I have installed whats app now i want to change my firmware so if i flash my phone will all the chat get deleted from my mobile?? is there any way i can take its backup & restore after flashing
i dont know if on whats app, but all my chat on ebuddy can be backed up n restored via titanium backup pro..

Before I updated my X10i to 2.1 I used Backup & Restore from SE to backup everything. And when I now want to restore it all, the only thing that is restoring is my pictures and SMS messenges!
Where the **** is my phone contacts and apps that the Backup & Restore app should backup?!
I'm very pissed of that my contacts and apps is not here when I restored them.
May they be on the "phonecard"? And where should I look? I'm talking about when you plug the phone into computer and u get phonecard from the phone.
What kind of **** is this SE app?

i just flashed my x10 to froyo from the original 2.1 rom. Before that i've backup my contacts with backup & restore application now i have the apk as well but i cannot install in on my froyo.. i need help if anyone can make the apk compatible with froyo or guide on how to install it using xrecovery.
Probably not so easily done.
I'd suggest flashing back to Stock and backing it up with another method.

Use MYbackup application which is available in Market..
MyBackup Pro for is working great for me,you can backup and restor your sms,contacts,calendar,music playlist,call log,alarms,system settings,apps and photos i'll send you lnk with the full version of the program if you want in pm
u can export your contact to sd.
and i use nebackup for sms backup.
Mybackup root does the job and its free in market

My backup pro restored my messages but failed to restore contacts
my contacts are always just backed up to my google account automatically so I've never worried about those.
And the SE Backup and Restore app will not work on any rom that isn't created by SE.
can anyone help? i wan ask about tat hw can i recover my backup-ed msg with my new ROM installed~

I'm not sure there’s a way to get them back now unless you restored your nandroid backup and then back up your messages.
I’m using MyPhoneExplorer to do this.
i backed up my 2.1 and wolfbreak CM V4.3 rom via xrecovery... now if i flash a new rom... can i restore the back up of CM4.3.
.i mean what exactly gets backed up.. the exact stuff on the fone(rom,settings,apn,wallpaper,contacts,notes,apps)..or
just the rom..??
and...if i need a rom change but same settings,contacts,apps everything...cld i flash the back up of an old rom..(i wanna check CM V4.5.7.. so aft flashing it can i restore the back up of CM 4.3 rom which i have...???
Simply do a backup in xRecovery of any system you want to restrore back leter. Apps will be backuped fine. Contacts and t.msgs will be lost if you won't sync them via google profile.

thnx buddy.. but what i wanted 2 know is that if im on "x" rom and i have backed it up, and now i got "y" rom...but i want the same apps and settings..widgets,wallpaper,notes,,everything on "y" rom... can i use the back up of "x" rom and restore in "y"..???
no...try something like "my backup root" from the market. Backup your apps and apks and restore them on the new ROM
Hi guys, i've a problem...i had an LG Optimus 3D and yesterday i bought a GSIII...today I root it and i transferred the folder of titanium backup of the LG on the Galaxy...I restored all the apps and now the native SMS app doesnt work,if i try to open the app it crash probably because it is damaged by the data of titanium backup ...What can i do now? I have to reinstall te .apk file of sms app? where can i find it?? HELP ME PLEASEEEEEEE
way out
when you use titanium backup to restore sms
you should restore only Data
that is, when you restore messages, you should restore DATA ONLY
and if you restore app+data, then sms application will always crash, because sms app of one phone dowsnot work on another phone.
Now the way out is,
1. you will have to reflash the rom (donot wipe data)
2. then restore messaging DATA ONLY via titanium backup
