2.1, but I haven't hit that mark since.
If Tmo existed in IA, I would switch to the $30 prepaid since I hardly talk, and when I do, I generally use GV

theres nothing wrong with it. cept that there are no roms at this point but thats expected.
There are plenty of roms in the M7 HTC One forum. Unless you need WIFI calling that is.
I heard that there a hissing noise that can be heard when using head phones.

I'm very happy with mine, it's your question that I'm not happy with.. you can find hours of videos and articles on the internet telling you what you want to know if you just spend a little time doing research like the rest of us did.

Won't there be radio compatibility issues? The international versions don't have 1700 MHz/AWS support, right?

Fortunately the WiFi calling on my HTC One is crystal clear. It sounds the same as my Time Warner line which is crystal clear.

WiFi calling is pro
Cons are just the annoying bloatware
Great phone,highly recommend

The only con thus far is the lame 3 buttons because there is not third hard button..... I hate losing screen real estate because HTC doesnt want to use common sense.

On pretty much all smartphones wifi calling here in Asia works great. Blocked in the US now like in communist countries??
Coming from a Nexus 4 user, so not biased in anyway:
Pros-
By far the best phone out right now (far above the GS4)
No lag whatsoever
Supports all frequency bands (2G,3G,4G, LTE on all GSM carriers)
Solid feel
Amazing screen
Sense is beautiful (opinion)
Wi-Fi Calling ( I get bad service in my house so I miss this feature)
Cons-
Although the materials are good, build quality on some devices has been sub par
Not subsidized on T-mobile, makes me very nervous to attempt to purchase or trade for one due to the fact that it was most likely purchased on EIP.
