[Q] Switching ROMS? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I am going to flash the litening rom tonight as I love the blue theme but I am also interested in the Villian rom so if I want to switch, would I flash the backup cwm I have made and then flash the villian rom or can I just flash from one rom to the other?

When you flash villainrom via odin, it will automatically clear your data ie full wipe, so you can simply odin flash it to the device, boot, and flash cf-root on top if desired

[Q] Do I have to flash CWR everytime I change a new rom

guys, forgive my noob question.
I plan to root my vibrant from Android Stock 2.1 and flash miu nb rom and the flash again a regular miui aosp.
Do I have to flash CWR everytime I change a new rom ?
or is it just a one time only flash CWR ?
No, once you've flashed CWR you are good to go and start flashing your miui roms. But you will have to flash it every time you flash back to stock 2.1...

No need to flash kernal.
But, If your developer of Rom said that custom Kernal is required then you should flash custom kernal....
For backing to stock rom you need SP TOOLS (Smart phone tool) & Scatter file.
Every custom Rom does have its own kernel included which works perfectly with it. You don't need to flash any kernel. Just if you want to change the kernel you can change it afterwards. If you want to go back to your rom you have had before, just backup your system folder with twrp for example recovery and then you can restore it back. Hope that helped.

Which rom to flash before twrp & custom rom?

WHICH ROM TO FLASH BEFORE TWRP & CUSTOM ROM?
What is the latest ROM we can use before we flash a custom ROM to avoid battery bug?
I assume it is related to the boot.img as I flashed another and batter was ok but no wifi!
Come on phone nerds let's get this sorted!
