I'm from Brazil, and before moving ahead with the Customs Roms, wanted to have a backup of my current firmware.
I'm with Ace, less than a week and do not know much. There is something like nandroid for SGA? (I had an LG P500, and it had not yet found anything similar).
I have looked also at samfirmware.com, but no firmware america there! (Brazil is in South America. )
Does anyone know if there is backing up, or whether we can download from Samsung's servers? Or do I have to content myself with Froyo forever?

you have to flash s5830xxka6 first after that you have to flashwith american rom
If you flash a one package file, before doing it you have to wipe data and cache, you can do it by pressing power and home buttons at the same time for a while
That worked for me, good luck!
It is branded for a chilean operator, but, if you open the tar (with 7-zip, for instance) and delete the csc.rfs file, you'll remove all branding.

I see that in Latin America, this phone is getting more known... In my country, the operator that brought the phone was "Claro"... although, I was a little mad because there wasn't gtalk neither gmail, and for me these apps are required...
Here in the apps section of this forum, someone publishes an update.zip which has some google apps, although it wasn't gtalk... I tried searching with no luck... until a moment that I messup everything because by mistake I installed a gingerbread zip...
Finally, I had to flash another rom, the 2.3.4, but I'm going to do a downgrade to 2.2 because there are a couple of annoying bugs....
Why the operators don't include all the google apps?

Yes, this is a problem with some Operators, the Firmware in Comcel don't include Gtalk too

Thanks for shared it.
I open the firmware of Movistar Chile and then open system.rfs, inside this file System directory extract the talk.apk file and put in SD card, then I excecute this file and install Gtalk is working fine

and for mini (not pro) same method but for me the good number was 1238-0549
so edit the build.prop with this number, restart your phone, connect it with PC Compagnion and surprise, it says the update is available
just downloading the upgrade from france after sooooooooooo long waiting!!
oh and follow the "indian"(lol?) method in this forum if you don't have the generic uk firmware before editing build.prop

After modifying the build.prop, shutdown your phone and restart it.

Also verify you have an up-to-date generic firmware as i don't know if branded phones can get the update right now.

creo que da lo mismo el operador por que lo que esta bloqueado es la SIM, yo creo que hay que pasarlo a la version UK, y luego hacerle update.

I need the italian unbranded 1.6 firmware.
Can you tell me how to downgrade the firmware too? I just tried downgrading using the last release of Flashtool and I got my phone bricked in a starting loop.
I've not uploaded my firmware yet but you can unbrick your phone flashing this one up here,root and change the build.prop with your old one, then repair with seus. It worked for me. Let me know if you need my firm, I'll upload it somewhere.

I unbicked my phone flashing firmware 2.1 again.
I didn't succeed flashing this 1.6 firmware. I tried with the last Flashtool 2.1.
Can you (or anybody else) give me a "how to" step-by-step in order to flash the 1.6 firmware?
No particular procedure. I've used the old one flash tool by binary and the decrypted firm. What is your exact problem? Does the flashing succeed?

Flashing succeeded, but the log reported that "userdata.sin" was not found and skiped.
When I turn my phone on it loops in starting.
Now tried three times, always solved with SEUS, but always in 2.1 firmware.
I will give it a try with an older Flashtool.
I'm back to 1.6 firmware. Thank you everybody.
I had some trouble because I didn't choose to wipe "userdata.sin".
I need to go back from 2.1 to 1.6 (1.1.A.0.8). But can't find 1.1.A.0.8

What you can do is isntall the 1.6 E10i from cocker80, then root your phone and replace the build.prop with your original build.prop, reboot and do a Seus Repair. and you should be good to go with your original rom
If you dont have your original build.prop ask for someone you know that has x10a mini same as your service provider. I could send you mine but its from claro honduras.

Well I will explain the Objective of this thread:
Here you can find your movil operator 1.6 firmware (if not here post the one you need and I will TRY to find it), for cases in wich you flashed a firmware on your x10 that isn't from your country or operator, and now your operator has released the 2.1 update, and you want to run your operators firmware in case of any incident with your phone.
Now, the instructions:
1. Download this and extract in any folder of your computer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951777 (The credits of this goes to Bin4ry and Androxyde)
2. Download Your Firmware and extract the folder to the same folder where you have the flashtool.
3. Follow this tutorial to create the .tft file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10881252&postcount=4
4. Follow this tutorial to flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943645
5. Now connect the phone to the PC and run PC Companion or SEUS. If it shows that there is a new software for your phone, follow the instructions and update if you want.
6. Enjoy your phone on Android OS 1.6 or 2.1 with your operator costumization.

Hi Friend,
My phone was purchased in Hong Kong and it does not come with Google play. Worse still, when I install Google play and install, the apps close unexpectedly.
I will try to flashtool first and will advise what I get. Thanks.

I think that you don't upgrade this firmware because you must try to upgrade one version more older !
respect your installed firmware!
i download new firmware from zopo but i don't understand the correct number of this upgrade...we say 1220.......ZP950_root_en_pre_1220!
but in this firmware there isn't ant file txt or doc that say the exactly version!
In this moment i don't have zopo 950!
after i tell you what is the correct firmware version!

they said I should have take out the save card when updating the machine
Now everything seems good. I think I am not going to flash it in a short period.

I just use OTA to update
Sorry I am not very sure about the previous version
but now is ZP950 20121227-112026
the engineer just took out the save card and sims
than update again
after that the update succeed.

I have updated my LG E425g and it becomes untouchable, I cant root it, I cant flash to downgrade. I cant do noting more interesting than install and use apps
how many methods to root a phone existst? i've tried with framaroot and other apps to root, also i've tried with vroot and it doasn't work too.
the phone after the upgrade becomes slower than before, and now I am desperate...
I need a help with this!!!

make sure you flash older rootable firmware !!!
i made it for other reason but it will do what you need

my relpy was sent automaticaly, it is incomplete I was solved this problem, and now i going to tell you how i do it. ...
I've tried to explain how to i solve the prblem but it apperars this message

I've realized that the V10A firmware is rootable, but when I upgraded my phone to V10B it becomes untouchable and the old KDZ updater did not work for me... Then I finaly discovered a new KDZ ofline updater. (if someone have the same problem, please use it)

This version of KDZ offline works with the lastest LG Supporrt Tool.
And finaly I've realized the V10C version is able to root, so i downloaded a mexican version of V10C with updated apps and it is unpersonalized.

I've used this video tutorial. The video uses the LG G2 but the method(not the firmware ) works with any LG devices...
The video is in spanish... sorry but the people who have this problem are mostly latin american. and it will work for them.

Todavia tienen esa version 10a? No puedo flashear la versión 10b de ninguna manera y quiero al menos intentar con ese kdz. Gracias
